Feb 20, 2011I have a modal popup and the CSS prevents anything from being entered on the main page.
However, when I hit enter while the modal popup is displayed, a button on the main page is fired.
It seems to only happen if the button on the main part of the page is pushed down out of view so it is not currently on the screen.
How can I prevent a button on the main page from firing when the user hits enter?

Jan 29, 2011I've got my Controllers in its own project, my Models in their own projects, and the Main App in ITS own project, which contains the Views folder.
So when I open up my controller cs file and right click on, say for example, the Details action and choose "Add View", it creates a Views folder within my Controllers project, and adds the view there. I want it to add the view into the Views folder in my Main App project. How in the world do I do this?

AJAX :: Refresh Modal Popup Extender Each Time The Button Is Clicked?
Jan 5, 2011I have a user control and inside that user control I have a image button on whose click I am opening a modalpopup extender(which is another user control) I am populating all the values in drop down list and getting all the information i need on the form. The user and go and save the information required on that web form and clicking on cancel would exit the form which would bring the user back to the main user control.
The problems faced:
1.Problem 1: Not refreshing On clicking on tree view one of the nodes I am calling the reload function of parent user control as well as the user control present as popupextender. This click would refresh and fill in the values from the database for user to view and edit. Now when the user clicks on the image button another user control opens up where he can edit the entire values of the form and move back and forth in the records I have put update panels for every block and for the buttons. He can save the information. But when he exits and form and reopens it after a while the values of the form are retained the values which are not saved to the database but the ones which were selected so it is retaining them and not refreshing. How can I force the refresh everytime the button is clicked for modalpopup extender user control.
2. Problem 2 enable/disable buttons I am not able to enable and disable the buttons inside the extender the buttons are in the update panel as well as for the different sections of the form.

Jun 7, 2010I have the following code that I'm trying to get to work in a project. I've stepped into all of it and it executes in the correct order. The correct methods are called. The values that are passes are what they should be. I can't figure out why the modul pop extender doesn't open up with the details view in it though.
I have virtually the same code in another project and it works fine. I've compared the two but can't find the problem with it in this project.

Feb 9, 2010I have a grid view and a form view on one page. Using the form view to add data to a table that is presented by the grid view.
My problem is that when you hit insert the grid view does not refresh to show the new data. However it does do this on one computer in my company out of 150 total computers.
why it doesn't work on most all computers, or why it works on this one computer.
I have checked all the settings of this computer and ran reports, there are identical computers in the office that this feature does not work on.

Mar 18, 2010After wading through quite a few articles on creating modal forms (using partial views and jquery) I got things working fine for my login....as long as you enter a valid login though!
What I did:
Created a partial view containing my login form.
In my action controller, the get action just return a PartialViewResult, which get dealt with by a bit of jQuery in my master:[Code]....
Like I said this works fine. Now the post action of my login check if it's a valid login, and if so send the user to the passed returnurl or the home page.
However, if the validation fails, I now return the partial view again, which work , but the partial get displayed by itself instead of rendering in the modal form that was opened by jquery.

Nov 16, 2010I have a dropdown list within a details view that allows me to set 1 or many categories to a perticular record(in this case a photo). The select command in this case only displays those catetegories that are not already attached to the selected photo.
all works well and as you select a category and add it to the database the category is removed from the dropdown list and is added to a gridview which shows all categories that photo is stored with.
My Problem is that when i delete the category from the gridview the dropdown list does not delete with said deleted item unless i do a "click in URL bar and press enter" to totally refresh the page.....
how to refresh the dropdown list in the details view after the gridview item has been deleted?
