Then I bind it to a bulleted List:

but space will collapse to " ", I cant us nbsp 'cause it's a text filed. Pls help me with this :(, I want 4 spaces :(.

I tried in default way something like
initial value = "0" for required feild validator. But it is not working for me.

View 4 RepliesI am using 3 dropdown list in a gridview and the values for the dropdownlist is dynamic from database.based on first dropdown list selected value the values must fill to second dropdown and based on second dropdownlist selected value then items should load to 3rd dropdown and same for 4th dropdown list. Here if i select age,gender,sex, fist name, last name from the template name Human. The first drop down only populate the fields like Age,gender,Sex and so on., When the second dropdown list populate from the fields corresponding Template name Human, Finance, and so on.

I have data coming from two tables with a foreign key relationship - one User table containing users of the web application, and one Page table containing details about pages visited by each user.I would like to be able to view these data in a gridview or the like on a page. It's easy enough to just show the User table data like so (I'm using the Entity Framework and LINQ):

But how can I show the Page details? I'm not bent on any particular way of showing it, but the only idea I've been able to come up with is to have a dropdown list for each user in a column. But I can't figure out how to get the page data into such a dropdown list. I have a slight issue I awas trying to fix for 2-3 days, but nothing I try works.
The scenario:
DetailsView control in edit mode, I pass parameters to the SqlDataSourceProducts (edit.aspx?id=2) and the data source selects the appropriate data and fills in the DetailsView form.
Except two drop down lists. These two DDLs (DDL2 and DDL3) are dependent on the previous DDL (DDL1) in the DetailsView.
when the selected value of the DDL1 changes, DDL2 and 3 change their lists and get bound to the database.
The problem is: when I edit something from the database, DDL2 and 3 appear empty and when I update any other field and leave these, they get blanked in the database.
My goal is to set the selected value of DDL2 and 3 to the values in the database WHERE ID = QueryStringField="id".
I can go for not binding the data unless the field is changed, but does not sound professional and user friendly.

I've got a GridView populated via a SqlDataSource whose Select command is controlled by a DropDownList. This is all working nicely:
How do I support the "All" user choice:
In other words, when the user selects "All" there are no aircraft names that match that so nothing is returned. Instead, I'd like the select statement to skip the WHERE clause in this case and just show everything. Do I need to create a second page for this case or is there a way to programmatically alter the SELECT command or some other way to accomplish this?
I have a Gridview and two link button in that GridView , one link button click is to add edit row ( Edit ), one link button click is to select row ( Select ). I have a dropdownlist inside row which selected when i click link button Select in the gridview edit template, as of my business logic i need to show the dropdownlist only when the user clicks Edit button and when the user clicks Select button . That mean when the user clicks Select button then they clicks Edit button on the gridvview i should allow him to edit the dropdownlist (showing the value to the user through a label).
