I have a textbox in a formview as well as a dropdown. When I select a value in the dropdown, the textbox should be made visible or invisible based on the value I select.

In my query i have 1 gridview..
In this gridview i have 1 dropdownlist and 1 textbox..
textbox is in visible=false state..
My question is after selecting dropdown list selected value i want visible textbox in gridview..
I have a formview with an image and a panel which is initially hidden/invisible.
I want to make panel visible on mouseover event of the image and make it invisble on mouseout.
I tried to img.Attributes.Add("onmouseover", "showPanel()") in FormView1_ItemCreated ( object sender, EventArgs e) event.
During runtime it gave an error. jscript object expected. I am not sure if it should be client java script.

I have a dropdownlist, the contnet in the gridview (sqldatasource connection) changes based on the value the user slects, say I have play1, play2 from the dropdownlist, I would like to show column1, column2 and column3 with user selects play1; show column4, column5, and clomn6 when use selects play2; the datatable actually includes all 6 columns.
I understand that I need to use something like RowCreated event, and I need to set up condition based on the dropdownlist value, but I dont really know how to.
I have a form that has 2 querystring variables ID and FormID being passed to the page. Also on this page I have 2 different DataSources that outputs to a Detailview depending if the FormID is 1 or 2. Actually I have a datalist in which I am binding product name and product description and there is a hyperlink.
I am binding datalist in page load and checking that user is login or not using session.
if user is login then hyperlink text should be view more
else
hyperlink text should be login to view
The code I have written is working fine but when user is logged in then Only one products hyperlink text changing. I want change it to all hyperlink text to view more when user login

in my query i have gridview with 1 dropdown list ddl, two texboxes tb1 and tb2.
tb1 is in visible false..
tb2 is in visible true.
if i select dropdown selected value as "other" tb1 column should be visible and ddl selected value not effected to another textbox tb2.

My issue is, that i only need this to display when my datalist is displayed and has records.. every time else, it needs to be hidden ( Visible = false ) on page_load i have it set to
btnAddVideo.Visible = false;
btnAddVidCart.Visible = false;
Should i only be check then within my dropdown event? By default the page is displaying my datalist, so it should be hidden.. then you have a dropdown to make a selection, if you change it, then it should show ONLY if there are records to be displayed.

There is a dropdown with two status (Cleared, Pending) in the formview.
I want to hide Edit button of the form if the dropdown displays Cleared. So that the user may not edit further in the data.
In my table there is no record then I'm going to hide my formview fields on page_load event,
it gives an error "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
How can I hide fields in formview all mode?

And when he clicks on update the textbox disappears and label appears I have achieved making the text box disappear and label appear but when I click on edit the textbox is not appearing ....

To insert a new product to table [Products] in DB i have a formview. The formview includes a DropDown list taken from foreign table called [Status]. The table [Status] includes fields ID and Status (Status values are: Inn, Out, Damaged).
When i choose from the DropDown i want the textvalues from Status to be displayed (so far im good) but then i want the [Status.ID] to be inserted in [Products.Status_ID] so the cell value will be 1, 2 or 3. This because [Products.Status_ID] is the foregin key to [Status.ID] so that i have the ability to sort products after Status value later.
But do i really need that foreign key? Do i just complicate it further by doing it this way? Perhaps Status could just be a regular string with no foreign key...?
