Forms Data Controls :: Pager Does Not Show On Prod Server While Working OK Locally
May 20, 2010
I setup paging in GridView and it works oK in VS2005 locally but does not show when I move the page to prod server. I use masterpage, so GridView in in the Content placeholder...
I have a user control with a listview and a pager. The pager doesn't seem to page, it just reloads the same page. I have 4 dropdowns on the page that a user select from, they then click a button to fill the listview with data. I use a method in a class to pull the data like so
if (!IsPostBack) { if (Request.QueryString["ID"] != null) { if (Request.QueryString["ListType"] == "Store") { this.GetCustomersPageWiseStore(1); DataList1.Visible=false;
[Code] ....
Now Problem:
Here when I click on menubar (that I used repeater for showing Item from database)
It bind datalist1 with pagination I mean it bind datalist1 and show pages.
but when I click on Imgstore Button (this button does DDLstore.Visible = true; DataList1.Visible = false; )
It bind ddlstore and show data but it doesn't show pagination for this datalist I mean it doesn't show rptpager2
im tryin to create repeater from code behaind using C#. The data bind is working good, im tryin to put some pager. the pager is half working. i can see the pager links at the bottom, i can see the the code split the records to 10 lines each page as i set it but when i click the next link the records stay the same it wont changing for the next 10 records. my code
I have following code and Javascript in my aspx page and my aspx page has a master page:-
<asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="Server"> <script language = "javascript" type = "text/javascript"> function GenerateNew() { var tblRow = document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_tblRow"); var tr = document.createElement("tr"); var td = document.createElement("td"); var txt = document.createElement("input"); var theValue = document.getElementById("theValue"); theValue.value = parseInt(theValue.value) + 1; i = theValue.value; tr.setAttribute("id", "tr" + i); td.appendChild(txt); tr.appendChild(td); tblRow.appendChild(tr); } function RemoveRow() { var tblRow = document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_tblRow"); var Val = document.getElementById("theValue"); for (var i = 1; i <= Val.value; i++) { var RowToBeDeleted = document.getElementById('tr' + i); if (RowToBeDeleted != null) { tblRow.removeChild(RowToBeDeleted); } } } </script> <asp:Table ID="tblRow" runat="server"> <asp:TableRow> <asp:TableCell> </asp:TableCell> </asp:TableRow> </asp:Table> <input type = "hidden" id = "theValue" value = "0" /> <input id="Button2" type="button" value="Insert Record From JS" onclick = "GenerateNew()" /> <input id="Button3" type="button" value="Remove From JS" onclick = "RemoveRow()" /> </asp:Content>
This JS code generates a dynamic textbox and adds it to the existing table <asp:Table>. It works perfectly when I run it locally, however it doesn't work when I put it on the server.
This issue is only with IE, other browsers like Firefox and Chrome works perfectly fine locally and at server but IE works only locally not at the server. I am using IE 8 (OR 8.0.6001.18702 to be precise) and IIS 5.1.
We recently migrated a web app from one Prod server (Prod 1) to another server (Prod 2). There is a session varialbe checked inside the page load event of the default master page. I have enabled session state both in web.config as well inside the pagedirective. The compilation went through without any issue. The web app is also running just fine on the server but the log file keeps logging a warning message. There is no run time error.
"System.Web.HttpException: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the <configuration><system.web><httpModules> section in the application configuration."Any idea why this is happening on one server vs other?
i am using datadrid and i want to display it in vertically but it is continiously showing in horizontally style. i have made changes in view , property but still not working.
Kindly let me know why my appln redirects me to Session TimeOut page on a simple postback. This doesnot happen on my local pc but happens only on prod. Here is the code I m using on my PageBase.cs 's Init method
I have built a custom Ajax User Control which uses the AsyncFileUpload control released with the latest Ajax Toolkit.
On my local machine the application works fine without error, however if I deploy the app onto my web server the functionality breaks.
I am trying to add a file via the AsyncFileUpload control, save it to the web server, then save some details into a datatable which is displayed in a gridview. All of this sits in an update panel.
When uploading small files (under 55kbs) the process works fine, however when uploading larger files, it doesn't like it. The control uploads the file successfully to it (the client error is not triggered), but it breaks when I try to save it to the web server. Upon saving, the document saves OK, but all the data is stripped away. It just saves the filename with no content. It looks like the AsyncFileUpload control has lost the File in session, therefore cannot save it. However the AsysncFileUpload.filename still exists and AsyncFileUpload.HasFile is returning true.
Has anyone seen anything like this before or have any ideas why this could be happening? I have set the web config httpRuntime maxRequestLength = 20480, so it shouldnt be that.
I have an issue with my pager row. I have implemented a simple procedure to create subheadings for my gridview. I found an example on how to do this and it works great, except for the pager is in one cell on the gridview. I was wondering if anybody would know of a way to exclude the pager row from being a part of the following procedure.
I am currently struggeling to make an Alphabetical pager. I have used the following code to create the pager:
[Code]....
My probrolem is to databind it. I want the pager to show all the letters at all time, but only make them to links if a word in the database starts with that letter. (Ex. got Apple and cucumber and mydatabase, only "A" and "C" become links and the rest letters fades in or some thing) I need the the code to be in a methid of its own. just dont know where to start.
How do I add a LinkButton to a GridView pager? The only way I can think of implementing this is to dynamically add the numeric pages in the code behind and add the LinkButton I require in the PagerTemplate. owever in the example illustrated when a user clicks a numeric Page number the numbers disappear and nothing fires. My GridView is in an UpdatePanel.
I'm trying to style my GridView's pager in such a fashion that when someone clicks on a button in that page, the page's button in the pager will turn yellow, or something.
how can I access the pager's buttons, and style each of them as I wish?
I have a GridView with custom pager template. I use SqlDataSource with a dynamically generated select query.
To make application faster, I want to select not all records, but as many as fit in a GridView page. But in this case, the pager section doesn't show up. Could anybody suggest how I can fix that? Some people say I should do my own pager template, but I don't know neither how to make it, nor how to use it.
I want to make an internal rollbar into gridivew so the header and pager bar be fixed. I know some Css solutions but I want more solutions also if there is a good css solution that work with IE7,8 It's good also.
i am using asp:pager to do paging for datalist... i have successfully implemented it but the problem is that he is showing all the page nos at one time instead of that i want to show 10 pages at a time then user goes on the last page then next 10 pages should show...
I have spent a long time to find a decent solution, but without success. I have a ListView where I want to make an alphabetical pager that can handle the letters from A-Z + ÆØÅ to be at the end of the pager after the letter Z. If the first letter of a word found in the database, it must come in the pager as a link. The letters of a word that is not in the database must appear in the pager without a link.
I don't know if its possible in ASP.NET (I'm assuming it is) but I've seen other websites where they have pager settings of grids that are actually linked to the first letter or first couple of letters of a certain field within the gridview. So.. if you have 1000 names... instead of guessing which page the name you're looking for is on, you would just click on "Sa" which would take you automatically to the page that "Sanders" was on. Can anybody tell me how to do that?
I am trying pull a table from a sql datasource which is very wide. And therefore, I want the pager element (i.e Prev and Next) links to be left aligned. But when I try to add the "align attribute, it says not permissible attribute for pager.
Is it even possible to do that or do I have to stick with centered pager?
I implemented the class from this link below: http://gonzalo.name/blog/and when I click on the next button image in the pager row, it does not go to the next page, same thing happens when I change a number in the text box, it does not respond. I stepped through the debugger and it does go to the onNextClicked event but does not do any thing. I have a custom grid control and the only thing different then the instruction is rather than using the page_int event I am using the gridview1_init event for this linegridview1.pagertemplate = new fancypagertemplate)gv);I was just wondering if some one has successfully used this code before? Or what other steps could I take to debug this issue?
