i have this on my gridview RowDataBound method. and my grid view has BoundFields which i use to display data, it is always on insert mode. i wand and edit mode. i want the bound textbox fields to change colour on onmouseover and on select to match the entire row colour background as i have specify on d code below. how do i do that? i knw how to change everything bt dnt knw how to oldy change the selected row and changing it only on onmouseover n select. the only thing i wanna change is d controls backcolour

How to read values of asp: table in grid view after binding.
I want to get values one by one in label in for loop and read values of table row one by one.Â
Like if i put check box in gridview and the row which is selected , i want to read value that asp:table in gridview.

I am having gridview and i have check box for each row. There are 2 buttons ,accept and reject outside the gridview. If I click accept button, all the checked rows fields value should change to accept and if i click reject button all the checked rows column value should change to reject. There are 3 columns only one column will change.

How to change the values in gridview on text change of templated control without databind again?the value of templated text boxes should change If i change the value of one of the templated textbox then accordingly(By mathematical calculations) the vlaues of all tempated textboxes should also change.

I have a gridview in which I have several editable fields. The user wants a non-editable field to be modified if another field is modified in the same row. e.g. if Age>=65, Status should ="Retired"

to create a bulk edit gridview so some columns are automatically editable and others aren't, with a single update button. I can set Status="Retired" in the xml generated, or as a rule in database table. But I'd like the status field in the gridview to change when Age is modified and to be shown to user before they press the single Update button. I'm using update panels and ajax on the page also.
It sounds pretty simple, but I can't find a way to make it work. I have a FormView with a InsertTemplate where it inserts the current logged in user's UserId and content from a HTMLeditor, and a EditTemplate where it retreives the current logged in UserId and shows content from database in the HTMLeditor.
How can I get it to show EditTemplate if the userId exist in the table, and InsertTemplate if the UserId does not exist in the table?
You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I'm coming at this from a front-end perspective, and don't really know how to deal with data views in ASP.NET.
Basically, I'm trying to change the layout of some repeated data from a straight table, to something more design-heavy. It's the same data, just re-organised slightly. The current ASP.NET code looks like this:

However, I want to replace all of this, such that each 'row' of data renders like this:
[Code]....
How is this done? Can I just edit the code above, or would I need to do something more advanced in terms of not using a data grid and using some other control instead? Is it something that can be done in just a .aspx file or would it need to be done in C# and compiled?
I'm needing to get the selected rows, based on checkboxes, to insert into a different table than that that the gridview is formed from. I've created an innerjoin datasource to try and solve this but, still having problems finding something that works. I also need it to insert based upon a button click not inside the gridview as I believe otherwise would only hamper the situation more.
