Is there any way to stop Gridview to turn back to first row when user click edit link button. Say there are 50 rows in gridview, user scrolled down to 45th row then click edit button. Gridview shifted to editmode but user need to roll down back again to reach the row 45th.

Can I save a page position in browser after clicking button or some other actions (after PostBack)
I need it on Page Change event in my DBGrid like on msdn.microsoft.com - when I change Tab C# -> C++ for example it doesn't refresh whole page and I still being on same position in browser.
I created a grid and successfully done update, delete, filled functionality.
But whenever I m clicking on Gridview row, its hieght get increased and color of the row become red while clicking on edit button. But this problem is occuring in Mozilla,IE7 not in IE6. Project is running good in IE6. What could be the solution for this.

I followed the above tutorial creating 2 WebPartZones, and 2 web server controls onto the WebPartZones.There is an arrow icon in the top-right corner of the web server control on each WebPartsZone. Clicking on the arrow revealed 2 links: Minimize and Close.I clicked the Close link of the Web server control, a UserControl, on the second WebPartZone. The WebPartZone2 and User Control then were removed from the web page. When I opened the web site gain later, I still can not see the User Control and WebPartZone2.How can I restore the WebPartZone2 and User Control?

I have a gridview. The fields are displayed in table in itemtemplate. Each row has a unique id called UserId.There is a linkbutton for Editing in each row.
When the Edit linkbutton is clicked, I need to get the details in that row to another page. Is this done using querystring.
My Gridview is refreshing its datasource when the edit button is clicked. How can I prevent this from happening? This isn't much of a problem when there aren't a lot of records, but when there are many it takes awhile. The data is already loaded so the edit button shouldn't need to reload the data. The edit button is a template edit button, and I'm using an SQL Datasource that connects to an Oracle database. The SQL datasource uses a control parameter that points to a dropdownlist.

View 1 RepliesI have a gridview that I have bound to a sqldatasource. However I have the gridview changing data shown per a drop down list and textbox so I can choose how I am searching.
My code includes changing the select command of the data source and rebinding the gridview.
My issue is that if I implement the edit button and click edit the grid view seems to resort back to the original select command that was entered when I created the datasource.
Is there any way to get the gridview to do what I want it to?
I have a GridView inside a Multiview. If user clicks the select linkbutton, the link open in another tab (external website). It works fine. However, in the original page the gridview just shifts to bottom of the page. I don't know what is causing this to happen. I have other button on the grid which opens the DetailsView in another page, but that works fine. Why grid moves to bottom?
View 2 RepliesI have a gridview with edit button. I want to set focus on a textbox in a row when clicking "Edit" button. (it is a label before clicking edit, it become a textbox after clicking edit). However, i can't set it focus in Rowdatabound. By the way, I make a simple .aspx page and just put a textbox on the tabcontainer tab panel. I found that i totally cannot set focus on this text box.

I am trying to create a basic gridview which has the basic edit and delete capabilities on a webpage using the MVC framework.I have bound the gridview to a LINQ Data source and I can retrieve all my records with no problem. However, when I click on the EDIT link, nothing happens at all. I was thinking of showing dropdown lists for each column-to-row so that the user can select the values for each record. Then the table will be updated accordingly (no update link).
Is this possible or do I still need the edit template and specify the item template with the dropdown list?
