I need to assign the value to the form controls inside the method. For this i'm pasing the form as a parameter and by looping this form i'm getting and assigning the value to each control like the following,
UpdateControls(Me) Public Sub UpdateControls(ByVal frm As Form) For Each ctl As Control In frm.Controls 'here i'm getting all controls Next End Sub
i'm able to get all the controls but not tooltip, How can i get the tooltip control of the form in above method?
I have an load of images on my form with the purpose that if the user holds the mouse on it, (s)he gets a tooltip with some information. The image is a questionmark. The users are now asking if the duration of this tooltip can be extended so they actually can read all of the tekst. So it would be great if a TooltipExtender could be created that can be connected to a image control (or any other)
When the mouse pointer on the image to appear "tooltip" (panel with id = "tooltip"), whose content should be dynamically (using funds asp.net 3.5 ajax) load from the server.how to do it without third-party libraries

My goal is to extend the display time of the tooltip of a web control (say a label) since it disappears too fast (the tooltip is simply flicking and is very hard to read). But it looks like there is no available property that I can set to extend its show time. note that it is web application. And also having a transparent image over the label control and using the image title to mimic as tooltip is not appropriate in this case since there are too many labels (and other controls) that require the tooltips and lots of useless images will dramatically slow down the page display time.
How to get rid-off ToolTip showing when people hover over menu items in asp:menu navigation control? The ToolTip itself covers pop-out sub-menu and very irritating. ToolTip actually displays "description" from Web.sitemap. I thought to delete "description", but that would be nice to have for asp:SiteMapPath.
I am a tech writer and am working in visual studio creating tooltips for an ERP site. Originally we were using the Jquery tools from flow player[URL] but these did not agree with our asp elements. Specifically the drop down and check boxes. It also caused odd display features with our buttons. On one page the display looked great until an autogenerate button was pushed. Then, all of the formatting went away. So my question is, is there something else that's free that can allow me to style my tooltips and work well with ajax?
I am trying to write an ajax based tooltip for a website. The JS file searches the html page for certain keywords, which are fetched from an xml file. The keywords are searched using searchhighlight Jquery plugin. Then I use ajax to fetch the description of that keyword (or help) from aspx file(which just parses the xml doc for description of keyword)
I have been able to do everything except position the call to my mousehover functions. What has been happening is, when I hover over the first word, the tooltip gets displayed properly, but when I go over to the next word, the first tooltip gets displayed for a split second before the new tooltip loads. how to resolve the issue and make my code run smoothly? Here is the js file:
I started using the awesome chart controls with my asp.net apps recently and so far they've been nothing short of breath taking. Right now I have a weird problem, on the first load of my page, the chart control appears correctly and the tooltip is correct, however, when I update it with new data, the chart displays correctly, but the tooltips are for the previous set of data.
I hope this makes sense. The first time I load the chart, the pie chart segments and tooltips are correct, after a partial postback (to get the new data), the pie chart segments are correct but the tooltips are for the previous data set.
Basically once the tooltips are set the first time, they can't be updated after that without a full page postback.
Here's how I set the tooltip:
[Code]....
Anyone else noticed this behaviour and have a work around?
Currently my only workaround is to check for a partial postback and not render the tooltip, which I'd rather not do as the tooltip display actual statistical data as opposed to the pie itself (which uses percentages).
When using the core ASP.NET 3.5 (w/ Ajax), is it possible to include a LinkButton in a tooltip?
Unfortunately, these tooltips are generated on-the-fly within a GridView to display custom data from each row. Tooltips are currently showing using jQuery.
So,I don't know how to add a LinkButton (for a "Modify" action) to call a method on code-behind.
I want to write a program to click a button to save a record. A confirmation window will show up before the record actually save to database. Once confirmed, it will show a modal popup. Here is the code:
[Code]....
The problem is, the Modal Popup shows up before the confirmation windows. Is there any way to control the execution sequence of AJAX controls?
How to create a tooltip on mouse over in asp.net or javascript?I have a button control search. while i mouse over in the button it shows please search message in tooltip.
Is there any jquery tooltip plugin that allows to write some values in popup bubble and save that value in DB via AJAX?!It should also be able to display values from DB
I have around 60 controls and I want to show a tooltip for each of them.I could do this manually but I want something that would allow me to make changes to the tooltip messages or the control they are bound to without modyfing the code (I don't know what this would be called).I thought about XML, but is there a better to store simple data like this?
