JQuery :: Using Ajax Context - Access Microsoft Object
Dec 12, 2010
Currently i am developing ASP.NET AJAX server control in which i am using jquery code. Inside jquery event, i wish to access the microsoft ajax object. If it is not clear, find the below code example,
If i allow all users to access this folder or remove this web.config file, then the ajax toolkit works. I need to protect this folder and i am using form authentication. Could someone point me where i went wrong. Kindly keep in mind that i am new to asp.net.
I am using some AJAX and some JQuery for Login panel animation in Master page. Also in my home page I am using AJAX Tab container. It works fine when I run the application without login. If I logged in I got the following error when I put the breakpoint into my code,
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object,It shows at the following Line at the Home[dynamic] page.
I am new to jquery in asp.net mvc2 and was trying to implment a simple jquery function like a show() function on my system but it keeps giving me this error:
i am using urlrewritingnet for url rewriting. at one of my page i am using auto complete extender . it works fine for first page weirdly because also that page is getting url rewriting.
now let me explain you
my normal page is
domain/Pokedex.aspx
here what i do for url rewriting
[Code]....
ok now problem does not happen when i type this : domain/Pokedex.aspx. but i when i type this problem occurs : domain/Pokedex-2 which is equal to domain/Pokedex.aspx?page=2. here is the problem screen shot but when i type this problem does not happen : domain/Pokedex.aspx?page=2 so it is about url rewriting i guess
I have 4 file uploader in my form to upload 4 images in the DB for each article submitted. My issue when I want update/edit my article with some new pictures and I want delete or update the old pictures with the replacement with the new one.
How I can implement it? I am using ASP.NET based on VB.NOT .... NOT C#
I'm trying to pass a javascript object array back to a vb .asmx web service.
I can't even tell you how many different things I've tried, so i'm confused more than when I started. Below is an example of the client side code I am using.
[Code]....
I'm adding my script reference in my vb page as follows, and can access other web methods fine.
[Code]....
how to be able to access these objects within the web service method. I need to be able to iterate though all the people from the javascripts array so that I can do some other functions, such as validation, adding them to a database, etc.
I have a web Method in my C# that is called via Jquery ajax method. The web method should return an object back to the Jquery which will be used to populate. I have tried returning a JsonResult object, the actual object and nothing seems to work! I'm not using MVC (Unfortunately). Is there a way that I can return an object from my web method which can be used by my AJAX method? here is the link for my JQuery AJAX method [URL]
I already wrote Phil Haack about this issue, but got no reply yet. I think he is deep into work and got enough to do. So for the sake that this problem does not disappear I wrote a small sample and perhaps anyone of the MVC 3 team members reads along to check for it. My scenario I was testing is very common. A multilanguage website with a datepicker in a form. I prepared two files, one having jquery.validate.js included an one without. In the version with jquery.validate.js included the datepicker fails. Line 211 throws an error source.replace is not a function. I fixed it with wrapping if (typeof(source) == "string) { } around it. But none the less the formatting also fails. Instead of having the short date like "11/17/2010" I do have "Wed Nov 17 2010 00:00:00 GMT+0100" now, what actually means, the format function isn't working anymore, localization neither.[URL]
I'm creating a Page object and adding a control to it for printing purposes. The code works, however I can not find a way to add a stylesheet link to the header. In the code I pasted I'm trying to add a link to the header and then add the header control to the page, but this causes an error:
Request is not available in this context System.Web.UI.Page.get_Request() +8700216 System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlHead.RenderChildren(HtmlTextWriter writer) +83.....
I am trying to call web service from jquery..trying following way but i am not able to pass to complex type parameter to WCF service. My wcf function is as follows
<OperationContract()> <Web.WebGet(UriTemplate:="/GetData?strErrMsg={strErrMsg}&chrErrFlg={chrErrFlg}", ResponseFormat:=WebMessageFormat.Json, BodyStyle:=WebMessageBodyStyle.Wrapped)> _ Function GetData(ByRef strErrMsg As System.Collections.Generic.List(Of String), ByRef chrErrFlg As String) As String strErrMsg is System.Collections.Generic.List(Of String)
I am trying to call as follows
var Type; var Url; var Data; var ContentType; var DataType; var ProcessData; var parameters;
[code]...
And I am able to call other methods in same way having string and integer parameter.I have gone through this but didnt get anything. URL...
I have an object defined by my entity framework model that has navigation properties, but whenever the navigation property is null, entity framework seems to try to pull it down again from the database. This is fine for now and I can work on this problem later, but when it tries to get the navigation property from the database, I get the error from the model:The ObjectContext instance has been disposed and can no longer be used for operations that require a connection.
Well this isn't too good that it's blowing chunks like this. Is there anything I can do to ensure that this is only attempted when the context is still open?
I'm implementing a MessageEncoder as described at MSDN
Is there a way to access the request, channel, or operation context from a MessageEncoder? I want to be able to save data for C# code to access after deserialization.
