How To View Result Of Method In Listview In C#

I build website with asp.net and c# .I have the following method
public List<string> GetAllNameDoc(List<int> ids)
{
List<string> Names = new List<string>();
foreach (int r in ids)
Names.Add(GetNameDoc(r));
return Names;
}
I want to view the result of this method in DataList or Listview or Gridview component.MayBe the Kind of data source of component is object But the problem How can I pass the parameter "ids" into these comonents. I try
DataList1.DataSource = GetAllNameDoc(ids);
DataList1.DataBind();
but it is not work.

I have a listview. Inside the EditItemTemplate of this listiview I want to show a Checkboxlist that has 5 checkboxes; S, M, L, XL, XXL. The values (checked / unchecked) of these checkboxes are dependent on a linq query. The linq query just retrieves the values from columns in a table. The columns are S, M, L, XL, XXL (same name as checkboxes for convenience) and all have datatypes bit. What I want now is to be able to databind this query result to this CheckBox list.

i have just found that i cant create postback triggers on the fly (i had a function that runs onclick that creates buttons and postback triggers)
so i need an alternative or a method to achieve this
what happens is onclick of a button, updatepanel1 is updateded and depending on what button you click in panel1 more buttons are added, these buttons that are added also have an oncllick event that should update a wysiwyg in panel2 with content

've created a Search partial view and it works, except for my view model. What i mean is, the partial view sends a string to my ActionResult Method, but only a string, that is not related to the view model that the partial view is built in. If i tell my ActionResult method to receive the view model in which the partial view is built in, it always tells me that i have null values. Here's my code This is my partial view:

I have two tables: Projects and ProjectsData and I want to execute query with join and get the result in the View. In the Controller I have this code:
ViewBag.projectsData = (from pd in db.ProjectsData
join p in db.Projects on pd.ProjectId equals p.ID
where pd.UserName == this.HttpContext.User.Identity.Name
orderby p.Name, p.ProjectNo
select new { ProjectData = pd, Project = p });
What I should use in the View to extract this data. I tried that:
@foreach (var item in ViewBag.projectsData)

}
but it doesn't work.

I want to get data from Projects(which have CourseId) and related CourseName from Courses table.
I have written following code:

join c in db.Courses on n.CourseId equals c.ID
orderby n.Name

return View(projects.ToList());
and I get error:
The model item passed into the dictionary is of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List1[<>f__AnonymousType22[ProjectManager.Models.Project,ProjectManager.Models.Course]]', but this dictionary requires a model item of type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[ProjectManager.Models.Project]'.
What I need to do in Controller and in View to display this data?

The application works, but I would like to have 10 results per page. How easily can this be done? I don't want to use data view or grid view like most of the examples talk about, I would like to do this in the fashion that looks like what I have now, only not so many entries in a whole page.

I have page A.aspx where I show some result in listview. When I click On Some data on listview I go to page B.aspx. Now the problem is when I click on back in page B.aspx it comes to A.aspx with out previous listview result. Ack requirement is when I come to page A.aspx result of listview has to be there. I have a listview that is showing its result by using a linq query. The linq query goes like this.

* db.Varer: Varer is a table that contains basic product information like proudct name, product nr. etc. ** a.fk_kategori_id == CatParamId : I'm just saying limit the result according to the Category ID (a.fk_kategori_id). The category id is coming from a dropdownlist (CatParamID) *** Join: Besides the Varer (Product) table I also have another table, Sizes. This Sizes table contains 6 columns (ID_Sizes (int) primary key and the columns: OneSize, S, M, L, XL, XXL all are bit (true or false)). There is a relationship between Varer table and Sizes table. It says that I can only insert a value into the "fk_sizes_id - column" of varer table if that value already exists as primary key within the Sizes table. **** I'm starting by picking basic product values like productId, ProductName etc from the Varer (a) table ***** Then I'm picking the corresponding Sizes values (onesize, s, m, ...) from the Sizes table. Now within my ListView I'm showing the above result by using Eval, like this.

I finished NerdDinner tutorial and now I'm playing a bit with project. Index page shows all upcoming dinners:

In DinnerRepository class I have method FindAllDinners and I would like to add to above Index method number of all dinners, something like this:

i have created a controller method that just update a record in the database.
and i call this method using the following code

but the problem is that when i click on the Perform Link an error will be raised indicating that it can not find the Calculate view.
so how i can enforce my application to call the Calculate controller method to perform the update and to keep the user in the current page .(the index page).
