When creating a new MVC2 project in VS2010 there's a default folder 'Scripts' that comes with the new project. My question is: am I "allowed" to rename this folder? If so, does it effect how to call any scripts that are in that folder?
View 2 RepliesI have a simple photo album. I have some catories in db and corresponding folders. For example, when user creates a category called "Asp Net" in db then a folder called "AspNet" is created. Then user can upload photo and all photos are displayed as thumbnail. No photo is saved in db, they are directly saved lets say AspNet folder. I just fetch filelist from intended folder and list them. However I want user to be able to update category name or delete it. To keep consistency, corresponding folder should be updated or deleted. But when I try it throws exception: Access to the path 'xxxxx" is denied.

I wonder how it is possible to retreive the Folder name in which the file default.cs is in. I do my coding in this default.cs file and will simply retreive the name of the folder that this file is in. If I remember correct Resolve URL could be used to do this in any way but dont really remember how to do this in C#?

IIS threw back the error that the operation requires IIS integrated pipline mode, which obviously isn't available because we're running IIS6.
I want to use authntication which apparently only work on folders. Thus, I wanted to move the Default.asp file into a new folder that I created. When I tried doing this by cut and paste I ran into problems. I changed the reference in the first line of the aspx file "Page" but the code behind VB file no longer sees the aspx page. In other words, the reference to contorls like Listbox1 show up being undeclared.
Is there a way to move the Default file and the related code behind file to a folder so everything works?
Can i retrict the windows dialog to select only files from the selected folder and avoid to navigate from another folders?i am selecting from server side.

I want to delete one file, e.g. Foo1.aspx, then rename another, Foo2.aspx, as Foo1.aspx. However, even after the deletion, I can't rename Foo2.aspx, presumably because TFS keeps around the original for recovery purposes.
Is there a way to do this, other than selecting the contents of Foo2. aspx and pasting it into Foo1.aspx?

i have an action to return a pdf file in my controller,if the return file is for downloading, the following code can be used to modify filename successfully.

HOWEVER, i found that when the pdf file was returned to browser( rather than a pop up window to download), the filename always remain same as the action name! (when u right click file and try to save it on ur hard disk), i was wondering if there is a automatic way to rename the file rather than "right click" and "save as" manually.how to rename the outputfile when it is shown in the browser?
I have a question. How do you rename a file from an upload control and save it in webserver folder?. Actually I know how to save it in the webfolder.
