I'm doing a postback to generate a chart. When the user clicks the button it is using jQuery to add some html to the page to show an animated gif and an overlay.
This works fine in IE and FF but in Chrome the image doesn't load. Anybody know what's going on here?
While looking into the problem I noticed that if I run this code in the JavaScript console it works, and it will work as expected after running it in the console (displays image on postback).
After the implementation of ajax drag and drop, we have observed that which is working fine in IE and Firefox and not in chrome and safari, In Google chrome and Safari when we try to drag a module, the page getting scrolling to the top of the page.
The title says it all. After a lot of problems with a simple app we use at my workplace, I decided to redo the app again for .NET4 and add some refactoring.
Upon uploading said app, the website runs well on the local host in iis 7.5 Windows server 2008 r2. But when I try to access it on remote machines the server lists a runtime error.
Well I am having a problem when I have put my .NET 2.0 web site on IIS 6. I have used UrlMapping to redirect some old urls. It is working fine when I am using it on the VS local server port but when I deploy it to IIS 6, its giving a 404 Page not found error.
I've found that in a few forums they are talking about using Wildcard Mapping, but none of them provide me with a good explanation of how to achieve this. Added to this, what are the security risks of doing such a modification on IIS Level (if there are any?)
I have created a we app. using win authentication. When type the server ip addres in chrome I get the login window and it works just fine with my organizations credentials, however when doing the same using Internet Explorer I have to login with the server credentials as my account is not valid.
I am working on ASP.NET Ajax site. Application is working fine when I run in my local machine, but same code if I place in Server then it is giving "SpanID is undefined" Javascript error. I found error is due to UI.dll file.
I am creating one of my first Asp.Net tools and I ran in to a small bump. Currently I am doing a postback on a buttonclick which does some server-side calculations. The server-side code then uses those calculations to alter the contents of a div. In IE and Firefox when a postback happens, the div updates as expected. However, in chrome all postbacks do a complete refresh of the entire page. What is causing this and is there a way around this behavior?
Update: ClientSide I have the following.. <asp:Button ID="Button2" Style="float: right" runat="server" OnClick="S_ButtonClick" Text="Calculate" />
It is possible that when this postback(if I understand this correctly) happens, that it is still fully reloading in firefox and ie, but it doesn't show it. This effectively masks the postback. However, when I test in chrome, any postback completely blanks the page before reloading the state. Hopefully this clears up exactly what I am asking. Also, my C#/.Net usage might be slightly flawed and I am willing to take comments on such.
I am new to this forums.I am using the Google Chart API to show the chart on the page on the drop down selection. This is working fine in IE but not in firefox 3.6 with update panel. When I remove the update panel then this is working fine in all browsers but if I use update panel on the page then chart is disappering after changing the selection of drop down. It seems that google chart is not compatible with update panel.
My code is something like this. Please suggest where I am doing wrong.
I have a GridView in which I have item,Edit ,Footer and Empty Item Template , and also a hovermenuextender to show Edit/Delete link on row hover. when my page opens if it doesn't have any data it show empty row , when user enters data and click on Add button it save's the data and load the grid. All works fine in IE and firefox but not in google Chrome.
After saving data in chrome all links stop working , but when i reload the page it workes fine if i remove the hovermenuextender it works fine in chrome also, So i think hovermenuextender creating problem in chrome when it's added at runtime(if empty grid comes hovermenuextender will be added after data saved)
The code works accross all browsers but Google Chrome. My IDE is Visual Studio 2k8, and I haven't figured out how to debug on Google Chrome with it, however, I am throwing error messages, and I know that for some reason under chrome, the following check doesn't pass: [Code]....
So apparently, under Chrome, the HttpPostedFileBase parameter picture isn't encoded right and loses its mime type, howwever, this might not be the only problem. What is excatly wrong with the HttpPostedFileBase parameter under Chrome, and how can I fix it?
I want to open a popupwindow (with close button only) when the user clicks a button and the parent window should be disabled until the popup window closed. For that I'm using the following code
function popup_window(url) { popupwin = window.showModalDialog(url,null,'height=20,width=150,status=no,resizable=no,scrollbars=no,toolbar=no,location=no,menubar=no'); }
Anyhow, this code is working perfectly in IE. But, I hav two problems. In firefox, it is not opening with the size I've mentioned in the script. It is opening in full size. And In Google Chrome, parent window is not getting disabled.
My application is working fine in local environment but not working after push code in live. My locale environment and hosting environment both are having same configuration. Same app working fine 2 month before but in different domain but same hosting server.

I don't know why session got time frequently, but this issue not happening in local environment (desktop).

I am a complete novice at this stuff, but i have been asked to investigate why the menus on our web site might not be working properly when vied in IE8 or Google Chrome. The site was built in Visual Web Developer 2008 Express edition, could this be the problem? If so is there a way around it without having to upgrade to VWD 2010?
