Is there a way I could get the DropDownList Item Count then output it on the dynamic textboxes whose count is based on dropdownlist count. Lets say My item in Dropdown is 3. then 3 TextBox is autogenerated. Then I Want my textbox "Text" to be 1,2,3 since the items are 3 on dropdown.

Suppose, I sent a value from 1 page to another [ex:5] then on another page where i sent the value I want to display that many TextBoxes 1 by 1 means 5. I want to read all the values and want to store it.
Once the another page got the number It will display :-
Enter Product 1 Quantity : TextBox1 : I will enter the quanity next
Enter Product 2 Quantity : TextBox2 : I will enter the quanity next
till TextBox 5 / number
Basically, my idea is I want to generate the bill according to products which my worker carry. So I will enter my worker id and I will ask him how many products do you have. I enter the number. suppose 5. then that many textboxes will appear on the form and i will just enter there quantity.
I have a webforms (framework 3.5) site with a TON of dynamic content. Depending on the url, one or many content items will be sent to the client. I need a way to generate meta keywords for SEO based on the contents of the page (or part of the page, if possible).
I've done a little research and am not really turning up anything that addresses my problem directly. I have, on the other hand, found some interesting stuff that might get me there with considerable work. One idea I have is to intercept the response buffer at Application_BeginRequest (global.asax), parse out some meaningful keywords, and inject them back into the response buffer. However, this seems like a pretty expensive process and I don't even know if it's possible. I also feel like there could be a way to do this with an HttpModule.
I'm interested in what the community has to say about this. Is there already an existing and accepted way to do this that I'm just missing.
I am having a problem with disabling DropDownList based on the chice of 1st DropDownList, there is no post back occuring, and it is a template based web app here is the current code:

what i m trying is i hav two dropdownlists inside the gridview... namely say ddonsiteoffsite and ddhours... now what i want is if the selectedtext of ddonsiteoffsite is "onsite" the ddhours should b disabled... i tried the code snippet but ... its not disabling the ddhours... can someone help me please..

I have code that another member assisted with and is working great. Now that the page is working more and more like it should with the remaining requirments. I have something else i would like to implement.
Since the code i have automatically creates / generates a table with textboxes and labels based on a drop down selection. I would like to know how to clear the textboxes if they chose 0 from the dropdown. Or if they select "No" on the radiobutton, then that means they have nothing to provide, so i dont want to capture something that they may have entered before changing their mind.
Here is the code the generates the tables and textboxes, i just need to setup, so that if they select "NO" from the radiobutton or if they select "0" from the dropdown that the textbox values, if any, are cleared so that we dont get inconsistant data captured.

I have a dropdownlist ,three text boxes and a submit button.The three text boxes are disabled and enabled based on the condition in dropdownlist.I have provided required field validators in three text boxes.When I click on condition "self" then three text boxees are disabled and submit button click wont enter the values since required field validators prevent that.I have set causes validation property to false.But it wont work for the second condition where i need to enable all the textboxes,If i didnt provide any values it will enter nulll values to db.

GridViewDetails uses templatefields. In edittemplate I put a button called "ButtonUpdateAdjustAmount" with OnClick="Update_AdjustAmount" in the EditItemTemplate for the "Amt to be Adj" column. There is also a textbox. My user's should be able to edit the textbox, but I also want the ability to click the button and the textbox populated with the correct calculated value. The formula varies based on the "code" column which is a dropdownlist called "DropListCode".
I am fairly new to asp.net, vb, etc...so forgive my code writing. Eventually I need to also put the same functionality on the insertrow for my gridview. But first wanted to get the edit one working. I am using templatefields for all columns and the FooterTemplate to perform the Insert New Detail Line.
I can get the functionality to work for the first data row and only if I take out the If code.SelectedValue = ... line and leave 1 static formula. However that isn't going to work. If DropListCode.SelectedValue is DNR then AdjAmt should be ((q_ordered - q_received) * cost). If DropListCode. SelectedValue is OV then AdjAmt should be (RKNumber * cost). If DropListCode.SelectedValue is NB the AdjAmt should be ((q_received - q_ordered) * cost). If DropListCode.SelectedValue is DAM then AdjAmt should be (RKNumber * cost)

View 2 RepliesWith a VB WEb app, using VS 2010 and all updates, I have been getting intermittend javascript errors. Finally tracked it down to something to do with textboxes and update panels. With-in any of my Web pages, if I use a textbox and the .TextChanged even to post back, I get a JavaScript error. No problem if I use a Dropdownlist, Button, etc. Also, if I use any other controls such as buttons or dropdownlists before using any of the textboxes to generate a postback, everything works fine.
And yes, I have the the controls with-in the correct updae panels just in case anyone was wandering.
I wasn't having a problem before and have a feeling it is a bug, but am not sure so I posted it here.
Also, can't figure out how to debug the Javascript code. Using the developers tools in Internet Explorere it says soure code doesnt' exist for some reason now.

View 1 RepliesI'm dynamically creating labels and textboxes. The labels are getting the data that they should, but the textboxes aren't. The textboxes are empty if they were newly added or contain data from a previous initialization. There's no difference in the code that I'm using that I can see or think of. What do I need to change to get data to the textboxes?
The following code is in my OnInit event. The code for dynamicTextBoxes is currently commented in favor of dynamicLabelsData, which works as I'd like. myPlaceHolder is a ContentTemplate on the page.

more than 24 hours of googling up by now but i hv'nt yet found the commendable solution of my problem. Actually what i searching is ihave a bunch of textboxes created dynamically on the basis of no. of rows in a sql table i put in some data in these textboxes and inserting in other table and here comes the actual problem i have to create the dynamic controls on every postbacks otherwise controls does disappear. other thing i can do is recreate the table on insert button click but in that way i am able to insert the data in the table and recreate the controls but this way text in dynamic textboxes does not remain there.
