I am having a problem with this code, i had a post on this however this code is slightly different to that so i thought i would post a spearate thread.
Anyway, what i am trying to do is display job vacancies by the result of a DropDownList value. Now each job name has a description. The problem i am having is i need to display the results in this logic:
Job nameJob descriptionJob location. But what is happening is the job description (body) is repeating the more vacancies there are. This is the page:
If you select Deputy Nursery Manager from the DropDown and hit the Search button you will see the results. After listing the first two locations the description is repeated and then the 3rd location is shown after this. This is my code:
I have this ListView that has a Drop Down List.Everything works fine (I think/hope) except that the drop down list are not showing its result correctly.This is the code.

I have a Gridview that has Paging enabled, and I need to loop through all the rows of the data. Therefore, I assume I need to loop through the datasource instead of through the Gridview.
I change the datasource of my gridview at various times when running.
How can I get a DataView of the GridView's current DataSource, so that I can loop through it?
Something like:
Dim dv as DataView = DirectCast(GridView1.DataSource, DataView)
except that this comes back as Nothing, probably because a Datasource isn't a dataview.
I have a gridview which I am using to display a dataset result. The problem is I am using paging in it. But when I click on the page # it says that I haven't handled the event. Do I need to rebind the dataset?

I came across a situation where a user selects no of rows from dropdown , depending upon the user input, automatically that no of editable rows should appear to input data...(maximum 8 rows only)

Till now I used to design RDLC file before and assigned typed dataset table columns.Report processing mode is local. But now my stored procedure returns different columns based on condition i.e columns are not fixed every time. Now I need to add that columns to typed dataset and dataset is assigned to RDLC file. I have a Gridview and two link button in that GridView , one link button click is to add edit row ( Edit ), one link button click is to select row ( Select ). I have a dropdownlist inside row which selected when i click link button Select in the gridview edit template, as of my business logic i need to show the dropdownlist only when the user clicks Edit button and when the user clicks Select button . So I have a dropdownlist and I'm trying to populate it with values in the database. For some reason, half of the rows has no value. It's happenning in a sequence as well, like the first row has no value, then the second row has value, then the third hasno value....
I'm trying to filter data based on the selected value from a drop down list and the according values of a local variable within a gridview_rowdatabound event. For example, if "In Arrears" is selected, the gridview should return all rows where the account balance is less than -100. So far, when I select a value from the dropdown list, it has no effect on the gridview. Here's the code I have:

Is it possible to add values from different database rows to a dropdownlist?
I'm currently trying to add both ItemSizeSmall and ItemSizeMedium, but through trial and error I can still only add one row from the database. I want the dropdownlist to display "Small" and "Medium" etc.
I guess my primary question is: How do I create a database with product size attributes?
I apologize if this thread should be in another forum, but if the dropdownlist can display two database rows I'll settle with that solution.

The dataset is being populated, however when the page renders, the data nor the gridview are visible. I have tried using both IE and Firefox, binding / not binding the columns, AutoGenerateColumns Y / N with no success. As I am new to all of this ( VS2008, ASP.NET, C# ) I can't help but to think I am overlooking something basic.

I have a set of dataset with different column retrieved from DB. I need to present the datasets in one GridView (or other ListView etc...) without specifying the column_header. It should present automaticly since the GridView is bind to the DataSet.
In additional, I want this GridView to handle multiple rows edit and update the dataset, idealy, show data in textboxs in initially.How could I set the GridView to edit_model without hardcode column_header and textboxs in 'itemtemplate' or filed.
How could I achieve the bulk edit and update, so that I can assign 'mydataview1.table' to the dataset.
I have a listview that is showing its result by using a linq query. The linq query goes like this.
