Now that i learned how to pass values to an SWF object via flashvars, how can i pass values from a querystring to javascript?
What do i mean? In the following example i hard-code the xml file to load in the SWF object.

Since the Xml file is created dynamic, the xml should be loaded from the value of a query-string. (I guess).

How can i pass it to the javascript side? Like..
so.addVariable("xmlPath", "xml/<% SomeData %>.xml");
or whatever it needs to make it work.

I have two textboxes and a drop down.User has a option that he should select drop down and enter value in any one of the texbox .
My procedure accepts null values . only problem is how to pass tht from code behind tht the any text box value submitted it shud return the data.

Some background of my issue:
I have a fully working cascading drop down list accessing a database.
My parent Cascading Drop Down List is a list of countries and the child displays the relative regions i.e.: USA returns Iowa, Maryland, Oregon etc.
I also have a 3rd Drop Down List control that allows the user to select the language to display the region details i.e.: Selecting the language of Chinese will return a list of regions of the USA in Chinese (held in the database).
I now want to display the translated country name from the 3rd Drop Down List in a label on the page.
I cannot just use the text from the country drop down list as this text value remains in English. The translated value must be returned from the database.
So far, I have installed a DynamicPopulateExtender:

I then wrote a web method (in the Cascading Drop Down local Web Service) to return the translated country name. To do this I have had to hard code the countryID (10663) and the translationLanguageID (1331) asshown below:

This does return the translated country name, but the variables are hard coded!
My question is how do I pass the countryID and the translationLanguageID to the Web Method GetTranslatedCountryName() from the DynamicPopulateExtender? Or even if there is a better way to achieve my task?

Is there a way that I can pass a JavaScript function into a page (from a database) to be run? Background info I have developed a metadata driven asp.net mvc web site (basically I change data in the db, and the pages get generated on the fly). Unfortunately I have one page that has some routing requirements (i.e. if you choose option 1, then hide item x) I could solve this by having a custom page, but it would be nice if I could come up with a more robust solution. So what I am thinking is that I can attach an onchange event handler (based on a metadata value), and then somehow have some code that is executed based on that onchange event.

It has a bunch of records with a view button to view the details of each record (which stays in the same newly opened window). I have a calendar in the parent window that accepts a Date querystring parameter to set the current date on the calendar at page load. I'm just trying to refresh the calendar in the parent window to match the date of the label in the newly opened window. All the code below is in the newly opened window. The .Net code-behind below refers to when that view button is clicked and everything is populated. At the end, I call the js to refresh the parent window and pass the value of the LabelScheduleDate as the querystring parameter. Now the label comes through as '03/25/2010' in the code-behind, but when I pass it to the js, it comes through as '0.00005970149253731343' in the end querystring. I'm not really sure what is making the value change, and I want to pass it as just text. Do I need to pass it as a string object? I tried but I don't think I was doing it right.

I have a repeater that I have bound to a sql reader via my code behind page.
However I can't figure out how to populate the controls in my repeater in my code behind code.
At the moment I am having to specify the database field e.g productprice with the control in the .aspx page like this

I would rather specify fields in my code behind than embedding them in the .aspx page.
I also have a subtotal label control in my repeater that I would like to populate its text property by mutiplying two of the database values e.g productprice * unitprice shown in my repeater.
I need to do this in code behind, looping through the repeater. Any idea of how I can do this in C#?
i have one scenario in which i have to pass values from one page to another for that currently i am using querystring but now the values are more so i want to remove querystring and i dont want to user session as well and so i have tried using Hiddenfields but after redirecting to another page the values are cleared from all the hidden fields.

I guarantee the title of my thread does not explain what I am looking for, but I just can't think of a better way to word it. What I have right now is an application that the user can add, search, and update various orders in the System. I've been working on the front end page, and wanted to display a summary of all orders performed this month. Right now the Orders are represented as labels (based on data pulled from the database). What i'd like to do is replace these labels with hyperlinks. I was hoping that by doing that I could somehow write some code so that when an order is clicked that the user is taken directly to the search page and that order is displayed.
