Forms Data Controls :: Remove Text Fill After Change

I have a textboxes which I need to have a value of zero unless it is changed by the person filling out the form. So I have done this: In the page load

which makes the textboxes zero when the page loads. The problem is that when the form is inserted to the database it is not populating the field with a changed amount, but making it zero. I need to somehow tell it to ignore the zero fill command from the pageload. I think I have to use OnTextChange but am not sure how. This is what I have tried
I want to fill a gridview with data from a database table..But, I have to avoid the column names from the database..I had already specified header text for the gridview.. i had already selected two column names 'name' and 'number' from a database table, then I had created two columns for the gridview( with header text's name and number)..Now i want to select the all the data from columns 'name' and 'number'..and then fill the respective columns.
How to change the values in gridview on text change of templated control without databind again?the value of templated text boxes should change If i change the value of one of the templated textbox then accordingly(By mathematical calculations) the vlaues of all tempated textboxes should also change.
I have a stored procedure that has hyperlinks in it when I call that stored procedure into a gridview those hyperlinks are displayed which is fine. I want them removed when I export the gridview to excel but remember they are in my stored procedure.

im using gridview to read data from datasuorce(my access) and im editing data using 'enable editing' from smart tag(in design window .aspx), now i want to change the edit text: edit(i hav named it as edit) to 'view' for one particular user whose name:'sunil'?

My issue is that , need to change the column name(following format "Remove first character and after 3rd character insert colon") of the gridview (which is binded with XMLTextReader). Without changing directly XML file, Required to change the column name dynamically at runtime .
I have a gridview and I use a sort function there, which means that if I click on the header of some column the table is sorted by this column. What I need is to change the colour of header of column which I sorted the table by. E.g. if I sort the table by first name, I click on the header of column called "first name", then the table will be sorted by first name and the colour of the text "first name" will change. The sorting is not a problem but I don't know how to change the colour of text.

I run my page for the first time everything runs perfect. I move to other pages of the grid still perfect. Then i move to other aspx page and then come back. The page loads perfect with the old page number there still perfect. Now if i press any image button then the text change event fires which should not fire.
Note: i need the text change event as i user randomly enters something in the text box then i have to handle that.
Example:
When i return from the other aspx page then the value in the Page Number text box is lets say 4. Then i press the Back image button and a post back happens. The Value in Text box is still the same 4. Then y the event is firing ???
I am not understanding that why this event is firing. On the page load, i retrieve the values from hash table (The hash table is stored in session in base page) and from the hash table i get the pageNo and assign it to the page No text box.

I have a gridview which is binded to a table at runtime.So when the gridview displays the header text is exactly same as table field text which I want to change ,How can I accomplish thisFor example my table field name is MembershipNumber, so my gridview header also displays the same name. I have a gridview that displays the current weeks scheduled games. Ideally I have added a column to the end of the gridview that I would like display 1 of 3 values. I have a series of textboxes on a FormView. There is a textbox for entering a percent for a deposit amount and next to that a corresponding textbox for entering a dollar value for a deposit amount. There are 3 sets of these.
If a user changes a percent textbox, I update the dollar value textbox based on the percent times the project's total cost. If a user changes the dollar value textbox, the percent textbox gets updated as a percent of that dollar amount divided by the project's total cost.
I have the percent textboxes formatted as "{0:0%}" and the dollar value textboxes as "{0:C}".
When a user types into the textbox, the formatting goes away and we get raw numbers but I don't want those raw numbers to remain as such after they tab or click out of the field. I added a TextChanged event to reset the formatting. This works fine on reformatting the percent textbox but the currency one remains as just a raw numeric value.
