To try to get more correct usage patterns regarding load, we'd like to just fire up a bunch of users logging in, and then repeatedly just navigating through a list of links (our menu basically.)Is there any open source or free tools we can use? We're not adverse to pay for anything if we need to but right now we are trying a bunch of different things and we'd like to hold off on this until we know a bit more.Of course, some simply Python scripts would do the trick, but if there's anything we could input our links to that saves us a bit of time in this it would be most welcome.

Output: Some of input files (maybe all, depends on rules) with another folder structure and file names. Xml files can be transformed with xslt to different text files.

Scenario in my application:
I have to create new employee on first tab(tab #1), and updating existing employee details on second tab(tab #2).I stored employee other details in Session["dtInfo"], use it on saving the record.Now Session["dtInfo"] having details of latest tab created, i.e. tab #2. I tried to save record on tab #1, facing the problem of session gets over written.I had to check some vaules on OnInit and OnInitComplete event. But I get here wrong values in session.

Feb 21, 2010I need to develop a project that needs to have a Ticker and an AdRotator, apart from some button controls and a banner.I have two options - ASP.NET and Windows Forms.With Windows Forms, I've been able to develop the Ticker, but I don't know how to develop the AdRotator.With ASP.NET, I'll have to develop Ticker using AJAX, whereas the AdRotator is already present.
The software is to be used as a standalone. I'm thinking of using Windows Forms for the development so that the requirements for the end-user is only the .NET Framework and not ths IIS plus the deployment would be easier. What should I use for the development?If you suggest Windows Forms, please throw some light for the development of AdRotator.Note: I don't have any knowledge on AJAX and I don't have much time for the development. Is it possible to develop the Ticker using some other technology other than AJAX ?

I am using session timeout.
My problem is that during files uploading my session got expired. Bcoz my uploader not being postback so i can't enhance session timeout. and while uploading my session got expired and process was not ompleted, causes some imp files could not uploaded.

But to point what's different about my question, Is that I'm having a parametrized URLs and I want to implement URL rewriting to my application. But I don't want to convert the parameter in the URL to be placed between slashes..."page.aspx?number=one" to "pages/one/" << NOT!
First example:
http://localhost:1820/Pages/Default.aspx?page=2&start=5
To
http://localhost:1820/Pages/page2
Second example:
http://localhost:1820/Items/Details.aspx?item=3
To
http://localhost:1820/Items/ItemName
But I'll still need all the parameters in the original URLs

AJAX :: Reg Maintaining Of State Management In Tab Control Of Control Tool Kit?
Feb 23, 2011I had a webform, in which I included the ajax control toolkit. From that, I inserted the tab control on to my webform, having 4 tabs in that tabcontainer. So, I am allowing the end user to enter the information in the first 3 tab panels, and want to display the entered info on the 4 tab panel, which shows all the info entered in the 3 tab panels.
So, how should I manage the information, and display the entered information on the 4th tab panel.. I had some plans of implementing an accordian ajax control for each 3 tabs info, allowing the user to edit at the 4th tab itself..Is this the right idea, or else suggest me, how to display the all the entered info in the 4th tab,like can i use details view, or grid,or suggest something else!!! I added a button to each panel, so that after the user enters the information, he will be redireted to the next tab panel after firing the "Save and continue" button.
AFter the user confirms the data on the 4th tab panel, and presses the submit button, then the entered info has to be entered into the database, for this to happen,. whtat should i do...??Can you plz help me out with some detailed explanation, as I am newbie , need support from you kind of ppl...In the first tab, I had some 4 text boxes, and 3 dropdowns, and a save and continue buttton, and in the next panel, some more text

C# Cookies Not Being Written To?

The function remove from basket is defined as:

I use the setcookiestring function on other pages and it works fine, but this function (removing from the basket) isn't setting the cookie! It is writing "done" to the top of the page, so the functions are executing.
No warnings, no errors, it's just not updating the cookie.
Run Task From Console App
Dec 8, 2010I have just taken over a project from another programmer and want to add some functionality. The ASP.NET application allows users to sign up, fill out details about a company, and those details are submitted to companies house (very brief explanation!). These details are only submitted when an administrator logs in to the control panel and clicks a "Run Submissions" button. This then attempts to submit all pending formations to the gateway.
What I want to do is design an external desktop or console application, that "clicks" this button for me every set amount of minutes. The application will some how need to "log in".
