I have 2 updatepanel UpdatePanel1 and UpdatePanel2. Intialy updatepanel2 is invisible. In updatepanel1 there is a dropdown list, whose Selected Index Method change makes UpdatePanel2 visible.The code
UpdatePanel2.visible =true;
seems to run without any error, but updatepanel2 is not visible on the page. Is there anyway to make it work.
I have a web page that I have a media control player on along with other controls in a table.It's a training video, so the controls are not visible.So the user can advance to the next web page,I thought I would have a button control inside an update panel with a time control so that the user had to watch the video and then the button control would appear after the video completed.I'm setting the button update panel to NOT visible and then turning it one when the time control elapses the same amount of time that the video runs.My problem is that when I set the visible property of the update panel to NOT visible it also makes the media player's panel NOT visible too.They are in two different panels.The medial player in a standard panel and the timer control connected witha separate panel that contains the button for the user to proceed. When I set the visible property to "true" the media player runs but the update panel with the button is visible also.

This is the code for the update panel and continue button that is in a separate table cell.I even split the table and so this is in a completely separate table but I still get the same behavior.

Is it possible to make a web form scroll itself down (or up) to a label, for example an error label, when it becomes visible? If yes - what's the method called?
protected void FormView1_ItemInserted(object sender, FormViewInsertedEventArgs e) { // Here I want to make a label "Saved" visible after user inserts the record into the formview. // the label is in InsertItemTemplate of the formview next to Insert and Cancel Links. It is invisible by default. // Is this the right event that i am in to do something like this.. if there is any other way to do this, }
I have a text box and some validation on it. I want to make a panel visible only when
it is successfully validated,i.e.,textbox entry is valid.Also,I want to capture the entered valid value(it should be integer within 1-8) in a session,based on this number,I am going to add that many rows in an editable grid view.

I'd like to be able to have the .NET AJAX CalendarExtender show on Load without having to click in a TextBox. If I can simulate a TextBox being clicked so the CalendarExtender will show I'll take that too.
Getting familiar with ajax tabs...watched Joe's video. Am building simple wizard with first tab visible, others invisible until "next" is clicked. I know I need an onclientclick event but am very elementary with Javascript and .Net doesn't prompt javascript.
Using a modalpopupextender a panel having controls is poped-up as a modalpopup. The problem I am facing is how to make the Ajax Calendar always visible on the modalpopup.
Functionality of controls on modal popup:
1. A calendar (use of Calendarextendar preferred) and a ListBox placed side by side.
2. calendar's behavior need to be exactly the same as that acheived using a Ajax Calendarextendar
3. The Calendar is always visible.
4. The days selected by user are appended to the ListBox (with no repeatition)
I have added a Ajax tab control into my page and first tab includes the data entry part to a table and second tab is update the data in a table (Database).
The problem is in first time when I click submit button without filling any details it shows the error messages (I set required fied validators) but next time it didn't show the error message but it not submit the page. So I understood that the validation controls are worked but it doesn't show the error message. Is there any solution?
When popping up a client side message box, the panel that is tied to my AJAX ModalPopupExtender via PopupControlID, shows on the screen until the message is cleared.
I have an update panel which has 2 set of controls each in their own separate panels. We can select either panel by a checkbox list and they become visible. Now I am trying to set a value by javascript in the panel that becomes visible on my checkbox click but the problem is that I cant access the controls through javascript as they are not rendered on page as visibility is false.
I cant find the controls inside the page source even though they are visible on page so javascript cannot access them. Is there any way other than doing a postback and setting them visible to access them via javascript?
I have a GridView control inside one Update Panel and a detail section inside another Update Panel. Initially, the detail section is hidden and when a GridView row is selected, the Detail panel becomes visible. Everything works fine except that if the GridView contains more rows and covers most of the user's screen, screen doesn't shits to the start of Detail section.I can use anchor but was just wondering if there is any other way of achieving this. Also the Detail section has multiple nested Update Panels and if I use anchor, then any of the child Update Panel's update will move the screen to the beginning of the detail Section.
I have an asyncfileupload control within a panel control. The panel is initially set to visible=false on page load. After a user clicks a button to display the panel contents however, I set the panel to visible and the user can then use the asyncfileupload. The problem however, is it seems much of the javascript associated with the asyncfileupload, does not function properly when the panel containing the upload control is set from invisible to visible. If I set my panel's "visible" property to "true" initially, then it works fine. My javascript error message is as follows:
"Form contains a file input, but is missing method=POST and enctype=multipart/form-data on the form. The file will not be sent."
Basically within my asyncfileupload control, I have the following line:
[Code]....
In this scenario, my "args" variable is always null (when I set my pane's "visible" property to "true" on page load, the args variable DOES contain data. Any idea why switching a panel from visible=false to visible=true, would cause an error like this?
I have displayed 50% of text on label control..then i have given a dynamic link to Read More.
when i clicks on Read More it passes query string of id of that content to same page which shows full content.
Now, what I want is when I clicks on Read More link the page postback then loads the full content. So, is there any way to avoid postback using update Panel for any links generated dynamically on Label control.....?
