I have a popup window where i store an a arraylist in sessionvariable, when clicking on closebutton (the X in the right top corner) or the cmd input button in the form i want to remove the sessionvariable containing my arraylist. How can i do this?
The popup window is currently closed by a javascript:

I have been spending a better part of a week trying to track down why I am not able to clear all session variables in a web app (vs 2010, vb.net). What I have tracked it down to is that when I remove or abandon sessions that my html pages or codebehind access, it works, but for some reason in any of my class files where I use "Public Shared strConnection as String = HttpContext.Current.Session("strConnection").ToString" to access a session variable, it finds the old one and not the current one. I have to wait for it to time out, go in again, and it will find the new one.
I do not use Linq, and there is only one place in the whole web app that I place the connection string in a variable whcih is when a person logs in. It points them to the correct database. The sqlconnection is set for all of my listviews in Page_Init to make sure that they aren't using any session variable that they create on their own. Interestingly enough that if I use debug to go in each time, exit debug, enter debug again trying to access a different database, it works correct each time. I assume that debug is correctly killing the session variable for the classes for me.
I want the code for showing popup dialog box , to show the time remaining for session closing because of in-activity. and 2 buttons for allowing to stay or to signout.

I have a web page (aaaaaa.aspx) which opens a popup window (bbbbbb.aspx). From the popup window vb.net code, I do a Response.Redirect("cccccc.aspx") to another page. On this page I have a button and when I click it, I want to close this page (cccccc.aspx) and refresh the original page (aaaaaa.aspx) so that the changes can be seen. Presently, the page cccccc.aspx close but the original page (aaaaaa.aspx) does not refresh. Normally this works fine with just a popup window. But the response.redirect is what messing me up, I think. I did not write this code but just trying to make it work. Here is the code I am using in the button_click event of page cccccc.aspx:

I have wrapped second user control(uc2.ascx) as a DIV in first user control(uc1.ascx), to populate uc2.ascx as a JQUERY modal popup. I have created a Webpart(class file) where I specifed the first user control path. Now in an aspx page, I have added this webpart as a webpart zone. The syntax loks somethng like this.

In my first user control(uc1.ascx), I have gridview. Now when I clik on a button in a webpart, a JQuery modal popup comes where I fill the details and after saving the details, the popup closes. But the webpart is not refreshed due to which I am not able to get the updated data in the grid view.
How can I refresh a particular webpart when I have multiple webparts in the same page in order to get updated data?
I want to show a popup about browser compatibility to the users visiting my website. I have used the popup in about 5 pages and it would be annoying for the users to see the same popup for more than once when they visit my website. So I am thinking to use a session and kill it when the user closes the poup. IT should not be shown until the browser is restarted.

The session data needs to be cleared as it may at times contain a very large dataset.
One implementation I have placed in at present is - placing a button "Close Button". When user clicks close button, I am able to clean up the session content as well as close the window.
The issue I am facing is to get the handle of the modeless window when it is closed using the x button. Also, since the pop up window is modeless, the user might have moved to another screen, henceforth the parent of the popup window is already changed or out of context.
How do we clear the sesssion content when the issue condition arises?
I'm using modal popup extender and panel with calendar in it. Click the "Next / Previous Month" closes the modal popup. How do I tell the modal popup to ignore click events in a calendar control inside the panel targeted for popup? I'm confused because when using extender before, you had to click OkButton or Cancel to close popup. I have update panel for reason. I just minimized the code for easy review.

Currently in an .aspx file, I am storing a value (filename that was created in that session) in an hidden text box. When the user clicks on the "Print" labeled Hyperlink control, it opens the file that was stored in the hidden text box control. But when the user goes to different screen (in the same session), I loose the filename value that is stored in the hidden text box control. So I would like to store the filename variable in a session variable. So that if the user leaves this .aspx file and comes back to this .aspx file I can load the value into the hidden text box from the session variable.

I need to be able to flag ANY PartyId input field with class="PartyLookup" so that it will modify the DOM and include the image next to the input field. The popup window returns data to populate both the hidden and text fields, but since the click() is generic I need to pass it the ID of the input field.
I am trying to return true or false from popup window to the parent window. Actually the parent window has a button control, which on click popup another window. The popup window holds some emailing data and a button "send". This "send" button onclick send email. Now I want to return true if the email is successfully sent otherwise false, to the parent window. Depending on returning value a label present on parent window displays a text message. But I am not able to implement it. Because it might happen that the popup window is blocked by web-browsers popup blocker or popup window is accidentally closed by user. So how can I confirm to parent window whether or not the email is successfully sent?

1) using Sessions("")
or
2)passing the variables as parameteres:

I don't know if it's appropiated passing 8 or 10 variables as the option2 because the user will see a very long url with all the variables, but maybe is more efficient than using Sessions.... Anyway, could somebody clear me up?
I am using a master page in my project. I opened a popup window from content page. What I want to do is, when I close the popup window, the data in the textbox available in popup should be assigned to a text box in parent form. I have created a modal popup form using the controls in Ajax Control toolkit. I have a main form, say A. and there is a button NEW on it. On clicking the button NEW, the modal popup shows up. This part, i was able to do it without problem. Now on my Popup form, say form B ...I have a tabContainer with 3 tabPanels. On each Panel, there is a NEXT button ...After filling in certain details on a tabPanel, the user clicks on NEXT to move to the next panel where he is required to fill in details. Furthermore on the Popup form , i have a CLOSE button. The issue is that all the buttons on the form , that is the NEXT button on the tabContainer and the CLOSE button, they are ALL acting as close button for the Modal Popup.
I want only the CLOSE button be the one which will close down the Popup form. I have tried to specify the CancelControlID="Closebutton" but it still does not work. All the buttons are closing the form. Can anyone clarify why am having such issue. Is it something to do with POstbacks? I really need some urgent solution for this...
