I'm trying to get the jQuery gallerific plugin working at http://justrecip.es/ViewRecipes.aspx?recipeid=S9ML32WQO3&act=view . The gallery is loaded correctly, but neither the thumb grid nor the navigation (next/previous image) buttons work. There are no script errors, but it seems this is a JavaScript problem of some sort.
I am showing full year calendar in asp.net table and showing colors in table cell according to absence type. I want to show half blue and half white color in one cell if staff has taken half day off.

I am developed an web application in asp.net. In this application I have used jquery ajax for some pages. In this application, when I make two ajax call asynchrounoulsy that would not do as I expceted. what is happening is even the second ajax call finishes i can see the result when the maximum time out ajax call finished. I mean i can see the both results in the same time, not one by one. for an example. I have 3 pages
1) main.aspx - for make two ajax request.
2) totalCount.aspx - to find the total count. (max it takes 7 seconds to return, as corresponding table contains 3 lak records)
3) rowCount.aspx - to find the row details. (max it takes 5 seconds to return result).
due to this scene, I have planed to make asyn call in jquery ajax in asp.net. here is my code...
function getResult() { getTotalCount(); getRows(); } // it takes max 7 seconds to complete // as it take 7 seconds it should display second.( I mean after the rows dispaying) // but displaying both at the same time after the max time consuming ajax call completed. function getTotalCount() { $.ajax({ type : "POST", async : true, url : "totalCount.aspx?data1=" + document.getElementById("data").value, success : function(responseText) { $("#totalCount").attr("value", responseText); } }) } // it takes max 5 seconds to complete. // after finished, this should display first.( i mean before total count displays) // but displaying both at the same time after the max time consuming ajax call completed. function getRows() { $.ajax({ type : "POST", url : "getrows.aspx?data1=" + document.getElementById("data").value, async : true, success : function(responseText) { $("#getRows").attr("value", responseText); } }); }
I would like to know, If there is any possible to make asyn call in jquery ajax in asp.net. I searched in net, I got some points that says we cannot do this in asp.net ref link: [URL] if we can do this in asp.net How to do that?
I'm trying to save some content whenever a button/hyperlink is clicked using jquery.ajax (Using Asp.net 3.5). The logic is as follows:
Through .bind in jquery I bind my own method(MakeLog) to a button click or hyperlink click. The click events of button/hyperlink contain nothing, I need to use .bind for selective controls.Now we have a button whose click event will fire a method, say MakeLog.Code snippet for MakeLog is as follows:
This works fine in IE but in Firefox this is not sending the data back as expected.I tried to identify the issue and came across the following: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3522944/jquery-ajax-calls-async-false-vs-async-true .What I understand is that, whenver page is redirecting/reloading due to button click or hyperlink click the async call is not working properly.

I have a some data which is displayed in div body now i want to import that div content in excel format so how can i do this using javascript/jquery or even c#

I try to replace a html image link button with asp imagebutton. Initially it should display the upper half of src image for hovering effect. While using <a hef="link1"><img src="image1"></a> is perfectly fine, using <asp:ImageButton runat="server"
ImageUrl="image1" PostBackUrl="link1" /> displays the entire image (scaled). So how to display image's upper half in asp imagebutton?
I have a textbox sitting at the bottom of a collapsible panel which has a RequiredFieldValidator sitting underneath that. If a user tries to submit the form without filling in this textbox then the RequiredFieldValidator generates a little "Required" box beneath the textbox. The trouble is that the panel doesn't resize propely and only the top of the validation warning box is visible so the message isn't legible.
I tried adding some margin-bottom to the div that contains the textbox and validator to ensure the space was already there but the moment the validation box appears the collapsible panel automatically resizes so the bottom of the panel meets the bottom of the textbox, ignoring the prior margin. Apart from moving the validation box, does anyone know how I can get the collapsible panel to resize correctly?
yes i know half post ack occurs but it does occur right?so why doesnt the dropdownlist get refreshed when the timer ticks on?. for alternative i tried manually clicking a button to create postback but still no refresh of connection of th list

I'm starting to learn jquery widthout knowing javscript.someone told me that I don't need to learn javascript before learnig jquery.But I seen many people (in the internet) said that I must learn javascript well. to start learn Juqery?so do I must to learn javascript before jquery?
I have implemented a lot fo JQuery features into my ASP.Net web application. I am using JQuery, JQueryUI, JQuery Validation and a couple of other plugins. They are all coexisting and working fine. This one page in my app has the JQueryUI tabs, Modal progress pop-up working just fine. This page also has a couple of JQuery AJAX calls to my server side events. That all works fine!
I just added a Jquery date picker to one of the text boxes on the first tab on my data entry form and nothing happens or is displayed when you click on the date textbox. I am going to post the HTML markup for the page and my JQuery code. Please let me know if you see anything glaring? HTML
I have the following jQuery that does find the ASP.NET server control (tested by placing an alert() inside block), but it does not set the height on the next DIV in the DOM using .next(). However if I use straight JS to do the same thing, calling the DIV by ID directly it works fine. What I am trying to do is not use the hardcoded ID of the DIV in case it changes, and rather walk the DOM to dynamically get to the element and set the height. So 1st: the HTML source of what I am trying to manipulate:
Next the non-working jQuery that I think should work:
//Using the 'DIV' that is created by the viewer (at runtime), resize it dynamically to fit the window var myHeight = $(window).height(); if ($('#<%=WebViewer.ClientID %>') != null) { $('#<%=WebViewer.ClientID %>').next('div').height(myHeight - 10); }
And lastly the JS that does work, but I would prefer not to access that DIV by a hardcoded ID and use jQuery instead:
var myHeight = $(window).height(); //Using the 'DIV' that is created by the viewer (at runtime), resize it dynamically to fit the window if (document.getElementById('WebViewer_controlDiv') != null) { document.getElementById('WebViewer_controlDiv').style.height = myHeight - 10; }
why walking the DOM in jQuery to get the 'next' div and set its height is not working?
