I'm trying to debug javacript code in my aspx page, I insert a breakpoint, and press F5 for debugging, but there is no dynamic page created in script documents.
Why the asp.net development server not create the dynamic page?
I am trying to do something like this in an aspx page:

I get an error "Preprocessor directives must appear as the first non-whitespace character on a line". How can I do this?

I have a requirement like, There is a grid that has multiple rows. On clicking the "add to list" button, the columns from this grid is added to list of tables where source for one table in this list is read from grid view. note that, the grid view and tables will be having just two columns but the rows added to each table might vary.

Then I tried adding an event handler of user control inside aspx like below:
testUsrControl.Drpdatafield_SelectIndexChanged += new EventHandler(this.Drpdatafield_SelectIndexChanged);
But this line is giving error at **testUsrControl.Drpdatafield_SelectIndexChanged **. The error is "Drpdatafield_SelectIndexChanged" doesn't exist in UserControl.How can get the testUsrControl's events inside aspx page dynamically.
I have a user control (ascx) which contains a control (hidden field). In the page_load event of ascx, i have the below code:

Note: The hidden field resides in .ascx file.
I want to access this hidden field at runtime and i have the below javascript function in aspx page that loads the usercontrol.

I am getting 'null' value in the alert. I tried using 'ClientID' and 'this' instead of 'UniqueId'. I am wondering why this is not working. I am using .net 2.0.

In the database each record gets an ID field. Now when the users clicks submit and goes to the next page, i want the ID's (they could be 1 to 1000+) from the DB that he just inserted and have them available on the second page. how can i take all the id's from page 1 to page 2? can i do it in session? or something else. I was working on a small asp.net app. I have some dynamic themes in the heme folder and have implemented a page base class to load the master page on the fly. The master is having the ContentPlaceHolder like: <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="cphBody" runat="server" />
Now I am adding pages that are derived from my base class and added the form elements. I know, Visual Studio has problem showing the page in the design mode. I have a dropdown box and wish to add the event of onselectedindexchange. But it is not working. the page is like this:

I'm working on an ASP.NET page where I've got 10 entities. I'll call them Items. An Item can be displayed in one of two modes: Featured or Thumbnail. At any given time there is one Featured Item at the top of the page, and the rest are Thumbnails arranged in a 3x3 grid underneath the featured Item Each item is an ASP usercontrol that contains two divs: one div for Featured and one for Thumbnail -- when the item is Featured, the Thumbnail div is set as invisible and vice versa.
