I have a Data Bound DropDownList and a Panel in a step of the CreateUserWizard. I would like to make the panel visible based on the selected value of the DropDownList.

seems to run without any error, but updatepanel2 is not visible on the page. Is there anyway to make it work.
I have a dropdownlist1 control in footer template, but when i go to edit command for editing an existing row. at that time. the footer dropdownlist box showing exact index which is selected in edit template dropdownlist box.

GridViewDetails uses templatefields. In edittemplate I put a button called "ButtonUpdateAdjustAmount" with OnClick="Update_AdjustAmount" in the EditItemTemplate for the "Amt to be Adj" column. There is also a textbox. My user's should be able to edit the textbox, but I also want the ability to click the button and the textbox populated with the correct calculated value. The formula varies based on the "code" column which is a dropdownlist called "DropListCode".
I am fairly new to asp.net, vb, etc...so forgive my code writing. Eventually I need to also put the same functionality on the insertrow for my gridview. But first wanted to get the edit one working. I am using templatefields for all columns and the FooterTemplate to perform the Insert New Detail Line.
I can get the functionality to work for the first data row and only if I take out the If code.SelectedValue = ... line and leave 1 static formula. However that isn't going to work. If DropListCode.SelectedValue is DNR then AdjAmt should be ((q_ordered - q_received) * cost). If DropListCode. SelectedValue is OV then AdjAmt should be (RKNumber * cost). If DropListCode.SelectedValue is NB the AdjAmt should be ((q_received - q_ordered) * cost). If DropListCode.SelectedValue is DAM then AdjAmt should be (RKNumber * cost)

I have one dropdown list and two textbox. I am developing a small application for my par tics in which currency name populate from the data base which are in drop down it will working now.
Now I want when I select currency name from dropdown list the code the and the country name show in the other textbox value .for example when I select Currency name like UK pound the value show .one show currency code 2 and other country name United state. All text box value change on changing vale in droupdownlist dynamically means all value dependent on the dropdown list .

The event fires, the event handler is executed, but the lable doesn't become visible. If I place the button outside of the tab container, it works.

If I check one of the two data bound radio buttons, the DDL should repopulate with a different set of results. This works just fine EXCEPT .... the DDL cannot be databound. If I set SELECTEDVALUE of the control to a bind I get this error:Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control.I have followed the advice on this page from various users, all to no avail....surely this can be done, and I assume quite simply. I have a web page that I have a media control player on along with other controls in a table.It's a training video, so the controls are not visible.So the user can advance to the next web page,I thought I would have a button control inside an update panel with a time control so that the user had to watch the video and then the button control would appear after the video completed.I'm setting the button update panel to NOT visible and then turning it one when the time control elapses the same amount of time that the video runs.My problem is that when I set the visible property of the update panel to NOT visible it also makes the media player's panel NOT visible too.They are in two different panels.The medial player in a standard panel and the timer control connected witha separate panel that contains the button for the user to proceed. When I set the visible property to "true" the media player runs but the update panel with the button is visible also.

I am having a problem with disabling DropDownList based on the chice of 1st DropDownList, there is no post back occuring, and it is a template based web app here is the current code:

I have a Gridview with some template columns. Inside one of the columns, I have a ImageButton with a serverSide OnClick handler to show or hide a panel. And all the panels by default are hidden. What happens is that when I click the imageButton the first time the panel gets displayed, but if I click the same button, on the same row again, - where the panel is now visible - the panel doesn't hide itself. Here's what happens when the imageButton is clicked:

I have a panel and am loading a user control into it. I am trying to set its Visible property to true. But when I say controlFoo.Visible = true, it is not becoming visible. When I add a watch to controlFoo.Visible, it shows False.I have already made sure that its parent control's visbility is set to true. My code is as follows:

The "e.NewMode" is underlined blue in color and it is stated "NewMode is not a member of System.EvntArgs".
