Sep 2, 2010 I can add a row to the bottom of a listivew by inserting a table after the layouttemplate in a listview. It works fine for me to call the added controls from code-behind and chane the control values. Since my listview changes width dynamically depending on the contents of the data, my added table columns don't match up.
I have tried to access the width property of the table and then match the new ones with codebhind, but it doesn't seem to work.
I am simply trying to add a row to the bottom of the listview to provide for totals of the columnts. What is the best way to to that?

There is a table named TblSections having "SectionId" and "Description".User can be selected in a Session variable.I have another table "Users" having "UserName", "UProfile", "SectionId".Actually I dont know how can I get SectionId from Users table into Session variable.So I have two tasks: one to get SectionId into Session Variable and another is to show dropdown item on the basis of User login.Hope you understand.

May 26, 2010On my website, registered users can make a profile about themselves suchas name, Favoirite color, hobbies, etcI have a DataTable called User which hold this information.also there are other datatables for Hobbies and Colors which list all possible options.To let the user update their choices I have a FormView in Edit mode on the aspx page whichis binded to the UserTable with a GetProfileByUserId Method and objectdatasource.
Within the formview, i have added drop down lists that are binded to the hobbies and Colors tables so they can edit their previous selection.On clicking Uodate update formview calls an Update Method that adds new selections to the User databaseNow I have two questionsIs it possible to show in the dropdown list the selected value that the User has already made?If the user only changes hobbies and not colors when they click update will a null value be passed into the data table for colors that replaces their previous selection?

Sep 6, 2010I have a FormView that allows a user to register for a company event. I want to do a couple of things with this form.
1. I need to write this data to a MS SQL database
2. I need to send an email confirmation of their registration to their email.
I know how to do both of these things, but i am having trouble doing both at the same time.
It would be nice if I could do it in one click, but I coded it into two pages to try to help simplify it.
The first page allows the user to input their information into a formview and when they click the submit button, it places those answers into session variables:

The Second page confirms the users information by taking those session variables and placing them into labels:

However, after I place information into the formview on the first page, it throws up this error:
"Conversion from type 'TextBox' to type 'String' is not valid".

I have another table called LOGIN with fields(id,DOB,password) example values(1001,24101989,madhukumar)
What i want is , if i login using the LOGIN table ,it  check the  id and permission in the ROLE table , if the permission is 'hr' it enable to access the menu , or if the permission is any other it just print the error message ("no permission")
Note: menu is placed in master page , but login is not in the master page ...

Inside this table I have created a panel wich I like to be centered in this table so I have set it like this but still the panel is to the left in the table ? This is the first problem.

Then I have TextBox77 that I like to be centered in this Panel9 wich it is, setting HorizontalAlign="Center"
So I would like this Panel9 to be centered in the Table but still the Panel is to the left in the Table ?
