how can i compare my status against True or False in my if condition.
I have an asp:label field for and expire date that should either display "Never" if the database field ([msDS-UserDontExpirePassword] this is a bit - true/false - field) is True, or otherwise display a date (pwdExpireDate).
My code doesn't throw any errors but I can' fully test it without putting it into production. Can someone tell me if this is correct? Also, there is no code-behind and I can't use code behind for this.

I've got a checkbox where the column is a Yes/No string and I need to convert this to a True/False in both directions. The database exists already and I can't change it or I would just change it to a bit column.

Well what i am doing there is using the values from the items that the DataList has obtained from the rows, now, what i need to do is EXACTLY the same, but for the FormView, i realised that this code does not work for the FormView, but only DataList control.

I've got a repeater bound to a datasource through the code behind. Everything is working fine so far except for this, I'm trying to concactenate a bound field as the id on a query string to an image handler:

I use a ItemDataBound for a repeater.But i use 2 kinds of linq querys to bind it.Some of them has a MerkID, and some doesnt have this item.So its easy i need to do this:

So of course the if selection doesnt work, but how can i do that? I already tryed this:

But that doenst work because he cant convert it to a datarowview because its a linq class.So what to do? Right now i use a try and catch, but there are better solutions i guess...

The biggest issue was that it didn't say where the error was.. Digging deeper (taking the code appart one block a time) the error was being triggered by the followin itemdatabound event. i am developing an application using ASP.NET with C#.net. in my application i have a gridview contains 3 fields.
1.description
2.unitprice
3.Regions
these three are template fields and last field i.e Regions is set to visible false.

when the grid is binded,i am not displaying the regions field as that is set to visible false.
when i click the edit button i.e in RowEditing event of grid i have to show the Region field.
for that i had wrriten the code as
