Mar 30, 2011I want to open the songfile automatically with blackberry native music player ,upon clicking that link. I have searched almost all web , but i was not able to find a solution, how we can download and open a file with native medal player browser. All the code samples i got was in java. Is there any code for doing that in asp.net ? Any alternative in html? The <object> & <embedd> tags are not displaying in the browser when i run the project. So, i think it won't work ? Is there any possible solution for that.... Suppose the content type="audio/mp3" . can any one specify code for that ?
When normal downloading, again Request Entity Too Large Error appears. It's not bcoz the file is large, Itz only 344 kb. Still its not working.Why is it so?

Mar 23, 2010I would like to allow users to call my ruby on rails app as a service which returns a 'div' with html content in it, and embed that div into their app (which will not be a rails application).
For example, assume someone has their own php website that has a header/footer template that gets rendered, and a content area of the page that they need to fill based on some html I generate in my rails app. I would like to allow them, from php, to call to my website, get the 'div' I generate, and embed that as html in their php page.
What I'm trying to do is host a service on my site that returns some html content, but actually show that content as part of another site, so that the end user only sees the other site and never really knows about mine.
Also, I can use javascript on the client to do this if that is the only way, but I would prefer the php app to handle this at the server if possible so the client gets the html embedded from the original server and it looks like it all was generated by the php script that generated the entire page. I also want to avoid using an iframe.

Dec 17, 2010I'm working on a web page that will be viewed on a blackberry (to start with). On the page I need to be able to add calendar events to the user's blackberry calendar or add new contact records to their contact list.
I've found the api on RIM's site that would allow this [URL] but I have no how to incorporate it into an asp.net page.
I assume I need to write inline javascript but I don't know how to import/include the API libraries that are required. Does anyone know how to do this or, better yet, have some sample code? If this is even possible, I think I just need to get past this hurdle and I'll be on my way (until I trip over the next one ).

None of the methods in the HttpResponse class provide feedback if the data was sent or not, TransmitFile just does its job (or not) and does not provide any means of knowing the result.I was thinking of using the .Filter property but then again, the filter is based on the HttpResponseStream which does also not provide any feedback.

Jul 23, 2010we have windows xp operating system, here we installed my website that will be stored in the location(c://programFiles/) if we run the sample after executing ouputfile(scan.pdf)image file will be stored in C://inetpubs/ftproot/(if file transfer type is FTP). if file transfer type is HTTP then the image file is transfered to the location:c://programFiles/website1/app-data. If we install the same website in windows 2007 64 bit os website will be stored at c://programfile x(86)/. if we run the sample through ftp it is running fine and file is stored at FTP folder. but if we run the same application through HTTP, file is not transferring to destination folder(c://programFiles x(86)/website1/app-data.)
