I've tried doing this, but it seems to just be ignored. I found a few articles saying that if you wanted to do this then you had to make sure that the parent object was also 100%. I have the following:
I am trying to set the width and height of images in a datalist in the codebehind.
The plan is to do something more complex than this based on the width/height, so setting width and height in the aspx file to 50% is not an option.
For some reason I always get 0 for width and height. Image1.ImageUrl is what i would expect though. Image is the System.Web.UI.Webcontrols.Image, not a System.Drawing.Image.
I am adding linkbutton dynamically (actually above snippet tells what I am actually doing, in reality TableRow and TableCell are added dynamiccally). My problem is, I am not setting height of linkbuttuon which will added dynamically. I have no idea what text I have to add to linkbutton.
What I want, after all the link buttons are added, iterate through each added lin button, get the height of each linkbutton, store the max height, then re-iterate throgh the link buttons and set the height of each link button to max height.
I have a child table inside the cell of parent table. I want to stretch the child table so that i covers full space in the cell of parent table. Also i need to keep the DOCTYPE tag. how to achieve this.
I had a problem for a long time but now wonder how I will solve this. Perheps it is easy.
I have a <table> with two <td>. This <table> resides inside a GridView, so I FindControl like below. Now I need to do a calculation of height that if MessageBox1 have a height that is less than 306, then I need the MessageBox2 to have the remaining height.
For example if MessageBox1 has the height of 206, then MessageBox2 need to have the height of 100.
I think my problem is how to convert the height of MessageBox1 correctly and set the remaining height to MessageBox2 ?
I have an aspx page which contains a table with 2 textboxes, and a nested table containing several other controls.
How can I autosize the main table so it fills the available page, and resize the 2 textbox rows to fill 50% each (height) of the remaining space and 100% width after the other fixed sized rows are displayed?
Using VB as code-behind in asp.net page...I have a TABLE control which I'm building dynamically. After the table is built, I'm trying to retrieve the HEIGHT property of that table to be able to dynamically position the next elements on the form. However, this control property is coming back as blank every time.
How can I get the height of the TABLE control AFTER building it, so I known where to place the next few elements in the flow??
how to set the height of table row details become auto in report viewer? due to my data maximum length is 300, however some data may be short till 10 characters.how to make the height become auto and depends on the content of data?
If we have more no.of items(suppose 250) in dropdownlist, how to show a minimum extent of height instead of dropdownlist taking complete page height. I have searched all the forums but i didn't get exact answer,
I set p { height: 25px ; min-height 25px;} to get the same line height in a form. I works in fine in most browsers. But when I invisible html tags inside p, the p will keep the blank space (25px) is there an alternative css for min-height, to make it work in IE and other browsers? since p always contains html inputs (label, textbox).
I'm guessing this worked in ASP.NET MVC 1 but not 2. The reason I need the id property set is so that I can do jQuery validation on the form: $("#myForm").validate etc...
[URL]above url contain a html table.I want to save this table value on XML and also want to save this table value on database MS2008.How to save html table values on database
I've been all over the Internet looking for an acceptable solution to this issue, but didn't find one, so hopefully I'll have more luck here. I've got a Html.DropDownList control in my application that pulls in a set of values from the database. That works just fine. However, I want to set the selected value in code, which has never worked correctly. This is, in my opinion, one of the worst implementations of Html helpers in MVC. Here's the culprit:
[Code]....
OK, it takes in a list of statuses and gets the text/value options set without a problem, but doesn't ever render the selected value on the option with a value (ID) of "5". I've stepped through the code as it is assigning these values, and it does set the value of that option to select = true, but the rendered html doesn't reflect this. I recall something about this helper using the Model to set its selected value, but why will it not allow the value to be explicitly set? Even better, if for some reason explicitly setting this in code isn't going to work, why allow it as viable code, and just silently fail? I'm all for this coding by convention approach MVC has taken, but when the convention is explicitly overridden in code, the code should prevail, I would think.
I am trying to get the row value/inner text from a table I have inside a repeater list. I am using jquery/tableDnD to drag and drop the row at which time I update the row number with the new position. Ultimately I would like to insert these new values into a table but I am having a problem accessing the client changed data using a c# procedure.
have a lengthy asp.net page. A HTML table in the page has a link. when the link is clicked the page refreshes and takes me to the top part of the page. Instead, i want to see the part of the page that has the link. It should automatically scroll down to that part once the page refreshes. How is that possible.
I want my users to upload their photos to my website. I am using fileupload for this. I have jquery to crop the image to desired size ( according to user). What I am doing is this, when a user uploads a photo, I use the uploaded image's address as ImageUrl , and the user gets its pic dynamically as soon as he uploads it.And then with the help of jquery , user can crop it to dimension of his/her choice. Finally, I get a cropped and smaller image. [:)]But the real problem is this, if a user uploads a picture of greater dimensions ( e.g. 1600x1200) , image covers up all the screen, so I want a method so that the uploaded image get restricted to a fixed height and width (say 500x5500) before it is available for cropping to the user.I have tried .......,Image's Width=500, Height = 500 ( using asp:image ) and attribute.add.style("width:500;height:500); ( using html img ) in code behind after uploading image . The image first appears in 500x500 dimension but immediately changes to its original dimension...
