View 3 RepliesI have a gridview which right now is getting loaded with four pages of data. There are 50 rows per page. My problem is I need the "select all" button on my page to select 180 rows, not just the 50 on the page. This is my javascript:
Code:
function sel() {
var frm = document.forms[0];
isSelected = !isSelected;
for (var i = 0; i < frm.elements.length; i++) {
var e = frm.elements[i];
if (e.type == 'checkbox' && e.name.indexOf("ckSelected") > -1)
e.checked = isSelected;
}
}
I am more a C# person than javascript, but I am deducing that I need something other than document.forms[0] to represent the entire gridview. Or perhaps, I can't do this in javascript at all. Do I need server code to run and set a session variable, then when the user clicks the button to do something with all his selected rows (it goes to a detail page), query that session variable to see if it's all rows instead of iterating through each gridview row individually to see if the checkbox is checked?
I've just started developing a web site in VS 2008. When I try and view the page (click 'start debugging') an IE window pops up displaying a directory listing of all the files in my web application directory rather than my masterpage or content. Why is this and how can I correct it?
View 2 RepliesI have a gridview with paging, which displays 5 records in each page.
How can I sort the elements of the current page only?
And other pages should not be sort?
I am using ASP.NET and C#.NET.
Is there any way to do this in LINQ?
i had button under gridview
and sending value to another page here i could not get the second row column . It is taking only
1st row column only, check below code
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False"
ToolTip="M8 Media Educational Directory" GridLines="None"
>
<Columns> <asp:TemplateField >
[Code]....
when i click the picture that is displayed in the detailsView ImageField, the jquery lightbox pops up, but does not show the picture. it shows a red x in the middle of the lightbox. the same thing happens with the asp:Image control shown in the code below. The picture is stored in a SQL database Image datatype. Using master pages.

Is it possible to display a tabcontainer's tabpanels on two or more rows instead of just one? I have a problem that my tabcontainer's tabpanels push over the edge of the page.
View 2 RepliesI am having a problem. I need to check to see if a row has been displayed once, and if so don't display it again. I have the following code:
[Code]....
This all works perfectly, but displays the body row repeatedly. So i need to add a counter or something to check this and make sure it is only displayed once..
I tried with DISTINCT in the sql but that didn't work, so i think it may be better doing it through iteration? Can this be done?
How to control the number of displayed rows in a grid? Which property to change?
View 2 RepliesI have a MasterPage and a ContentPage. On the ContentPage I Similated a TabControl by using a Menu and an IFrame. When the menu item is seleceted it loads in the appropriate WebPage into the IFrame. Now... on one of the WebPages I am creating dynamic controls on Page_Load. But when I refresh or switch menu (Simulated TabControl) back and forth, then I lose my controls and values.

View 3 RepliesI have an Access db on webserver. In my ASP webpage I need to return the sum of rows which match criteria.

strSQL = "Select * from tblApplicantCreditors where ApplicantID = '" & strApplicantID & "'"
I'm looking for a jquery animation which will look like :
Two columns, first one with titles and a second one which take the whole height of the first column in one cell showing the text.
And passing hover title it shows relative text.
so something like:
|Title 1|A long text here |
|Title 2|which depend of |
|Title 3|the title passed |
|Title 4|hover!! |
|Title 5| |
I have a gridview with 3 columns. In second column I want to display some text in 2 rows and then a gridview.
Here is my code:

The problem is my third row is displayed as a row under first column. How do I make it a separate column in my girdview. Not sure what is going wrong.

I've got a page with a repeater and a bunch of documents that should be hidden to start and then shown with a plus sign next to each.My question is - do I have to assign unique ID to each document DIV to make it be able to toggle hidden and shown?
View 4 RepliesI am having weird display issues using the jQuery dialog with an iframe in Firefox and IE8.
I have tested the page itself outside of the iframe and the problems are not reproduced, only when inside of the jQuery dialog.
Issue,image actual size: 300x225 image display size: 400x300
JS Code - Parent Page
$(document).ready(function() {
var img = $('.photoLink');
var imgSrc = img.attr('src'); [code]....
The class of the image is set dynamically based on image dimensions.
The image path is set in the code behind, no styling or resizing done.
The images are resized upon upload to be no larger than 300x300.
Display is correct in Chrome and Safari, but in IE and FF for some reason it enlarges the image.

I've got a Varchar2 field in my table which I want to convert to a CLOB. I am unsure whether the data would get truncated when selected. If so, what is the limit and does it depend on the database settings?
In my TOAD or SQLPLUS window it gets truncated but this may just be the environment settings. I'm not sure whether it would get truncated in my actual application (I can test this, but up to what size should I test?)
If it does get truncated, what's the best way to display the whole CLOB? There are other fields in my SELECT query, so I think I can't just loop through multiple rows. Is there any way out?
I have written a web application in ASP.net, Vs2010. This application has master page. That master page is applied to all pages. If I write some JQuery code on these pages, they don't work out. However if I shift that code to Site.Master Page, it starts working. e.g. code mentioned below will not work on default.aspx, however it will work on Site.Master.
$(function () {
$("#accordion").accordion();
});
Just having a start with JQuery, I have a webform where there is a
Drop down list with numbers numbers 1,2,3 as items A gridview on the form (with text boxes on each row for taking inputs) If user selects 2 in dropdown list, 2 rows get added to the gridview with a textbox on each row
Currently I'm doing this with UpdatePanel & gridview server side. How do I do this with JQuery ?
Should I skip the gridview altogether and just drop a table on my webform & add rows to it via JQuery ?
How would I add the server side textboxes on each row ? Is there an easy alternate.
I am working on having the following functionality for my mvc website. I want to have, for example 5 selected users voting on some question. When a user has voted, they will remain in a 'waiting' state until everyone has answered. Once those 5 users have answered, the page would autorefresh and I can populate the next question.
My basic thinking is that I need something like the following pseudocode to execute every so often (say 10 seconds) to check the status, possibly in jquery... then my controller can populate the next question.
while(condition not met) { } //wait
refresh()
Is there any simple way to fulfil this functionality?
I have been adding different JQuery Carousels to AJAX Tabbed Panels - the first one displayed on the page always works. But any other tabs dont work when I select the tab. I have about a dozen different carousels.
Can anyone recommend one that works in AJAX Tabs or how I can go about rectifying this?
I am using jquery to move gridview rows up and down using mouse drag and drop.
