I have 5 gridviews, all of of them have a Checkbox template field. I already did SUM of a specific column in the gridviews and displayed the Total in the gridview footers.
There is a submit button on the page as well.(this is not in a template column in the gridview)
what i do is select some rows in the gridviews by ticking the checkbox. Then I click on the submit button and the values change in the database and page refreshes with the new Total in the gridview footers. Any row that was ticked. the checkbox for that row in the gridview gets disabled. so cannot change the value again.
Now i want a way to show a popup with a SUM of those rows that are ticked recently and the SUM of already ticked and disabled rows before the values change for the ticked rows in the gridview when the submit button is clicked.
I need the yoy var %, bm % yoy bps, and opps generated to have a backcolor of gold. before it was a itemtemplate it was easy to change it in the codebehind but now that it is a itemtemplate it wont change anymore.

I have a gridview in which I have several editable fields. The user wants a non-editable field to be modified if another field is modified in the same row. e.g. if Age>=65, Status should ="Retired"
I am using the following demo: [URL]
to create a bulk edit gridview so some columns are automatically editable and others aren't, with a single update button. I can set Status="Retired" in the xml generated, or as a rule in database table. But I'd like the status field in the gridview to change when Age is modified and to be shown to user before they press the single Update button. I'm using update panels and ajax on the page also.

I have created a Gridview that has sorted columns. Using the HeaderStyle-CssClass ="GridViewHeader" The background = medium Blue and the Font Color = White. Looks cool, except for sorted columns. There the text is medium blue because it is a hyperlink. Is there any way to change the color for these hyperlinks?
We have a MS Access 2007 database that has a hyperlink column in one of the tables. I'm using Visual Studio 2008. I need to have the same column display in a gridview in ASP.net and have it function just like in access. In access, the user clicks the link and either the file or the wepage opens just fine. In the gridview in asp.net, if we click on the link it does "nothing". The links are to files on our network and to files on other people's websites and the paths are tested and work properly. The name of the column that holds the hyperlink is named MSDSLinke. Here is the code I am using:

My problem is that there may or may not be a corresponding file and if there isn't a file then a browser window opens up and the contents of the folder are displayed. This folder will be maintenanced from day to day adding and removing files. coding something that will either disable the hyperlink were there is no corresponding data or just pop up a message that there is no corresponding data to view.
