Forms Data Controls :: Batch Update In A Datalist?

I have a datalist and it contains a checkbox bound to a boolean value. I need to be able to scroll through the list, click on the appropriate checkboxes, and then update all using the button control. The only value in the sql table that needs updating is the checkbox, although other values are displayed. What is the simpliest way to do this. My code behind is C#. This is what I have now and it all works except for the actual update method being called correctly.
My dataset table data is from multiple tables (showing on a gridview),How to update the database tables using batch udpate on clicking submit, if the data is from a signle table, no problem, but I am not sure how to handle if the datais from mulitiple tables? If I have related tables, do I need put them in differet tables in the dataset?
I have a gridview and when i click on the edit button i will get the modalpopup window which is having a popup window i want to update the data in that details view and refresh the data into gridview also.
I am using asp.net 3.5 c#. I am trying to do this:
In one page, a user can insert some stuff (name, phone .. etc) to the database. And then the user should be able to see the rows he added as a list automatically in a datalist (or other control). As he inserts rows, it appears in the datalist.
I tried to use update panel and inside it datalist, with a button as a trigger but it did n't work with me!
I cant get my datalist to update. There are no errors, but the data just stays the same when i click update.Also, can anyone help me with code to make the delete button work too?

Everything works fine, but when i ask the value of the textbox in update mode it still has the old value and not the new value typed from the textbox, anyone got a clue?
I have a set of data that has been displayed as just a simple GridView with the item name being a hyperlink to view details. I'm attempting to update this scenario so certain fields (sortOrder and isApproved) are editable from the main page and do not require visiting each item in the grid. I have converted the GridView to a DataGrid and have included a TemplateColumn for the columns in question. I have them hooked up to display the values appropriately. At this point, I'm trying to find a way to peek into the DataGrid and it's related data source to determine if the values have changed on the click event of a button. At that point, I could persist those changes back to the respective SharePoint list.
I'm not very familiar with the DataGrid, or GridView for that matter. Can anyone point me in the correct direction on how I could gain access to the data source at an item/row level during a button click event where the button exists outside the context of the DataGrid?

The problem is that i have a search page. Access Database holding the information. I have a Access Datasource on the page with a Datalist to show the data. I need to find a way on setting it up to says "Sorry no results found" when the is no results. i am unsure on how to do this though.
Am building a Form for out intranet that runs on ASP.NET and C#, it is to be a survey from a SQL database. I have the connections setup can pull informations/Questions from the database. I am having a problem with setting up radio buttons within a datalist, ive never done this and i know they require unque names.
It is to be 4 radio buttons per question where only one can be select, i know how to group just not via a datalist with unique names
I am trying to place a datalist inside datalist. I managed to place a datalist inside gridview but not datalist inside datalist.
Below is the code I am using to bind the datalist into the master gridview, I am trying to change this code in such way it will be right for datalist inside datalist but so far I did not succeed.
i have a datalist . that is contains 7 columns in repeat layout .when i have more from 7 columns , datalist style is normal .but when i have smaller than 7 columns ! data list style is not normal,
because there are some empty columns without specific schema.
How i can make a datalist > when i have 1 columns in my datalist my first layout width be 100% ;
There is two checkbox group which have same datasource, so in both case same checkbox are showing and also same event is firing for both. Here is the event code
Now what i want to do is, while check one checkbox from the 1st checkbox group the same checkbox should be selected from the second checkbox group automatically, also if i deselect one checkbox that should be deselect from both checkbox group.
