Hi I have a situation where I want to set the initial visible property of an Image to False and then in my code change it to True and then run a sub routine. My problem is that no matter how I order the code the sub runs before the image becomes visible. When I debug the image only becomes visible when it hits End Sub. Is there any way around this? Here's my code:
I have put one mask edit extender for a textbox which is inside a Gridview templete field and the MaskType="Number
Mask="99,99,999.99"My problem is described below Commas are not dispalying inside the GRidView. After clicking in the textbox its coming and immediately vanishing.
e.g. after typing it should come like this 34,56,789.00 but its coming like 3456789.00
I have found a problem with the Masked Edit Extender when using it with a culture of Azeri (Latin, az-Latn-AZ). I have not found anywhere that states that the control should not be used with languages that is not included in the list of languages that the ajax control toolkit is translated.
The currency symbol for Azeri is "man." the first problem is that the mask displays this as "man," but the comma is the decimal indicator for Azeri.
Scenario 1
When the DisplayMoney property is set to "right" and the currency is removed by the masked editors script the resulting value looks something like "12,12," the second comma then invalidates the numeric value and all my compare validator which also acts on the same textbox keeps failing because the value is not numeric.
Scenario 2:
When the DisplayMoney property is set to "left" there is always a "0," added to the string because the the script of the masked editor removes the man then gets to the comma (man",") sees it as a decimal indicator and adds the 0 before the comma this happens on the first blur of the textbox each resulting onblur event will add another 0 to the value. But the value is already invalidated by the fact that it again has two commas like 0,12,12.
I get this result even with the Ajaxcontroltoolkit sample site, the changes needed to sample site's MaskedEdit.aspx page can be seen below.
For scenario 1, change the first MaskedEditExtender on the MaskedEdit.aspx page to the following:
[Code]....
For scenario 2 effect change the first MaskedEditExtender on the MaskedEdit.aspx page to the following:
I'm trying change an input mask for textbox when the the check box has been check or unckecked but the problem that always is picking up the else condation only even the check box it is check or not.
I have a page where I have a tab container and four tabs. the problem is on the first tab "manage quote request" I have a Gridview with the quote request general informatin listed and have a template field created with a link button to databind to the formview quote details. the porblem comes in when after I click on the select linkbutton. the Formview loads right. Then Whe I try to click on the edit linkbuttin in the form view I have to click it twice to change the mode to edit.
I am having some performance problems with IE 7, whereby the page pauses during rendering while scripts are loaded, this is at times taking up to 5 seconds and leaves the user with a blank screen while he/she waits. After a process of elimination I have deduced this is because of the scripts emitted by the asp.net ScriptManager class, by dumping the html and testing the same page with the scripts at the bottom, the problem is resolved (well to the extent that the user experience is greatly improved as the user now has a nicely rendered page to look at rather than a blank screen)So I want to move the emitted scripts to the bottom of the page and looked at setting ScriptManager.LoadScriptsBeforeUI to false in order to achieve this, unfortunately setting this property to false has no effect on where the script references are rendered in the mark-up.
In the postback option class, the autopostback property is not functioning (for true or false) to forcibly set the the post back event on web page load as defined at the MSDN Url http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.postbackoptions.aspx
A client side validation retrieves the GetPostBackEvent reference successully but fails to to load the page as a forced post back event. The options being set are a) ActionURL, Autpostback , RequiresJavaScriptProtocol and perform validation.
I have a form with a ton of gridview controls on it. All of which are driven by a dropdown list control. When I select a value from the dropdown list control it populates the 5 gridview controls with data from the database. If there are no rows associated with the record from the dropdown list then I am going to set the visible property of all of the gridview cotrols to false.
I know how to set the property I just need to know where I would set it and what I would check.I can put my code in the selectedindexchanged event for the dropdownlist control but how do I check to see if there are no rows associated with that value? Maybe some sort of If gridview1_rowdatabound = 0 then...
If view_test button was clicked, initializing the dialog, before the form post backs the checkbox ch1.Checked property in .Net is always False. However if you just postback without initializing the dialog it works as expected.
I am having 2 (dept name, City)dropdownlist, 1 Save button once if we click the save then record will be displayed in grid (Gridview with ShowEditbutton =true and I have Edit logic in my page). But if I click on Edit button then if I try to update the value then it is firing a message "Select dept" because dept dropdown present in the page so I want to make cause validation false for Show Edit buttons (update and cancel).
I have a problem that in DetailsView Edit Mode, if I go to edit fields, and set a fields visible property to false, when I update the record through the built in update options it sends a null value. If I change the field back to visible, it passes the data just fine.
Consequently, I tried just setting the field to Read Only = True, and got the same result even though the current values do show up in the edit mode, just read only.Is there anyway to hide the field but still allow it to pass the data it currently has "BACK" into the record.
im using gridview to read data from datasuorce(my access) and im editing data using 'enable editing' from smart tag(in design window .aspx), now i want to change the edit text: edit(i hav named it as edit) to 'view' for one particular user whose name:'sunil'?
this is my table(in my access layer and calling this data through datasource of gridview):
I'm not entirely sure which forum this belongs in. It works with both my ASP.NET form and my SQL DB.
Okay, I built an application from scratch a couple years ago and am trying to add some functionality so I don't have to do so much manual work.
I have two relevant tables, tableClasses and tableStudent2Class
Classes have 4 possible sessions that are available. These are bin fields which I mark as true if they're available for registration. There are upwards of 40 different classes that are available. Each class has a defined number of slots available (an int field).
The tableStudent2Class connects the tableStudents to tableClasses. There are three fields: classID, classSessionNumber, and studentGUID.
Now, is there some way to make the DB and/or form change the available bin fields to false when they receive a certain number of registrations?
I have a development machine and a server. problem is that whenever I publish a website I need to change manually debug=false.....its frustrating as I am publish almost everyday new version.
I have a database field called ImageLocation, I have the ImageUrl property bound to: Eval("ImageLocation", "{0}")I would like to bind the Visble property to false if the ImageLocation is null data. I can not figure out how to set the control properly, currently the Datalist shows me all the data and when the image location is null it shows me the name of the Hyperlink control which happens to be Hyperlink2.
