MVC :: Jquery Resizable Not Working On Ajaxically Loaded Content?

have following div on my page

i have following function to make it resizable

till here everything works fine and i have resize handle in bottom right corner of the div but on click of function the inner div is loaded again from the server

even though i m calling resizable function in ajax callback but it doesn't seem to work. i can't see resize handle in bottom right corner of ajaxically loaded div. the id is right everything is same. what might be the problem?

I have this problem in loading contents of the site where there's a certain time that those elements that supposed to be hidden are shown for a while before the page is completely loaded.
Everything below the dropdown is supposed to be hidden and they show atleast a second that is very noticeable, that I still have the time to have a screen shot. Below is when the content is completely loaded.
Everything inside the content is inside an UpdatePanel, and I am using a jqTransform to transform the form elements. I know that jqTransform is called after all elements is loaded, but I just don't understand why it is showing the hidden elements before the page is completely loaded.
Is there any work around this one that I will only show directly the completely loaded page instead of showing the hidden elements before hiding them?
FYI: Elements hidden will be shown according to the value selected on the dropdown. If the element is hidden before the jqTransform is called, once I show them back, it is unusable or cut off.

I build my website in jquery manner. On document-complete I request data from server (by page method) and put it into html by jquery template. So, I wonder, would this HTML be visible to Search engines crawlers? And if not, how to make it visible? Is there a common solution? Or is it a great disadvantage if jquery?

I am using a resizable() event and I want to bound the max height and max width within another div element. Containment option does not work. So, I used the resize event. I am able to trap the condition where the resize goes beyond the container, but not able to stop the resize.

i m using master and content page and i have created Usercontrol for Left menu of jquery but my menu working fine in html markup but not in content page

I have implemented a lot fo JQuery features into my ASP.Net web application. I am using JQuery, JQueryUI, JQuery Validation and a couple of other plugins. They are all coexisting and working fine. This one page in my app has the JQueryUI tabs, Modal progress pop-up working just fine. This page also has a couple of JQuery AJAX calls to my server side events. That all works fine!
I just added a Jquery date picker to one of the text boxes on the first tab on my data entry form and nothing happens or is displayed when you click on the date textbox. I am going to post the HTML markup for the page and my JQuery code. Please let me know if you see anything glaring? HTML

I have a MVC view that contains some dropdowns like this :

To compliment this with AJAX calls (to create CascadingDropDown) I have the following javascript :

The CascadingDropDownCategory function is from [this site][1].When doing a post the dropdowns is set properply but when running

The lastCategoryId is sill -1? I can see that the dropdowns have got values and should also have triggered the change event? Why is i getting -1?

I want the items to be invisable when the page is loaded. This code makes them fade out wen the page is loaded. Does anyone know how to make the items invisable without the fade out.
Also is storing jquery in the html the only way or can ya use an external file.

I just create a js file and write all my codes into it after i added this file to UserControl and after i get this UserControl's html i use $("#DivID").html(UserControlHTML);

Im using Ajax and Webservice to load UserControls. Its ok i can easily get the html code of UserControl but there is a problem.
For example UserControl's html code is something like that.

When i get this html code and insert it to an div's innerHTML.html looking as it should. But javascript codes which written on usercontrol not working.It should give me alert but its not.

My page structure:1. 4 dropdowns which serve as filter for jqgrid2. a stored procedure (which shows all records if all dropdowns have NULL or empty value)3. a jqgrid which works on data in the dropdownsNow, due to some role restrictions, i have to disable 2 dropdowns and set a value in them and then load the jqgrid. im using ajax (jquery) to load data to my dropdowns.issue: if i use jquery ajax to load my dropdown data, all records are shown. but, if i use dropdown_load method in C#, i get the correct result that is filtered records.is there a way to load all the dropdowns first using jquery ajax and then load the jqgrid so that the jqgrid params take the updated value from the dropdowns...

I have 2 dropdownlists, the second (department) cascades from the first (division). I use a jquery script to update the second drop down list. When the user clicks submit, the underlying model is updated, apart from the new value for department. 2 ideas I have for fixing this are; a) Generate a postback. Prefer not to do this because of bad user experience. b) With a JQuery change event, make a call to server side and set a ViewData variable that I can use to update the field in the model later.
However there must be a better way. This is the view;

But this time I am stuck because my hidden_link control exists inside a dynamically loaded user control, and I do not know it's id, as the id's change to something like this:
ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ctl01_hidden_link2
ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ctl02_hidden_link2
ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ctl03_hidden_link2
I am using
Literal1.Text = "<script>jQuery(document).ready(function() {$("a[id$='hidden_link2']").trigger('click');});</script>";
(which would find an <a> tag ending with hidden_link2) but this only triggers the fancybox for the first user control. How can I inject this script for the required <a> link only? Hope that makes sense.

nfortunately, I can't get my breakpoints to work when in debug mode in Visual Studio 2008 (ASP.NET 3.5, Windows 7, IIS7). The website compiles and opens in debug mode, but the breakpoints themselves generate the following error message:"The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document."There are some recommended solutions online, but for various reasons, either they haven't applied or I haven't been able to make them work. I've been trying to find the solution for about 12 hours now, and I'm getting desperate.(Note 1: This problem is specific to this website. I do have other websites that I open in VS2008 where the breakpoints work fine.)(Note 2: There is only one website/project associated with this problem. This website does not have multiple projects.)

I have a nested master page. A parent master page, a child master page and a content page whose master page is the child master page. I have a reference to jQuery in the parent master page in the head section.<script type="text/javascript" src='<%#ResolveUrl("~/includes/jquery-1.4.2.min.js") %>' ></script> & Page.Header.DataBind(); in the OnLoad event.
I am using jQuery in all the pages including the master pages. However I am getting "Error: $().ready is not a function" in the content page. If I include jQuery reference in the content page it works. Question: If the reference to jQuery is in the master page head section, why aren't the content pages able to use jQuery? When I do view source, the script tag with jQuery is there and it works. The master pages and content page are merged during rendering and sent to the browser as a single html page so I am not sure when master pages are used, jQuery references break.
UPDATE:
When I changed '$.ready(function()' to 'jQuery(document).ready(function($)' it worked! I am not loading any other javascript libraries and I am not using MS Ajax.

I'm trying to use jquery lightbox functionallity when a user clicks on a button in my View, to give a friendly message "Please wait whilst we generate your data etc" whilst the second view that contains a lot of data is being generated. I was hoping to have the friendly message stay on the screen until the second View is ready to be displayed. At the moment the form submit button fires the popup but the button itself is not getting clicked, only the surrounding anchor tag:

In my Application i write one javascript function as

its working fine in IE but in firefox mozila that save as window is not comming.
which function will work for both IE and FireFox mozila.
