which will be captured in the textbox for the respective fields.In the second view i have three more fields

maritalstatus
bloodgroup
which will be entered in the respective textboxes and a submit button to store the data in both the views in the sql server database. I have all the fields in the sql server table which are mentioned in the webpage.I need the complete code for storing the entered data in both the views of the multiview control after hitting the submit button.

Nov 19, 2010i am using the multiview control inside a page and i am trying to find a control using the javascript function document.getElementById. My Problem is that the function returns null cause it cannot find the control. When i open the code of the page from the browser the active view is not rendered so I think thats the reason why I am getting a null value from the function.
On the HTML code is rendered only the first view or the view that is activated on page load.
Is there any way to find a control inside the view using javascript? or I am doing something wrong?

Dec 26, 2010I have added a multiview and menu in a web page. I have 2 views. In both the views, i have added 2 dropdownbox. Two different Dropdown box is available in both the views. Dropdownbox are filled from the database.In the first view, i selected a data in the dropdownbox, and moved to the next view. In the second view, i selected a data in the dropdownbox. I clicked on the first menu, and in the dropdownnbox i am not able to retain the selected data. It is going to the default value.

Mar 9, 2010I tried to create controls in side MultiView dynamically. The testing code is attached. My question is why the dynamic control is not shown in view2 and it disapears from view1 when <Previouse> button is clicked, even though enableviewstate is set to true?
If the dynamic control is created outside IsPostBack, they are always there. But should we do it this way?

Jan 5, 2011I have a multiview control on a page with multiple child view controls. As the ActiveViewIndex is changed when I nagivate between views, I'd like to reposition the scroll position of the browser. For instance, when toggling between a very long page with a huge gridview (page 1) and a smaller page that follows (page 2), I'd like my scroll position to start back at the top of the page when I navigate to the smaller page. Currently, if I scroll down on Page 1 and select an item that navigates me forward to page 2, the scroll position is maintained and I start too far down the page when Page 2 displays. I have programatically set MaintainScrollPosition to false on Page_Load so this should not be a factor.

Jun 30, 2010I need a way to change the ActiveViewIndex of a multiview control based on some query results. Right now I test to see if I have rows returned from my linq query. If so, set a certain view active. If no rows are returned, I would like to set a different view active. I would like to do this on Page_Load if possible.
Right now I get the fatal "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error on page load with it bombing at line 12. My count is given a value at runtime so that is not the issue. Can anybody tell me why this is and how to get around it. Code is attached.
I also tried this both the pre render and Page_Init event but both yielded the same behavior with the Object reference not set to an instance of an object error. I can do this just fine in an onclick event for a button, but now I need a way to run a test and set the default view when the page loads. Seecode below

Jan 25, 2010all i am using Datapager control with ListView control in my application.where i bind my list view in page_prerender event. my problem is that Datapager control is showing the page records but when i click on the next page ( i.e. if i am on page 1 then clicked on page 2) it will not responding.
i am using my list view in update panel.is the problem with the update panel?
previously when i binded my Listview on pageload it work's fine.
