I just want to ask you how to distinguish the mail between read & unread. Just like in some mail services the read mails are displayed in regular font & unread mails are displayed with bold. I want to know how to do this.

I am able to get a token with Windows Live Delegate Authentication samples provided by Microsoft.
Now I want to access emails (New, Read, Unread etc) from live account. How can I achieve it with the help of Windows Live Delegate Authentication? Are there any examples for the same?
The Samples given by Microsoft are not related to emails.
"Fetch and Read emails from POP3 mail server using C# and VB.Net - Part I"
I provided gmail server and all necessary credentials. But i was not able to get all emails from gmail .It was fetching last 300 mails. Getmessage count is getting wrong message count.
Unable to add update and delete functionality to any data control using MS Visual Web developer Express and SQL server 2008. The advanced options in the data connection wizard remain disabled. I can display data OK.
I am however able to connect to an Access 2007 DB through the same page and get this functionality to work.
Is there some kind of simple database system that uses simple text or xml files for data storage? I just need some basic functionality like update,delete, insert, simple constraints and relations.For the project that I have now using SQL Server would be too heavyweight and I have never really liked it anyway.
Edit and Delete functionality works flawlessly in Gridview if all data is pulled ONLY FROM ONE TABLE. But pulling data from one table give you ID's instead of actual values that are stored in other tables.
After creating a usable Select statement that would pull all the correct values, my Edit and Delete functionality no longer work.
In one of my Web Page, there is one Modal Pop up, in which I am using Gridview Edit, Update, CancelEdit, Delete functionality.Main functionality is : If while deleting any of the Gridview Row, if only 1 row remains in Gridview (that row can be any row), then that row should not get deleted.Rest of Edit, Update, CancelEdit functionally is working fine.
problem is: When any last row is left in Gridview, its Delete button is disables that time (as per requirement and functionality). But when user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button, update section opens, and at that time "Delete" button gets Enabled, so that time user can delete the last row of Gridview which should not be done.I had fixed this problem for "Cancel" and "Update" button of Gridview using below line:
Response.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsoluteUri); but unable to fix it for "Edit" button of Gridview. If Last row is left in Gridview , and user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button of that row, then at that time "Delete" button should not get "enabled" it should remain "disabled"
I am developing a web application for daily news service but can't understand how to make a news archive system so that I can submit new news everyday and then later can view news for selected date. For a reference site visit: [URL] I am Using VS 2008, C#
I am developing a new project to list files and directories under an specified location on disk. I use normal methods like Directory.GetFiles() to achieve this task but the amount of files is getting very big (> 300000) and the site is becoming terrible slow.
I worked with Index server with previous versions of Asp.Net but I was wondering if there is a new way for my website running Asp.Net 4.0.
Also I heard something about Index Server is obsolete to achive file listings and search. Is there any new alternative?
I have been looking into using the Entity Framework for our project, but so far keep coming up a number of limitations trying to fit it to the way our databases are structured. Right now we are coding directly to the database through a MySQL connector, so we have full flexibility to do anything possible that SQL can handle. So the first issue I have is that I need the ability to select a different table for an Entity set at runtime, as we have some tables that have suffixes on them based on the 'brand' presented to the user (ie: shopping carts, config variables etc). I found this project on Codeplex that looks like it will allow me to easily solve that problem:[URL]
However I have another problem I need to solve. Our main database is actually re-factored into the core working set database (6 months of data), and archive databases. There is one archive database per year, where orders and other interesting stuff is archived away to get them out of the working set which keeps the database table sizes and server load down. However the problem is, every so often there are valid reasons to dip into the archive tables to pull stuff out and deal with data in the archive tables (to refund a customer perhaps past 6 months, or to mark an order as fraud 8 months later etc, or just to query sales history for reporting). For our normal code we have structured some smart SQL pre-processing logic that allows us to find stuff across the archives and join it to the primary database. The result is a single query that returns data from either the working set, or any of the archives all at once (and can join stuff to items still in the working set, such as currently active products etc).
I have struggled to determine if there is even any way to represent that kind of thing with the Entity Framework? The schema of the archive databases is identical to the schema of the primary database, except that it only had a limited selection of tables in it (just stuff that needs to be archived). So how can we associate the main database schema with the archive tables, but more importantly be able to run a query across them all? Should I just write a separate schema for each individual archive database (or perhaps I should give up on archiving stuff by year, and just stick all the archives in one DB?)? But if I do that, is there any way in Entity Framework to join across to tables in a different database? Or for the archive database schema, to include references to tables in the main working set database?
i want to download selected file in a zip and it work but problem is it include all folder and i want add only one folder which is the name of that movie.
 i have used the codeÂ
protected void btnDownload_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { using (ZipFile zip = new ZipFile()) { foreach (GridViewRow gvrow in GridView1.Rows) { CheckBox chk = (CheckBox)gvrow.FindControl("chkSelect"); if (chk.Checked) {
I have a folder on my web server that has hundreds of mp3 files in it. I would like to provide the option for a user to download a zipped archive of every mp3 in the directory from a web page.
I want to compress the files programmatically only when needed. Because the zip file will be quite large, I am thinking that I will need to send the zip file to the response stream as it is being zipped, for performance reasons.
public void ZipExtract(string zipfilename, string outputDirectory) { using (ZipFile zip = ZipFile.Read(zipfilename))//file not found exception { Directory.CreateDirectory(outputDirectory); zip.ExtractSelectedEntries("name=*.jpg,*.jpeg,*.png,*.gif,*.bmp", " ", outputDirectory, ExtractExistingFileAction.OverwriteSilently); } } [code]...
How do I reference the delete button to add the delete confirmation box when I have both the Edit and Delete buttons as the last two columns in the Gridview control. The following code works fine without any issues when I have the delete button only:
protected void GridView1_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType != DataControlRowType.DataRow) return; int lastCellIndex = e.Row.Cells.Count - 1; Button db = (Button)e.Row.Cells[lastCellIndex].Controls[0]; db.OnClientClick = "if (!window.confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this record?')) return false;"; }
But, when I have both the Edit and the Delete buttons, I get the following error when I click the edit button while the delete button works fine.
Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: index
How do I reference the delete button so the edit button is not affected in this case?
Using "Enable Delete" from Gridview control, I can delete (besides, update, sort, paging, etc) data from the database (this is done automatically). However, how can I delete the actual image that resides in my image folder (i.e. from "pix" folder )? What is the best way to delete image? If using code behind, how? Please write a full code for me. Here is my source code.
I am interested in building an intranet document management system to be used from Internet Explorer using ASP.net, VB.net, and MS SQL Server but have no experience in doing a project like this. Supported file types would be txt, pdf (from scanner or imported from file system), or jpg. What concepts I should look at researching/learning about to build the system in a way that files will be stored as small as possible, retrieved and displayed quickly, and secured. The users would be spread out over a regional area covering 4 states.
I have a grid contol that allows delete what I would like to have is someway to say Are you sure you want to delete?I found this code online, and tried it but it did not work, Do I need something more some behind code maybe?Here is what I found online:Adding 'Delete Protection' to controls If you use a control set up to allow Delete, the Delete button gives a straight delete without any warning, which can be dangerous.To give a warning dialog box, add an OnClientClick event to the Delete button, as follows.
<asp:LinkButton ID="DeleteButton" runat="server" CausesValidation="False" CommandName="Delete" OnClientClick="return confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this record?');" Text="Delete"> </asp:LinkButton>
Here is my code: You can see where I added the code from above.
I want to make an conformation dialog on auto generated delete button in detail view that when user press delete dialog or conformation box appear that u sure u want to delete how can i do this?Â
