Forms Data Controls :: Update Footer Template On Date Change?
Nov 29, 2010
I have 3 buttons that change the Information being displayed in my Gridview (Previous, Today, Forward). Now management wants to SUM the Date's information by column, I have figured out how to do this by changing the BoundField to a TemplateField and then add a FooterTemplate with a SQL DataSource. When I Press either the Previous or Forward button the data does not change in my Sum'd Footer column.
[URL] im using above tutioral i have changed little bit first in Header1 i have dropdownlist on selecting that it cause postback then it bind some value from database to Header2 itemtemplate and Header3 itemtemplate label. on clicking add new row then it create new row if user selct again then it bind the values in two label what i need here is i need foter total for both Headerr2 and Header3 itemtemplate on footer template label.
I have one grid which have 5 columns 1 for subject,2,3,4 for marks which have textbox to insert obtained marks,and last column have one lable to display total of (2+3+4),now i want total value on textbox event,when user enter any value to any column of textbox i need to display total of all three columns in total column. that things i did using javascript now i have one grand total text box in footer template according to sum of total i need to display grand total.so how can i get that footer template textbox in rowtype of DataControlRowType.DataRow.JAVASCRIPT :
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> function sum(m1, m2, m3, txtTotal,txtFTotal) { var mark1 = document.getElementById(m1).value;
I having problem to show footer template at data grid when there is an empty data. I need to show the footer template in order to let user input new record.
I have two textBox, one button and one gridview. In one texbox, I enter a value, click the button to add this entry to the gridview and the footer is computing the sum as i add more entries to the gridview.
I also have a textbox outside the gridview that will hold an amount, now I want to perform an operation like...(txtOutsideGridview - gridviewEntry1 - gridviewEntry2), and display the result of this operation inside the footer of the gridview, instead of the sum. How do I go about doing this?
So far all I have been able to do is sum up the total of entries within the Gridview, but that is not my desired operation...here is what my current code looks like
i have a repeater with a button in the footer template which i want to be able to update any of the items that are added (update quantites/totals/delete the item).
however the 'UpdateOrderDetails' event never fires when the button is clicked.
I have an item template field retrieving a date field from an Oracle 11g database that can be null. The date is converted to a string before binding to the gridview. When the column is sorted is is being sorted as a string. I have read in several places if you add a formatting string to the eval statement in the item template that the sort operation will then sort the string as a date. However, I cannot get it to work. I also tried a bound column, but the column is still being sorted as a string.Code from the aspx page:
I need to change the image in my hyperlink template column (2) for each row, based on a column 3 text value.So if column 3 has a text of 0 the hyperlink image of template column 2 should be noedit16.png for that row else it should be edit16.png.Here is what I have:
How could I change (programmatically) a couple of properties in a grdiview template ? For instance, the CalendarExtender6.enabled and the textbox, Duetext.readonly.
I am using FindControl to get a hyperlink but it only works on the first page. It works fine until I click on another page number in the pager. Then the hyperlink is nothing. This is the hyperlink.
i have a detailsview with a dropdownlist. i would like to be able to select a value from this dropdownlist and depending on the selectedvalue display a specific control/header in another column.
<asp:FormView DefaultMode="Edit" ID="FormView1" runat="server" onitemupdating="FormView1_ItemUpdating"> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="txtPrimerNombreNatural" runat="server" SkinID="texto" MaxLength="30" Text='<%#Bind("PrimerNombre") %>'></asp:TextBox> <asp:TextBox ID="txtSegundoNombreNatural" runat="server" SkinID="texto" MaxLength="30" Text='<%#Bind("SegundoNombre") %>'></asp:TextBox> </EditItemTemplate> </asp:FormView> <asp:Button ID="Actualizar" runat="server" Text="Button" CommandName="Update" /> This formview is bound in this way: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Persona _persona = new Persona(); _persona.ObternerPersonaByUserIdApp(1); List<SILPA.AccesoDatos.Generico.PersonaIdentity> persona = new List<SILPA.AccesoDatos.Generico.PersonaIdentity>(); persona.Add(_persona.Identity); FormView1.DataSource = persona; FormView1.DataBind(); }
When the page is shown, the textbox are filled correctly, this textbox are filled with the "primernombre" and "segundonombre" properties from the persona class. After this, If I change the textbox, and after click the update button, I need to update the persona class with the changes from the textboxes, then I call a ActualizarPersona method for updating the database. How can I do for update the persona class when I change the textboxes and click the update button? I try this method protected void FormView1_ItemUpdating(object sender, FormViewUpdateEventArgs e) { }
i want to disable update button in grid if the value of textbox+ sum of the footer of the column is greater > 100how can i do this?at least validation control inside gridview row when inserting inside the text box ..or using javascript alert to notify user that the sum is more than 100 and it can t be updated
I have a gridview where I am using the update. I have converted the label into a templatefield and added a dropdownlist which is getting polulated in the Rowdatabound event. When I test the update i get an error
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'StartTime', table 'HTC.dbo.EventDates'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails.The statement has been terminated. so I am ussuming its still trying to update from the label rather than using the dropdownlist. here is my code:
