I would like to be able to populate a callander with events, when a user selects a day that has an event highlighted it displays the dtails of that event in a datagrid the user can then click on the name in the datagrid and it will display a page with all the dtails for that name
View 1 RepliesOkay, I have developed VB.NET winforms applications and I understand that working with ASP.NET would be similar. However, this seems way complicated then I thought. Basically, i am working on accessing one table data from a database and populating data in a datagrid. I have few text boxes on the display page and if a user clicks on submit button i want a new set of data with new select statement based on user input.
I don't quite understand how the textbox value can be passed on the same page and a new select statement is generated, which then populates the datagrid.
Here is the code from a datagrid edit command in which I am attempting to populate a DropDownList in the EditTemplate from the database. The result is only one item (the first) from the database, instead of all items.

I have created a calendar and a sql database in .net C#, both are bind together so I can add events into the database and it will display the event on a grid view when a highlighted day on the calendar is clicked, but what I want to do is display the event inside the calendar itself, am having some problems with this code, can someone help me retrieved the data from the database to automatically display it onto the calendar day and not onto the grid view control.

I have a datagrid which displays a list of user data, such as name, his or her status, age. I have created a list of rows of user data but where the column shows status for example Single, Married, i want it to create a dropdown list where i can easily change the user status by selecting it from a dropdown and clicking the update button at the top of the datagrid. The update button will update all records that have been changed not just from the dropdown. I assume the dropdownlist requires a columnbinding event but i can't find any straight forward tutorials.

Is there a way to set up the calendar extender so that the calendar displays when the text box recieves focus AND when the when the element with the "PopupButtonID" is clicked? With my current settings it seems to be one or the other.

I want these dates to have a seperate styling. In the code behind i catch the DayRender event. I have a list will all important dates called "eventDates".

I got one web page which is developed by using Asp.net. and in that page I have got one tab control which developed by using Ajax control toolkit (tab container). In that tab container i have got three tab pannels. In the first tab pannel have got two drop down list boxes and one image control box. wat I was trying to do is that by using calendar extender control in ajax control toolkit i was trying to display a day in the first drop down list box and month and year in second drop down list box. when user click on image control during run time a small calender will pops up and then user will select the propective date according to there choice and when they have finish selecting the date from the calender a day will display on first drop down list box and month and year will display on second drop down list box.
I was keep trying to do that but i was failed. then i took one test box from the toolbox and i was got success in displaying the user selected date in the text box by using ajax calender extender. How to display that date instead of one textbox into two separate drop down list boxes from which a user can select manual date from drop down list as well and from the calendar as well also when the page loads, the two drop down list boxes must show current date ( by default)

I would like the selectedvalue of the dropdown to display additional data base on its selection in multiple text boxes.
I have tried using the DropDownList OnSelectedIndexChanged property, within a DataGrid EditiItemTemplate, but I cannot retrieve data from the selection. (AutoPostBack is "True"). I can however use a button onclick event to fire a "prre-defined" selection value.
I've got two websites. One is a copy of the other, I even went ahead and remade a copy of the original a second time hoping it would alleviate the issue I'm having but it didn't.
On both pages I have a calendar so the route is

The issue is on the original site /Calendar works. It shows the Calendar page with the current month. On the copy site /Calendar gives a 404 but /Calendar/Index shows the Calendar page with the current month.

I am using Framework 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 and Visual Studio 2005.I am using 2 Ajax Calendar Extender in my page. I am using a text box and html image control and setting the TargetControlID to the test box id and the PopupButtonID to the image control name. When i click the first image the calendar pops up and without choosing a date if i click the second image the second calendar control opens on top of the first calendar control. Is there any way i can make the previous one disappear without choosing a date leaving the calendar control associated with the last image clicked.
