i am having 2 textboxes on a form. What i need is if i enter some data in the first text box the same text should be displayed at the time i typed which means
if in the first text box i enter A the same text should be displayed automatically in the 2nd textbox.
Any one has got a working example for the OnHoverOver and OnHoverOut animations ?I have tried one but it's not perfectly working, as I don't know how to change the position of the Popup panel or resize it !! and I still can see a grey shadow before my popup panel appears..it's weird... Here is my code :
when i click the picture that is displayed in the detailsView ImageField, the jquery lightbox pops up, but does not show the picture. it shows a red x in the middle of the lightbox. the same thing happens with the asp:Image control shown in the code below. The picture is stored in a SQL database Image datatype. Using master pages.
I have a page that takes a long time to load because it utilizing multiple user controls. Is there a way where I can display a wait animation during the page loading utilizing JQuery? I'm a newbie to Jquery and client side development
I've had a look around to see if this has been answered, and there are many similiar questions here but none that match the problem I'm having, so here goes.
I have a jQuery animation that runs on all pages. It works fine on all pages except those with a .NET Update Panel. The items that are animated are not part of the Update Panel at all, they have nothing to do with it.
When I click on the button that triggers the animation in question, it doesn't do anything. It gets called alright (a quick alert("clicked!"); proved that) but it simply doesn't do anything. It sometimes looks as though it's trying, but failing, but there are no JavaScript errors reported.
From other similiar questions and answers here, people have suggested using jQuery's .live() and also the PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest() but none of these are valid here, as the items are outside of the Update Panel. (I've also given them a try, just in case!)
it appears that clicking the button that causes the animation is actually causing the update panel to reload, am not sure why as they're all set to conditional and have triggers associated with them.
I have a slide in div to display some dynamic data after button submit in it. If you open the div after page load it displays with message "Click on button".
But after submitting the slide effects stops immediately and not responding at all & even message is not updating in jquery slide box. Below is my code:
Public result As String = "" Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load If Not Page.IsPostBack Then result = "Click on button"
there are animation effect to controls onload , onmouseover, onclick ...... but i can't find method to give animation effect to a label ontextchanged .
how to do this. I have asp.net page left side tab container each tab panel have options to procede a quotation when clicking radio buttons or check boxes right side panel gives quotation, and change total price on label.
I could give animationextender for each radiobuttons or check box control and give animation effect to label.
but this is a pain, any body know how to write code to give animation effect atleast change color of label text with out using 10 or 15 animation extenders.
I need to have a stack of 10 text lines, possibly div's, and insert a line arbitrarily somehere in the list. In addition I'd like to fade in a highlight (for the new line) and fade out.Is MSFT AJAX the correct tool to use for this?
in my first page some links is present like as follows: advertising. when i click this link the text of hyperlink means advertising display in a textbox which is present in another page.
I have converted text to Image(.png) using ASP.NET C# in Visual Studio 2010. But the image created cannot be displayed in the browser after submitting and it shows an message The image "http://localhost:49670/WebSite1/Default.aspx" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.During debugging there is no error or warning or anything like that. How can I resolve this?
There are many rows which are displayed in webpage, when user clicks on Name of the user.. a dialog box should open and it should display that user name...
I'm sure you've seen sites that display a portion of the available text in a limited space followed by an ellipsis or a [more] link. That's what I need to do. The text is in a database field, and includes carriage returns and line feeds. I can't just count the number of characters. How can I only display the text that will fit in a defined space? I've tried using a panel control with the height defined. I've also tried a div with the height defined. Neither has worked. How is this done?
I have a page that, jQuery will automatically click the "Run Report" button under certain conditions. So, when the user goes to the page via the menu, they wait for x seconds and the results are returned. This works great...However, I want to add an animation because some users are not aware anything is going on and I also would like to just show a spinner. The application is not yet "Ajaxified" and may never be. So I thought of a poor-mans way of doing it.I have a div that has text and an image in it. That div has a class on that that simply does display: none; The same jQuery that clicks the button I also have it using the .toggleClass method to now Show the div.
This works great AND the report runs and eventually returns the data and since at that point the page is refreshed, the div gets hidden again and all is right in the world. My problem is, the image shows but does not animate. I tried to put it Before the click hoping that would happen and start its thing Then the click even to start the waiting would occur. Is there anything I can do to force the Gif to animate?
I have a grid bounded to a datatable. Suppose the data for a column is like this "New Task 12:45AM-01:00AM Testing" . I need it displayed in a single row of the column. But it is wrapped to next row and subsequent row whenever space is encountered (If I give without space like this NewTask12:45AM-01:00AM then it is possible. I tried for ItemStyle-Wrap='false" not working for my scenario... Is there anyway out to solve this issue.
I'm trying to user ValidatorCalloutExtender on my login page but I'm having some trouble with it. I have two TextBoxes, two RequiredFieldValidators and two ValidatorCalloutExtenders. Here's my page's code:
[Code]....
So, my problem is quite simple, I guess. When the user press "ButtonLogin", the first ValidatorCallout is displayed requesting that the user enter his username. The validation text for the password field isn't displayed. If I enter the username and then try to post the form again, the validation text for the password isn't displayed at all. The text is displayed only after I click on TextBoxPassword. Is there any way to solve this? If I wasn't using ValidatorCalloutExtender, text for both validators would be displayed. So, I'm guessing that internally both validators actually trigger. The second isn't displayed because the first one is already been displayed. But even after entering text on the first textbox, the text doesn't come up. I believe it's still thinking that the first validator is been displayed.
I am generating a list of labels with an Image Button control at the start of each line. Unfortunately, my browser displays this list on a web page with the image higher than the label text by a few pixels. This results in a blank line of a few pixels wide between each line of text. Even the image has a blank line above it. This especially puzzles me since I went to the trouble of specifying the height, in pixels, of the image and labels. Is there any way to make the image and text appear evenly on the same line?
where each entry has some HTML text and an associated Name and ID.
What I want to do in ASP.net C# is to list each of these entries on a page in such a way that the HTML text should be displayed exactly how it is meant to be (e.g. <b>test</b> should show 'test' in bold) and each entry should be editable. When the Edit button is clicked on an entry, the HTML text should be replaced by a textbox with the text inside it so that you can edit it and save it.
For example:
FOOTER --EditButton--
TEXT test
Now I am not sure on what is the best way to do this. Should I use a repeater with an ItemTemplate for each entry? If I use a repeater, and an edit button is clicked, how do I know which edit button is clicked and how do I know which textbox to display the text etc?
