I was browsing the net a week ago and now I cannot find the coolest menu I've ever seen. I can only describe it the best I can...
I know that it is a jQuery plugin, just don't know the name of it. It uses a left and right arrow to browse through a list of items, the item in the center is large, and all the items around it are smaller and somewhat transparent. When you click the arrow, the item to the left or right of center transitions into the center, and the rest of items rotate backward, in a circular motion. It is similar to a carousel, but the items are arranage in an oval/circular manner, and clicking the arrows left or right slide the next item to the center and make it larger.
If anyone knows what I am talking about that would be such a huge help!
Also, I am looking for a way to make a div with rounded corners with about a 10px transparent edge all the way around, but not transparent for the content inside the div.
I know this is a pretty basic question, but I don't know how to articulate what I want into a Google search to solve my problem.
I am working on a website for a Non-profit, and I am currently using Jquery and CSS to create a dynamic dropdown navigation bar. The code + examples can be found here: [URL]
The Nav menu works great, however when the elements expand, the new content forces the rest of the content on the page to move down and it messes up the entire formatting of the site. Most websites usually just have the Nav bar elements expand OVER the rest of the page without modifying locations...
I have this menu which has z-index of 600.I also use autocomplete, and I set the zIndex option to 700, I also tried setting the z-index in the css file, but no matter what i do, the ul list the autocomplete script generats always has z-index of 1.
this is what i see when i "inspect element" using chrome(the results ul):
[Code]....
no css alteration will help there, since its written into the style attribute of the ul element, and the zIndex option of autocomplete seems to do nothing also.for now, i can handle it by simply setting the z-index of the menu to 0, but thats a realy dirty workaround since i do want to control the z index of the autocomplete results ul.
I have ContentView which has 'Table of Contents' and another view (DescriptionView) which has the total description of these contents. Each content description in DescriptionView is in different sections and I have implemented accordion to manage this.

When I click on each content in ContentView I navigate to that particular section in the DescriptionView by the of the anchor tag which i specify in the url. My issue is I am not able to open that section which will be hided using accordion. Hope am successful in explaining my query.

I'm looking for a good jQuery or CSS, or combo, library to enance my left side menu in an an intranet application. I don't like the 'hover only' expand/collapse style of the ASP.NET Menu control on its own, and I don't like the 'icon-click only' expand/collapse style of the TreeView control on its own.
I plan on trying the CSS Control Adapters, to render the menu with some self-respect, i.e. as nested <ul> or <ol> elements instead of the usual orgy of tables. Beyond that, I need something to give a bit of style and menulike behaviour to these nested lists, and I would prefer a jQuery plugin for this. Which should I use?
How can you perform page navigation with Jquery tabs without the ajax events firing? Following the tutorial, I added
$("#tabs").tabs({ select: function (event, ui) { var url = $.data(ui.tab, 'load.tabs'); if (url) { location.href = url; return false; } return true; } });
And I added hrefs to the tabs going to other pages. The problem is, I have ajax used on the page and onload it posts to the url with an ajax call. I was hoping to disable ajax altogether for the tabs and just use them for straight navigation so I can leverage the styles.
I am trying to implement dropline menu using asp.net menu control. I found JQuery dropline code @ Dynamic Drive & currently using CssFriendly Adapters to get neet CSS, but i am unable to implement it as menu control renders its own css names.
I'm using asp.net and css to style a master page with navigation at the top. I was hoping to add the login status control in as a menu item but it is not allowed. Can someone point me in the right direction? When I post my code on this forum do I have to include tags?

I've buit a menu functionallity in my MVC app where you can add/remove and modify navigation items:
this is what it looks like in the database (the key thing to notice here is URL field where i'm storing all Area/Controller/Action/Param values.
Now, on the front end I would like to built <UL><LI> menu from the db.
How would I know what page I'm on so that I can add class "current" to <li>. If for example I'm in "http://localhost/Admin/Admins/Dashboard" how would i know it applies to /Admin/Dashboard AND /Admin/Dashboard/Index?
-another thing. how would i handle params. For example when I'm on page /Admins/ContactUs/Edit/32 - how would i match this to /Admin/ContactUs/Edit/ ?
I am using asp.net sitemap with the in-built asp.net menu but this is very 'dull'. I want to apply CSS and jQuery to give it a better visual look and feel. I have read various articles based on[URL] However, i really liked

have a contentEditable div with following text for example:
[Code]....
Now for example if user clicks on 'm' in word document I want to show a context menu containing few text choices. That context menu will be contained in a div element. I want to replace the word "document" with the option(text) selected by user from context menu. In my view I have to find absolute position of click to show context menu and then I have to find space elements before and after the caret position and then replace the selection with option selected from context menu. how I can do it using JavaScript and jQuery? one part of my question is about context menu and other the more important is how i can detect the word on wchich user has clicked on in contentEditable div or in text area on the other hand.

I have integrated ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC to work together in a single project. here i have to use some controls in common, like: MENU control. These menu's must populate dynamically from the database. Is it possible to create menu's in div by populating the details from the database with the help of jQuery?
How to create common menu control for ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC?
What is the best solution for implementing JavaScript drop-down menu in the Asp.Net website? Is it better to use some plugin (jQuery for example) or some "Menu generator"?
