Feb 17, 2010How do you save a radio button selection to a DB (within the .aspx page)? I have 5 sets of "yes/no" radio buttons (1 for yes/ 1 for no). Do I just add each radio button as a field into the DB and if its not selected, leave it NULL (or whatever the default value is)... this does seem very efficient.

This will then open a new page based on those values. I'd got this working using a hyperLinkButton and querystring but now I'm really struggling with the new requirement "it must be a button" selected this way

Mar 9, 2010My web page has one radio button and three sub radio buttons. When I click on Main Radio button, I am enabling the sub radio button using Javascript, and user can select the options. Now the problem is, when I click on submit on this page, I am unable to get the selected radio button. i.e., Suppose if I select 1st sub radio button and click on submit. I am checking in the code for sub radio button selection, I am getting no radio buttons are selected. The above condition is for first time only. Now go to another page and traverse to the page again, I am successful, i.e., I am getting the selections properly.

Jan 20, 2011I have an "articles" page that holds a radiobutton list and a textarea. when the user selects a radio button, the text area is populated. now the users wants to be able to point to an article via a url link. (everything is dynamic and being pulled from a db source)
by using a 3 party tool i was able to grab the exact http request (below) that will link to the users' selection. the problem is the url is extremely long. is there another way to link to the radio button selection? that way i can just modify the query string to fit a specific format.

I solved 2 problems with adding ids to anchors like id="tabsA-1" and simulating the postback for

which selectedTabIndex is a public string var in code_behind and i update its value in page_load. one funny problem was that the .tabs( 'select' , index ) in JQuery is not zero-based index of the tab as the official site said and it start from 1.

Jan 5, 2011I am *VERY* new to ASP.net. This may seem simple to you all, but I'm really lost. I have a small sized page with three text boxes (part of the InsertItemTemplate) of a formview, and a slightly modified link the system generated to submit the data to be inserted in the database:

If this page is run, it inserts the data into the database fine, clears the form and sits there. I want it to return a simple "Thank you" page in a window of the same size, with a Close Window buttom at the bottom to close the window:

When I set the postbackurl property on the first page, everything appears to work, except the write is never done to the database. If I remove the postback, it works as it did previously.
AJAX :: Textbox Postback Causing Radio Button List To Lose Selection?
May 27, 2010This is likely a n00b question, but I can't seem to find any info on how to solve it. Here's the scenario:
I have a Textbox and a RadioButtonList in an UpdatePanel, both with AutoPostBack turned on (they need to be, can't turn it off on the text box))
The user enters some text in to the textbox, then clicks one of the Items in the radio button list.
Because the textbox post back is executing, the radio button is losing the value that the user selected.
How can I workaround this?
Passing Parameter From Radio Button & Check Box To Email?
Mar 21, 2011I have a form that is HTML, it involves a few string questions, a radio button, and a check box question. After the form is filled out, the info is then passed to an aspx page which sends out an email with the info. I am able to pass the string questions to the email, but am having trouble passing the radio button answer and the check box answers to the aspx and to then to the email. I have the code for the HTML set, I need help with the code for the ASPX page.(it is VB) Here is the code I have so far.

I had this working fine until we had to add runat="server" to the radio buttons.When I apply this it prevents my jQuery function from working how to get round it, heres a simplified version of the code:HTML

I've found out that when its converted to a .net control instead of checked="checked" (as it would be usually) it is just Checked, so I changed that but on inspecting the DOM in multiple browsers, none of my radio buttons are being checked(Are there any other ways I can use jQuery to check a radio button that has runat="server"?
