I have a datagrid control, the first column is Revno, currently presenting info in linkbutton. i want to do a condition based on another field docid, which gets true or false value from database. if true then present Revno in linkbutton otherwise show the revbnno just as a label., thatway users does'nt have ability to clickit.

Hi I have a situation where I want to set the initial visible property of an Image to False and then in my code change it to True and then run a sub routine. My problem is that no matter how I order the code the sub runs before the image becomes visible. When I debug the image only becomes visible when it hits End Sub. Is there any way around this? i am using password recovery control. but i have one difficulty that when user click on the "Forgot Password" link he will redirect to enter "UserName" view of password recovery template. and when user enter "User Name" and click submit button he will redirect to the "Question" view of the Password recovery control and then user click on the "Cancel" button. but when user again click on the "Forgot Password" link the "Question" view is displayed instead of the "UserName" view. i m not able to reset Password control to "UserName" view.

Example: in the database for a news story in the administration I may set the column value 'showonsite' to false. So I would like this to show in the administration panel only and not on the live site.
My question is, because I require the same information just with the only one column change, live site to only show true values and administration to show both. What is the most effective way of achieving this without copy paste of code?

My plain texts are image links and pdf URLs from a database table, in groups, in the correct order but I'm not sure how to render them correctly (sample image below shows what I am trying to render)
Is there any way to make a repeater template intelligent enough to render an "image link" OR "pdf link" based off the [type] column returned in the record?

I have an asp:label field for and expire date that should either display "Never" if the database field ([msDS-UserDontExpirePassword] this is a bit - true/false - field) is True, or otherwise display a date (pwdExpireDate).
My code doesn't throw any errors but I can' fully test it without putting it into production. Can someone tell me if this is correct? Also, there is no code-behind and I can't use code behind for this.

Gridview is bound to a table. If a row in table has price greater than zero then the above mentioned Imagebutton should br visible in that row only.

I'm new to ASP so this may seem so simple but I cannot work it out.
I am trying to create a script that changes its output based on a range of values. Here is what I mean:
I have a MSSQL database with an ASP scripted website that reads it and displays the data in a table. One of the columns in the database is a percentage and I want that column in the web page to have a background colour based on the figure outputted.
So each cell may be a different colour. If the number is between 0 and 30 then red background, 31 to 70 orange etc.
At the moment I have the database output script looking like this:

I have a gridview that serves as a confirmation for user input in a previous form from a previous page. The grid is databound to a temporary table where I store the user's initial selections. The user can confirm what they had submitted, (which may be more than one row of information, up to three classes) or go back and change. When they hit the confirm button, I loop through the gridview and enter a row in a permanent database for each row in the gridview. This works great.
However, I don't want the gridview to display all of the columns that are actually in the temp database, because I'm carrying over 'usersubmitted, datesubmitted', etc, from the previous page for each class selected and this is redundant. (I do need to use all of the columns when they submit, however, to make a new row with complete information for each selected class in the permanent database) So, when I set the usersubmitted column visible false, for example, in the gridview, the dataset table adapter insert function fails with a data type mismatch error. I'm assuming becuase the column has to be visible, becuase when I make it visible again it works.
Can you loop through a gridview and call on cells in columns that are not visible?
