Gridview SQL Parameter Null From Javascript / Ajax Populated Dropdownlist

My issue is similar to [URL] how-to-use-the-value-of-a-selected-value-from-a-dropdownlist-populated-with-ajax but I am using ASP.NET, not PHP. I have a dropdownlist that is populated by another dropdownlist's current value through ajax. So if DDL A is 'NY', DDL B is populated with different data relating to 'NY'. I need that data to be posted back to the server because this affects an SQLDataSource parameter. However, as far as I can tell, the value is always null after postback resulting in the gridview to be empty.

When I use the code below an error accur when click add button to insert into sql because the selected value in DropDownList is back to --select-- Idon't know why it should be the the value I selectedbut when not use this code and bind the DropDownList using wizard it works but I need to use the code to make the first selection is --select--.

I have a gridview which contains a templatefield. Inside this is an ImageButton and a dropdownlist. This is all created in the aspx page, although the ddl list items are populated in the RowDataBound event in the vb page. When i change the selected item in the drop down list and hit the imagebutton, the selected item is not maintained after postback. Instead the first record is displayed in the dropdownlist. I have wrapped an If Not Page.IsPostback around the datasource and databind's but this doesn't help. I have tried enabling viewstate in all areas on the page too, but still nothing. The list items for the ddl must be created on RowDataBound also. As far as I am aware, my ddl is not really dynamic, its just the list items which I add in the code behind which are classed as dynamic.

I have a simple web-service and want to invoke it from a client. this service has a parameter but when I invoke it from client and send to it a parameter , in server side service run successfully but always parameter has no value and is null ( depend on parameter's type ex if it's string , value will be string and if it's int , value will be zero ) here is server and client code:

Basically, the user Selects a row on GV that executes an Insert into a table the GV cell values of the selected row.
The SQL field data type is varchar. If the GV field is Null, the Insert adds the value to the SQL field. How do I keep the @nbsp; from being displayed in the cell of a data control when it is called at a later time? Do I add some more asp to my control parameter? do I add some vb code behind? I am using ITextSharp to create a pdf. But when I am binding data to Gridview dynamically which was actually a result of ajax webmethod, its showing a blank PDF file. So how can I export dynamically binded data to GridView to PDF. Is there any other way to export dynamically binded gridview data to PDF?

m using a listview and an object data source in my application, with optimistic concurrency control.i have only 2 columns in the listview: category_ID and category_name;when i try to delete an item, an error message is generated saying that one of the old values populated by the list view is null, i performed debugging, and found that the category_ID old value is populated correctly, while the category_name old value is populated as nulli can't find a problem in the code, i executed the delete command in the query builder directly and it worked fine,

I have a gridview with some text-box columns and one dropdownlist-column (Templatefield).
With the dropdownlist i wan't to be able to edit a cell in a row. I have read a lot on the web and i have folowing code. I only get a parameter error now, before i added the dropdownlist everything was ok.

Ik keep getting this sort of errors when using Ajax controls.The colorpicker extender and the Cascaded dropdown generate this kind of error in my application.I have a scriptmanager in my masterpage.I already tried using a scriptmanager proxy.What could cause these errors?I have the controls inside template fields of data presentation controls.

My database has 4 colums;
TraditionalID-------------TraditionalName------------Singles-----------Suppers
Singles and suppers are money fields for the price of same item. A bit like the price of a Small, Medium or Large item. What I would like to do is display the 'Singles' price and 'Suppers' price in seperate listitems so the user can choose 1 of them.
GridView:
Traditional Name__________Size
Chicken-------------------[DROPDOWNLIST]
DropDownList:
Price of Single is: £1.50
Price of Supper is: £2.50
My page loads up with the correct items in TraditionalName colum but the DropDownList is completely empty. I'm aware I don't have anything in for DataValueField and DataTextField but I have tried putting things in these attributes, like Suppers and Singles, but nothing works, so I have taken them out below.

during edit mode i populate the drop down in question with data based on a value selected in another drop down also in the gridview, all works find, but the paramater is not being updated with the selected value, i think this is because i do not call any Bind in the aspx side.

I have 2 dropdownlist(ddlCategoryFooter and ddlItemCodeFooter)inside my gridview. I want to set ddlItemCodeFooter 's datasource to my getItemList(decimal categoryID) method. The selecteditem of ddlCategoryFooter will serve as the paramter which will be passed to my getItemList Method. Basically,ddlItemCodeFooter is dependent on ddlCategoryFooter's selectedItem.
I know it can be done in code behind approach but i prefer to place it in my asp page.
This i what i want to acheive:

I have the following:

UPDATE:
I tried by removing the single quotes from insode the <% %> tags. Which gave me this:
onClientClick='<%# "javascript:popUp(popup_createWR.aspx," + Eval("dvc_nm") + "," + Eval("data_orgtn_yr") + ")" %>'
which complied, but when I clicked the button I did not get a pop up, the page just posted back and reloaded and said errors on page, but no popup...

i have one simple question; do I have to... or is there any need to validate value from DropDownLists that are populated from SQL Datatables. I know how to validate them, but I am just concerned about potential SQL Injection, because those DropDownLists are going to be "Input fields" for a new Datatable, and insted of using TextBoxes, user will choose values from those DDL's and Submit them (INSERT INTO) to SQL Datatable. Is there a way for a "hacker" to insert his item value into DropDownList. I hop You understand what I mean!?

I have 2 dropdown lists on a WebForm. One of them is populated in the page's Page_Load event. This oneworks fine with the following code.

Then, after a value is selected from this list and a date is selected from a DateTime picker, then I click a button which is supposed to populate the 2nd dropdownlist. In the debugger in the button's click event I can see that the dataset is being populated with data, but then the list is never populated after the DataBind() method is run. I have a DropDownList populated with a SQL Stored Procedure. On the page, there is also a button that when pressed, processes the contents of the dropdownlist. I would then like the dropdownlist to automatically remove the selection, and if there is nothing left in the dropdownlist, I would also like the button to be disabled.
