MVC :: Programmatically Creating List From Multi-Level Categories?

I have a multilevel Category Table, like so
CategoryID, CategoryName, ParentCategoryID, IsMainCategory
I want to be able to loop through all the categories starting with the Main Categories and then go all the way down for example I could have

I wanted to be able to loop through ALL categories in order like above programatically - This is how far I got

But I hit a stumbling block.. I just wanted to check I am tackling this the right way? Or is there something simple I'm missing?

I have a menu that looks like this:

Since I can search any of those categories, I'm looking for a more user-friendly way of displaying it as is without using a combobox and with no javascript. With the combobox, the deeper the menu, the more leading spaces it'll have. As seen above, that's exactly how it'd look like in a combobox.

Ques 1. I am pasting only excerpts of my panel code (limited length here) within which I have 3 levels. The collapsible panel works fine till level 2 but when I am clicking on level 3 it shows for a second and collapses back to level 2. The collapsible doesnt work on panel pnlUserAccess below.
Ques 2. Can I make collapsible panel work on particular button click or image click?. As when I just put to to 2 levels I have to edit within the gridview and as soon as I click on the checkbox to edit the panel collapses.. I need to just give it a tree view style of appearance.
Ques 3. Can I also make the collapsible panel enable on read mode and disable on edit mode (if there is no possiblity for Ques 2)how to make it work. Just to be more specific on the code.

I am stuck at this point "Displaying a dropdown list of Categories with a --None -- Option. I want the gridview control to display 2 dropdown list one in read-only mode and the other in edit mode. When a record is in read-only mode, the dropdownlist's enabled property will be set to false."When it's on a read-only mode, it doesn't display the selected Category. it shows but the "No Category". When i click on edit to edit or change category, it doesn't display the selected category.

This is just a glimpse at the object model, but it's focused on the complexity of the relationships and lists. What I can't really get is what's the best way to factor my repository interfaces, given the requirements to do a unit of work. For example, to create a game, you'll need a venuedate and two participants. Does that mean the GamesController should require an IGameRepository, an IVenueDateRepository, and an IParticipant repository? Should they be rolled into one repository?
Also, what about in the consumption cases? For example, to display a signle team's schedule, you'll need all of the Participants for that Team, all of the Games for that participant, and all of the GameSegments for the participant. If those are factored into individual repositories I can't see how you can do efficient queries. Does that mean you have Repositories specifically focused on different cases? for example:

I have a categories table which is set up to allow an infinite number of sub category levels. I would like to mimic the following:It should be clarified that sub categories can have sub categories. I have a ListView inside my UserControl which is showing a list of posts from the table named posts. I've also got a category table which is full of the categories. I then have another table which contains the PostID and the CategoryID so that posts can have multiple categories. I was wondering, in my ListView at the moment I only have a list of the posts but I would like to add, for every post in the listview, the cateogires it is in.

I have a repeater that displays a list of job openings. I now need to modify the repeater and break out the job openings by category.
See below for the existing code for my repeater. I'm not sure how I need to modify my repeater to display the jobs under the appropriate categories.
I've added a new JobsCategory table to the database and added the foreign key relationship between my jobListing table and the jobcategory table.
I've created a new stored procedure to pull the jobs my category:

The administrator is able to add categories in which the users can upload the documents. On the page where the documents are shown, they need to be shown under which category they are uploaded. All the info is stored in the database, I want to know how I can display that nicely. Categories and under each categories, files for that category.

Nested Repeater Issue: Each category list gets populated with the same set of date values rather then being populated with the data associated with that category. Trying to Do: Trying to group FAQ's by category and then list them using the repeaters.
The data is queryed though a business logic layer object that makes a call to the data access layer object. The data access layer object uses linq to sql to return data. There are 3 parameters that are passed into the innerDataSource's ObjectDataSource control to populate the nested repeater control (propID, CatID, isVisible).
With the debugger, the correct data is being returned and written to the nested repeater firing from the nested repeater's ItemDataBound event. Once this event is finished, another event fires and runs the FAQRule object again on the business logic layer which re-populates the nested repeater with the same data for each category. I have 2 repeaters, outerRepater (parent) and innerRepeater(child) with 2 ObjectDataSource controls innerDataSource and outerDataSource. See code below : ASP Page:

I want to create a three level menu, I have got a recursive function today that works with three levels. But the thing is how do i output the third lever? Using two repeaters i have managed to get a hold of the first two levels through the ChildNodes property. But that only gives me the second level. What if a want the third level? Example code below. How do i get the third level? :)

creating session object to use across my web application.
I'm working on an application that requires a login control upon which we would need to set around 10 different session variables (related to the user). These values are required/ used many times across the web application so it would be really handy to create a class/ object which can be accessed in all pages with doing multiple lookups into the user table on DB. Also, I would like to avoid any conflicts with multiple developers using same session variable names and thereby causing issues down the road.
I know this is not a new kind of request and must have been created and used by many of the developers.

As having all the different content all on differnt pages would make to many pages so i want it to just replace the content and use the same page. The content will be vb lables and checkboxes. Our current application is working fine but when you try to misbehave like we found out that When login with same user in multiple tab with different organization(there is a organization dropdown in the master page which sets the cookie whenever it is changed.) in tab one it is org 1 and tab 2 it is org2 , cookie has the later org 2 in it but when we go back in tab1(which had org1) and save the record org 2 will be saved with the record So can some one share some sort of a checklist with us which address these types of problem.

I am building a little app to upload a picture and various downloads for different file types for the photos, but I also need be able to select the catergory they will go into. So I have two tables one that stores the catergory names and one that holds the paths to the photos and downloads the tables are related through the catergoryID.
What I need is those catergories to show up in the photo's and downloads table so that when I go to upload the photos I will be able to select the categories.
I have also built the DataSet and the Business Logic.

What i have on my asp.net web page is a drop down list a add button and a mutiline text box, what I am trying to do is when user selcts a item from the drop down list it should populate in the multiline text box, I am able to achieve this partially with the multiline text box only showing the latest selection it does not remember the previous selection. what the best way to create text boxes in my loop here so that the IDs are unique instead of just "TextBox" for all of them. I need to add up the Price based on the Price per unit and the Quantity.
My items are loaded from a database so there could be any number of them, so I need to generate the fields on the fly. I was thinking maybe an array of fields could be used like in a form application, or is this not the right way to go?
