guys who intrest on this you can copy this code and test it on your pc, when we click the link button in repeater's item will do nothing at the first time but it will work when we click it again.i have debug this and found that when the page is not in post back, the linkbutton's id will be "MainWizard_rpMain_ctl01 _lbEdit" in prerender method but after render it will change to "MainWizard_rpMain_ctl04 _lbEdit", but when page have been post back, the clientid will be correct as "MainWizard_rpMain_ctl01_lbEdit" and then event can be fired correctly.i thought this is a bug of .net framework, when i set the value of wizard's DisplaySideBar, it will ask to re-create controls but repeater haven't clean the item's count and then recreate item will use wrong item index, i hope this message can be post to .net framework team and they can find out what's the matter on it.

Dec 17, 2010I have very simple validation on the aspx page (highlighting not valid textbox), and it works perfectly. But when I try to work with this page using MasterPage, I've got an error - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." (with reference to the line "aControl.BackColor=Drawing.Color.White" - underlined).

Web Forms :: Wizard Move - Doesn't Work
Apr 20, 2010I have an issue with my asp:Wizard, where basically I am calling the MoveTo function and it is not moving to the desired step. I have used the MoveTo function elsewhere in my wizard, but I only have the problem with this specific location.

In the above code, ValidateSelectModelStep() returns false, and so the block of code is entered. urchaseWizard.MoveTo(this.SelectModelStep) is called, and yet the Wizard just continues on to the YourDetailsStep. This however is not he case for the other steps. When the validation fails on the other steps, and purchaseWizard.MoveTo(currentStep) is called, the Wizard correctly goes to the current step and displays the errorText. What is really bizarre, is that if I change the step that we want to go to when ValidateSelectModelStep() fails, the Wizard will correctly go to the specified step. So it seems as though there is only the problem with when you are on the first step, trying to MoveTo the first step. Even more so, is the fact that if I try to call purchaseWizard.MoveTo(this.SelectModelStep) from some other step in the wizard, it correctly brings you to the first step. Note: In the first step I have a repeater, which for the validation I need to loop through all of the items and find if one is selected. My Validation function for that works fine, and the MoveTo function does get called. (I checked it through debugging) Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it so my validation restricts progression through the wizard correctly?
AJAX :: Control Doesn't Work When Other Search Control Is Present On The Page?

There is also a bing search control on the page.
The issue is that the Ajax control stops populating the data when the search control is present on the page.
The ajax control works absolutely fine when the search control is removed

I'm migrating the site to a new server running Windows 2008 R2. When I tested the site, I fould that the BetterImage control doesn't work. I use the BetterImage control liberally throughout the site, so this is a real problem for me. I emailed the developer and he responded that I have to change the location in the web.config where I register my custom handlers. How do I do that? And are there any other changes I need to be aware of? How different is the web.config between the two Windows versions?

(I am a Delphi programmer moving somewhat reluctantly to Visual Studio C# , for web apps) I have created the simplest ASP.NET website in Visual Studio, containing a Textbox and a Button. When the website loads, I want Textbox1 to have focus. Simply doing

and this too does not work. However, if I press the Enter key when the webpage is displayed, then focus does move to TextBox1 (and pressing Enter again will fire any code attached to Button1). Surely it cannot be this hard to perform something so simple?

Jun 14, 2010I have a webdayview control (Infragistics proprietary ASP.net control) on my page. On the aspx source I've inserted some javascript (webdayview_click - clientside click event) that calls a webmethod in the codebehind. This seems to work fine, but when I
insert this webdayview control into a user control and move the corresponding javascript into the aspx of the user control, it doesn't work. I can't even insert a breakpoint into the javascript function to debug it. Is there a way to make it work? I want to enable the click event of the webdayview control so that when I click on it, the javascript function calls the webmethod. Here's my code (remember it is inside a user control):

Jul 30, 2010I have a form in aASP User Control (.ascx) file. Maxlength does not work for the multiline textboxe hence it is generated as a textarea, which has no support for this attribute. I could maybe use some asp validation, to prevent submission of too much text, but I want to prevent it to be possible to even enter too many characters, just like is possible for single line textboxes... I don't know if the control has any onload event that I could use to add attributes to the textbox from code behind and and combined with javascript fix this or anything..

C# - Master Page Image Doesn't Display On Content Page?

The master page lies in Root/MasterPages/masterpage.master
Now this image is displayed in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir/ContentPage.aspx,
but it doesn't work in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir1/SomeDir2/ContentPage.aspx. Why?

ASP.NET Page Content Doesn't Change?
Apr 2, 2010I created an application which has a menu where it's items are created dynamicly. The menu acts as a language menu.

I use session variables to set my current language.however if I click on the menu to change the session variable:

The thing is the content doesn't change, only after I click on something else.If I skip through my code after clicking on the menuItem I can see that it passes the code and it should change, however for some reason the page needs another extra trigger to modify it's content.I also see the page reloading so I don't understand why it's not changing immediatly. I guess I'm not understanding the asp.net logic just quite yet.
