Data Controls :: Get Value In Dropdown From Database / Show Other Value Which Is There In Dropdown

I want to display the selected value from gridview in a dropdownlist.Here I am not getting the Dropdown from Database as it contains two values.After getting the data user can modify the DDL and change the selection.The data type where the values are saved is declared as Bit.

i have a dropdown with month names if the user has data for the month tht is selected then gridview displays the rows with day nos as per the month but if the gridview has no data for the same the dropdown or gridview via some event should call a insert procedure to insert data into the table for tht month with daynos ad rebind the gridview witht the rows just created

I've currently got a form with two dropdown boxes on, and an XML file sitting on the site.
My two drop down boxes are Location and Date and what i'm trying to do it get the Location box to filter the XML and put the dates in the Date dropdown box.
I'm using C#.
Unfortunatly, its not working.

I am using gridview for my application, in the grid i am using dropdown list for two columns ,It's working when i run my application but when i am edit application ddl can't show the editable data ( it show only select).And one more thing that two columns are interrelated , one ddl(Itemgroup) is connected with(ItemName).

I am stuck at this point "Displaying a dropdown list of Categories with a --None -- Option. I want the gridview control to display 2 dropdown list one in read-only mode and the other in edit mode. When a record is in read-only mode, the dropdownlist's enabled property will be set to false."When it's on a read-only mode, it doesn't display the selected Category. it shows but the "No Category". When i click on edit to edit or change category, it doesn't display the selected category.

I have one repeater on page which has his own sql data source. I've placed 2 dropdown lists on the page. The repeater has jQuery DataTable plugin. With 2 dropdownlist I wish to change the sql stored procedures so when each will be selected the data in repeater will change. When user select the first there will be only data (users) according to selected item and in the second the same. I wrote 2 simple functions for changing stored procedure of repeater and rebiding it. Everything works but when I try the second one and then the first I always get warning about error "Procedure or function .... has too many arguments specified".
I think that when I select the first one the second function is still called although I don't call it.

I am very new to coding in asp.net, I've never done anything before, but heres my problem, I have a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database, and basically I need to be able to search that database by 3 different things, basically there is tons of data, and I need to be able to search by a member ID, a location, and a group name So basically I wanted a drop down list, with these 3 column names, and than a search box where you can actually type in what you are looking for, than have the results display, I have been trying to do this with gridview, but I can't seem to get it to work correctly

I have created an asp.net customizable gridview where user will be able to add and delete data. Now I face some proplem with this gridview. now I want to add a dropdown list (which is dynamically bind with database) inside the grid. I created code and it bind well. when the page is post back previous selected dropdown list value lose and set to selectedIndex=0; For this reason I used if(!page.Ispostback) and put the dropdown binding code inside this. I have Dropdown for Quotenumber(auto increment ).i have created a function to retreive the data from database.data loading into dropdown. when i click on Addquotenumer button the new quotenumber generated and same loading into dropdown but 2 set of Quotenumbers are displaying rather than singleset, i debudded the code the reason was i have called this function twice one is form load and another one in AddQuotenumber button event,both should manadetory as per my requirement. how can un load this dropdown before AddQuotenumber button

On my website, registered users can make a profile about themselves suchas name, Favoirite color, hobbies, etcI have a DataTable called User which hold this information.also there are other datatables for Hobbies and Colors which list all possible options.To let the user update their choices I have a FormView in Edit mode on the aspx page whichis binded to the UserTable with a GetProfileByUserId Method and objectdatasource.
Within the formview, i have added drop down lists that are binded to the hobbies and Colors tables so they can edit their previous selection.On clicking Uodate update formview calls an Update Method that adds new selections to the User databaseNow I have two questionsIs it possible to show in the dropdown list the selected value that the User has already made?If the user only changes hobbies and not colors when they click update will a null value be passed into the data table for colors that replaces their previous selection?

How to add data from database in drop down list manually?

In the database table name tbldate there is field day and I have to add all these dates manually as:
dropdownlist1 is id for drop downlist and dr is object of data reader which get the value after select command from the above said table.
dropdownlist1.datasource=dr["day"].tostring();
dropdownlist1.databind();
But it shows only value 17 in dropdownlist why?
