Forms Data Controls :: How To Retrieve All Records From GridView And Assign To DataSet

I dont know why my GridView.DataSource is become nothing when the Page.IsPostBack = true.What i did is bind the dataset to the GridView.DataSource when page load. Then when the button click event is trigger i need to get all the records from GridView. But when i debug and check i found that the GridView.DataSource is become nothing. how should i get all records from the GridView and assign to dataset. I'm using VB.net to work on.
I am trying to retrieve Detailsview records filtered by dropdownlist which is populated within Detailsview template.
not sure if this is possible but,
i have three cascading dropdownlists within the detailsview and want to set the third dropdownlist value and dependant dropdownlist values according to retrieved record.
at moment they cascade values independant of what record set is retrieved in detailsview and obtain there parameter from selected dropdownlist in pagebehind.
below is select statement bound to Detailsview and itemtemplate for third Dropdownlist control
Formview with some Accordion block. In the block there are some complex structure, displayed with GridView. (but the GriewView is generated dynamically by input ) For the GridView has some rows, I converted it into a string and stored it in a "Column" (or said "field") of a record.
But when i doing search. I cannot bind the gridview to the "column". because string has to be converted manually into dataset to be accepted by gridview.
I just hope to do the coverting in the "Selected" event and databind the gridview with the data converted.

Is there any method by which we can retrieve random data from a dataset or rather directly from a table.

RemoteLoader: I using this to load ServicedCOM to RemotingServer.

and my results: I can access and retrieve data with function is called SpeakHello (test function), but I cannot do the same thing to get sectors using this model, I think I'm doing something wrong. and here's my code snippet:

I have a Gridview with ID "GVSeasonsOfResort" which has selectable rows.
One of the fields in that gridview is RSLinkID which is an ID field of the table from which ths SQLDataSource driving the gridview gets its data.
I have a textbox outside the gridview with ID TxtBxRSLinkID and when I select a row of the Gridview, I want to assign the value of the RSLinkID field of the selected row to the TxtBxRSLinkID.

I have a paramater Country Which have options to select 10 different countries.. i am using 10 tablix one for each country .... When i select a country , only one tablix Gets visible and the other 9 tablix gets invisible.. The problem is that all the invisible tablix are calling sp that is dataset ... i am working on a website,As i am new to coding i got a problem in it. It was,I hav a gridview in which i am adding the details about a college, and in that i had a buton ("btnReservation") on clicking it another grid will be appeared in which, i hav to enter the reservation details so, till this step it is working fine, but if i enter one college details and clicking on the btnReservetion the grid is being dispalyed and i am able to enter and save the data, But if i enter the details of another college and clicking on the btnReservation, the rows which i hav already entered in the Reservation grid for the previous record are not being Refreshed and are remaining the same,So now i hav to make the gridview datasource null.
I am looking to retrieve data from a database and assign those values to class objects which in turn will be turned into session variables. I am using an object datasource to retrieve the data from the database but I cannot find anywhere that shows how to assign these values to variables. The data is returned in a dataset. There is the added problem that there will be mulitple items returned which will have to be assigned to different arraylists of objects based on the a primary key in the database.

If the gridview binds to empty dataset, I need to still show a gridview so that users can ADD more using the textfields in the bottom of the footer template. Since the gridview is empty it won't bind not allowing rendering of the <footer template> I guess I should create a empty dataset if the gridview is empty. How do I check for this and can this be done in GridviewRowEventArgs
I have a gridview in a page, and some Texboxes along with a button(for issuing a command) in the same page. The TextBoxs were inputted values and the values could be assigned to the selected row of the gridview, some fields are the same values along the rows, and the values are inputted in the TextBoxes for using several times without change.
Well, I need to know: how can I assign the values of the TextBoxes to the selected row of the gridview. in another words, how can I access the cell members of the gridview when it is in edit mode? (Q1)
If the row is not selected, I have no way to know which row should be assigned values, since there is no such things like "current row".
So, if the selecting button(or link) of the gridview is not selected, the button along with the TextBoxes should keep disabled, until a row's "Edit" button is clicked. (Q2: How can I find if the Edit button is clicked? I guess I can use the property "mode" of the gridview to indicate the situation. )
And the last question is (Q3), how can I ensure the values are updated to the database? Maybe I dont need to do more things than just click the uppdate button of the row of the gridview.
I have a set of dataset with different column retrieved from DB. I need to present the datasets in one GridView (or other ListView etc...) without specifying the column_header. It should present automaticly since the GridView is bind to the DataSet.
In additional, I want this GridView to handle multiple rows edit and update the dataset, idealy, show data in textboxs in initially.How could I set the GridView to edit_model without hardcode column_header and textboxs in 'itemtemplate' or filed.
How could I achieve the bulk edit and update, so that I can assign 'mydataview1.table' to the dataset.
