I have programatically added javascript to HyperLink controls on all pages in my site from the Masterpage as it is served up.
I have a new problem. I have a Masterpage wrapper around html pages without asp.net controls in them. Using the Masterpage, I need to parse through all html hrefs in each page and add javascript to each link if it includes "http" or ".pdf". Can the Masterpage parse the text of each page and programatically change it?
private string _pageName; public string PageName { get { return _pageName; } set { _pageName = value; litTitle.Text = _pageName; } }
I'm guessing this is because the page output has already been rendered, but as I say I don't know enough about ASP.NET. I guess I'm after something similar to PHPs ob_start().
I have a MasterPage.master and default.aspx content page From the contetn page I'd like to edit a style property of an Html tage that is in the MasterPage.
[Code]....
But error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I've been trying for 3 hours to figure this out... Basically I'm trying to incorporate this script into my personal website which is built using .NET Master Pages...
The link to the demo is here [URL]
I copied this guys code and built locally on my machine to test. Works find UNTIL you convert the HTML to ASPX and add the <form runat="server"></form> tags. Is there a work around for this or a method that works better? I'm trying to understand how to properly insert such code into a .NET website for both now and future purposes.
I have a requirement to add a new asp.net functionality to an existing static html web site.Its about adding few text boxes and connecting to database and displaying information on the html web site.Is it possible to merge html and asp.net on a html web site?
I am using ASP.NET MVC 2 & C#. I want to include/embed an html page (raw text & styling; no forms) in one of my views as is without my own css styling (read: The site.css styles for the ASP.NET MVC 2 application itself) affecting it. I can access the page statically and open it in a new window and it retains it's styling; however, if I do:
The styling from the html & the site.css in the web application seem to get merged. I've added the following ignore route entries as well: routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.html/{*pathInfo}"); I also tried making a partial view control with the raw html in it and rendering that here. That gives the exact same results as this.
I a using an HTML Editor control on a page within a Update Panel, when te user selects from a DropDownList the page gets the requested Text from an SQL DB and updates the HTML Editor. This all works fine and if the user edits the text it is also saved back to the DB perfectly fine.
However if the user tries to put a blank line in to the TEXT (Line theline above this one!) even switching from Design to Preview this line is removed and if the Text is saved back to the DB the line is removed. I have tried adding lots of lines but they are always removed as if the control is thinking well we don't need this white space so lets get rid of it.
I've created a seperate html files for navigation, content and footer. I want to club those files. All the navigation, content, footer files resides in the same directory where the index.html file resides. I want to include the above mentioned html files inside the index.html. I have tried using the following in index.html file <!-- #include virtual="topbanner.html" -->
I also tried using the asp code which also fails. I tried with asp by changing all the html file extensions as .asp. Then i tried to place the following asp code in index.asp file as <!-- #include file="topbanner.asp" -->
I've run into an instance where I'd like to change the Enctype of the form declared in my current view's master page. I'd like to make the change in order to support attachments via Request.Files.
In my Site.Master View, I have the following line:
[Code]....
If I don't include the string identifying the Controller to use, I get an error stating that the PrimaryNavigation method couldn't be found in the Home Controller. Since the Site.Master View is in the Shared Views folder, I would have thought that the Shared Controller would have been used.
I am struggling with something that I guess should be standard practice really. I have a number of user controls that use some JQuery plugins. I do not really want to link to the extra CSS and JS files from my main masterpage as this would cause extra load to the user the first time they hit the site, (admittedly it would only be the once), so I was just putting them links into the top of the user control. Then I looked at my source HTML, not nice! Even worse for controls that repeat multiple times on a page.
So I was thinking is there a way of injecting them into the Head of the page when they are needed from the User Control. For that matter is there a way of doing it to the footer for JS stuff?
I want to include view content page in my master page: My MVC application Left Menu MainPage. The Left Menu and Main page are two contentHolders in the master page. How can I add the Left Menu (View content page) to my Master page?. The Left Menu page is going to be a permanent page. The Content in the main Page is going to change. Left Menu content needs to be the permanent content for all other pages.
I searched in the internet, but I didn't find any solution that solves my problem. Basically I need some permanent menu items in the left page. But, I should not write the code in my master page. I need to add that Menucontent as my contentPage to the master. I have tried that by adding a New content page called "LeftPage.aspx" in View/Home folder.I have referred this page to the master "Left content holder". As the ASP.Net MVC talk to the controller, the left menu is not getting displayed while page loading.If i specify the ControlAction for this left page and specify the URL as //Home/Left ;then the page is getting displayed with only the left page content.
I have a form which a user can fill in x times with the data they want too. The form is posted to the following Action.
[HttpPost] public ActionResult Manage(ProductOptionModel DataToAdd) { if (!ModelState.IsValid) { return View(DataToAdd); } var ProdServ = new ProductService(); if (DataToAdd.ID != 0) { //Edit Mode. DataToAdd = ProdServ.EditProductOption(DataToAdd); ViewData["Message"] = "Option Changes Made"; }else { //Add DataToAdd = ProdServ.AddProductOption(DataToAdd); ViewData["Message"] = "New Option Added"; } var RetModel = new ProductOptionModel() {ProductID = DataToAdd.ProductID}; return View(RetModel); }
So at the bottom I blank the model (Leaving just the required field) and then return to the view. However the view holds the data from the previously submitted form. I have debugged the code and checked that the RetModel variable is empty.
I'm trying to use the default login page in my index page , as every page is using different control , what I'm trying to figure out is how I can use a different controller (something like include?) in a different page?
Or, if anyone has a better idea how not sends the user to a different logon page
I have a project which is developed by using VS 2003 with Framework 1.0.My project works very well while I am testing it on localhost.But 'sometimes' my application will appear blank page after click a save button in the production side(using IE 7).I set 'Try catch' into server codes to detect any error caused after users click save button. And they never see any error description page but 'sometimes' blank page.So I assume my server codes are safe.
