View 1 RepliesI'm having troubles remembering how to grab the list view's state, or page, so that when you leave the list, you can return to the list view page you left on. I have a data pager, and I have hyplerlinks for items in the list view that take you to a file upload or file delete page, and then returns to the list view. It returns to the list view's initial state (first page).

View 10 RepliesI'm trying to setup a page that will utilize a dropdown list control inside of a grid view control using VS 2005 2.0 version. Everything that I can find online seems to only show the use of the dropdown list control using a data grid. I don't want to use a data grid because it doesn't have the functionality/ power as the grid view control. how I can incorporate a dropdown list control with the grid view control? I am creating a web user control for a simple poll. I am currently registering it on the page and then referencing it via tagprefix.
The form for the poll is in basic html (no server controls) and is in the front-end of the web control. How can I change the look of the user control depending on the settings passed into it? Is this possible without using server controls?

how to top align a bulleted list using MS tree view control? The default wraps the text and puts the bullet (square) in the middle of the text. I would like to be able to top align the bullet and do a right alignment with text.

This dropdownlist is populated by a column in thetable . This drop down list may have values ranging from 1 to 5.
This values in the dropdownlist are to be made the caption headings of the list view control.
For insance if there are three values in the dropdown there should be three columns in the list box with the heading as the values of the dropdownlist.for 5 it should be 5.
Also there are two additional columns which would be constant.

I am using UpdatePanel to avoid post back. I hav placed "Loading.." image in ProgressControl.
But when i use dropdown list to change price then "Loading.." image is shown on all the rows of list view . but im just changing it on first row but image shows on all the rows.

In fact, the designer class is a copy of a sample class in MSDN and I only tried to customize it to work for me. I'm not sure if all methods are necessary or not.
I have the following two questions:
1- When I use this contrl in design mode, I can add or delete controls to it, in the html view, tags are not updated. so when I close the page and open it again, all changes are lost.
2- I have added this control to the same asp.net project that is using this control. Isn't there any way to have this controil in tool box?

View 2 RepliesI have been working with this database for some time. Here is the situation...
I inherited a MS SQL database that has hundreds of tables with similar data. For instance:
FordTampa_customer is a table,
ChevyAtlanta_customer is a table, etc....
All of the columns are the same...just different tables with their own ID field. All I have done...Inside of another database id is created a table called 'Customer' and added an 'Dealer ID' column along with the rest of the other columns in the other tables...
So the combination of the 'Dealer ID' and the 'ID' field are unique.....I know...its not the best way to do things...but I cannot change the old data structure because I cannot have access to it. I am give back-ups on a weekly basis, so this is all I have to work with.
All right, on to the real point of my post...
Currently, I have an application that I use to select all of the data from the 'Ford_customers','Chevy_customers',etc... and inserts them into my new main 'Customer' table. I do this by selecting the table names, bind it to an arraylist, loop through the list and execute an insert statement.
I do this in VB.NET, but I would prefer to do it in a Stored procedure of some kind....I just am not sure how to accomplish it. I use this syntax to get my list of tables:

I am not sure how to take those names from the table and do another select based on that list of names.
I'm thinking of using a modal pop up control that would have a details view in it. I currently have a details view that uses CSS Friendly control adapters with the CssSelectorClass attribute. Can I use the CSS friendly CssSelectorClass property with a details view in the modal pop up and style it as I'm currently doing with my Details View?

Now I want to attach to the click-event of every single li-element, so that if the user clicks on a div-element, detailed product-informationen should be loaded asynchronously into a details-pane. I know how I can use jQuery to invoke an action-method ajax-style and also how to display the json-result which contains the product-details, BUT I have no idea, how I could attach the onclick-event to every single div, so that I can use the productId to load the details.

I would like a way (Add in etc) to print a list of all of the names of the controls for me to use for the code, rather than having to go through and write them all down.
