I am using asp.net 3.5 c#. I am trying to do this:
In one page, a user can insert some stuff (name, phone .. etc) to the database. And then the user should be able to see the rows he added as a list automatically in a datalist (or other control). As he inserts rows, it appears in the datalist.
I tried to use update panel and inside it datalist, with a button as a trigger but it did n't work with me!
The problem is that i have a search page. Access Database holding the information. I have a Access Datasource on the page with a Datalist to show the data. I need to find a way on setting it up to says "Sorry no results found" when the is no results. i am unsure on how to do this though.

I wanted to create a simple photo album just like facebook album feature Im able to display all albums, all pictures in thumbnail size in the album, but failed to view the image i wanted to view in normal size. This is my code in the Albumpicture.aspx which contain all images of that particular album

I am using a datalist to display data from a database.Except for 1 column all the other column values are getting repeated so I am hiding all the other column values when the datalist repeats itself.However, the unique column value is not getting rendered properly because there are many line breaks in between.I am not using any web control to display the static text and I am not sure if that would help.I just want to improve the final display so that the datalist looks consistent.I am attaching my code.

I have a simple user control which is nothing but a simple input field with runat="server":

My observation so far in the output rendered by a datalist (when I use this user control inside it) is that the value for the name attribute is the same.I want to use this control inside a datalist/repeater such that I'd want a unique value for the input element's name attribute when the datalist/repeater renders. How is this done?
EDIT: My bad obversation. Actually the names are unique. However, when I try to post the page to another web page which outputs the key & value of all the items in Request.Form I don't see the input elements...
In the main code, I just have a panel inside a DataList control. I'm attempting to adjust change the visibility to true or false in the code behind, but it's not having any affect on the panel.

I need to be able to scroll through the list, click on the appropriate checkboxes, and then update all using the button control. The only value in the sql table that needs updating is the checkbox, although other values are displayed. What is the simpliest way to do this. My code behind is C#. This is what I have now and it all works except for the actual update method being called correctly.
