Mar 29, 2011I have a gridview that I am populating with data for the folks in accounting and they want me to format currency values so that they display without $'s, with commas separating digits and with negative numbers surrounded by ( )
e.g.:
12345.67 = 12,345.67
-12345.67 = (12,345.67)
I have found lots of examples around the interwebs that get me close but there is either no ( ) around negatives or there is a $ included.

Mar 11, 2010I was hoping this is simple but i have problems.
Basically i was only able to set the string color with itemstyle-Forecolor.
But how do i set the background of a column and also set height,width.Ok height may not work because i have an itemtemplate with predefined height.
Can this be done in a simple boundfield or must i have all my datafields in itemtemplates?

Mar 7, 2013In my asp.net+vb we+access DB. i have a field named DOB which is date of birth. i displays the data in grid view whose DOB+90 is less than ot equl to current date
DOB+90<=now()
and it works currect. but when i try to used vb code to change the row colour as per data it works for this one.

Jun 9, 2010i have an datatable called orders. One of the columns is "OrderAmount" In the aspx, page I have a datalist and am using the {0:c} in the item template but it is not showing the £ symbol or the amount in correct number format.
In my datatable I am not sure if I need to use Int or Float.
the amount I want to enter is £21,316.56. I have tried entering 2131651 but it does not display correctly in data list.
