MVC :: Select Multiple Oracle Data & Session Data

currently, after allowing the user to login, the controller calls the function in the DAO which retrevies the info from my oracle database. this is the current part of the code that i have, which only allows me to get 1 item from the database and stores it to the string.

I would like to get more then 1 data from the database such as the the user's name, birthday, userstatus etc.. and put them all into a session data, to allow them to be used throughout the website.

I'm using ASP.NET C# with the v3.5 framework, and need to grab data from the session and insert it into an Oracle database. I can connect to the database and manually insert data from a couple of controls I created. However, I have an application with multiple forms that stores data in the session as the user navigates between the forms. The form information is stored in DataTables, with a separate DataTable for each form. I have an idea of how to retrieve the data, but was wondering if I have to code queries to map each field in the database to the fields in the forms? Or is there a way to "give" the database the information from the DataTable and have it insert each of the values?

I am creating a web application that will be running on an infrastructure which will utilise a number of web servers, web gardens and a load balancer.
As the application is using Sessions, and that our application is using Oracle as the database, we would like to use the database to save the Session data. However, I am struggling to find any good examples on how to do this with Oracle.
I note that Oracle provides the following class: Oracle.Web.SessionState.OracleSessionStateStore, but I am unsure what I need to do in the Code Behind and what if any tables do I need to create in the database.

I have an inventory page with a gridview that shows 1 item per record, each item starts with a checkbox in the gridview. Currently users can select multiple records and hit the order button and everything has worked well. Now I have multiple pages in my gridview, and if a user selects a few records from the first page, and then goes to the second page, all the records (checked checkboxes) disappear from the first page.

im creating advance search for my project and end up with the problem of select statement format for 2category.
here is example:
i have advancesearch that has checkbox wherein you can select multiple checkbox. example is selecting category, for example ihave 5 category as shown below.

example if i select the following.
if selected is category 'Sports'
it wil work with this: " 'Select * MyTable1 where [Category Title]='Sports' "
if selected are category 'Sports' and 'News'. what must be the format for my selectstatement for 2 or more category in the same fieldname? should it work with this?

Is there a way to select data from multiple tables other than the UNION ALL statement. Addtionally I need to select data from a different database.

Before i do postback on button click i need to get data from several controls one at at time & store it before inserting it in sql table, suppose its a dropdown control, the user selects multiple choices
say CITY {Mumbai, madras, dehli}
age range 20- 30 from textbox control etc.
Currently on each data selection of control i have button click event which inserts data but I would like to store this data somehwere til all the selctions are made & use the button click once...
I need to store 2 values for each selection ie CITY MUMBAI etc....

So far i've populated my grid view with my roomID. however using data reader I don't seem to be able to get more than one column to auto generate even though i'm now looking for three values : SELECT tt_roomEquip.roomID, tt_room.roomCapacity, tt_equip.equipTitle is my select bit of the sql, though it's only putting roomID into my grid view.

I have a GridView with an extra checkbox column to select rows.
To select multiple rows, the user now has to click each separate checkbox, but I would like to offer the possibility to select multiple rows at once using Shift+click.
Thus the user would explicitly select the first row with a single click and the select the last row using Shift+click. And the checkboxes of the rows in between would then automatically be checked as well.

In the report, there will be a table to list the selected records row by row.
(there is no insert/update/delete for selected records, just selected to print report.)

Ours is a Asp.net web application. Database is Oracle. Its an Internet Application.
Database will be in one location and Web application in another. Data from Oracle to Web application will be passed over Internet.
We are using EnterpriseLibrary. And provider is System.Data.OracleClient.
We need a provider which encrypts the data while passing data over internet.
Do we need to go for some third party Providers or ODBC ?

I am fetching data from oracle data base in asp.net application. To achieve this functionality i have used Oracle.DataAccess dll . In my developement enviorment it working fine.
But once I deployed this code on IIS 6.0 it is stopped working and I checked my log and found connection not get established . Then I make sure Oracle.DataAccess.dll present in to bin folder also I try to put this dll in side GAC, but still my code is not working on deployed server.
