I would like to design master page header to show report title and date. For Master footer page, I want to show address and page number. Thus, all report no need to design more page header and footer.

I have requirement that have to add header and footer into 50 over reports. So I dont want to change one by one.
Is there a way to create master page header and footer and used it in multiple reports?
I have at least 87 report in my project what i am thinking to create a custom header and footer item in the report. In Header and footer we are showing a image so if we want to change the image then we need to change the image in all my 87 reports so is there any template that we can set in my header and footer so child report inherits from them.
View 1 RepliesI am currently working on an invoice report which may or may not span across multiple pages. I have a header which I have setup to only be displayed on the first page, and a footer which I have setup to only be displayed on the last page. The problem is, the hidden header/footer reserves unwanted whitespace and messes up the report layout (see the screenshot). The black areas represent space that is reserved by the header/footer. There must be a simple way to remove this unwanted space.

View 2 RepliesI am using Microsoft SQL server 2008 reporting service to generate PDF reports for my application.All was working fine, until I start to get the following error. I came to know after some google that this is because of some JPG images having metadata. If I have png image then its fine, but for me to convert these jpg to png is not an option, since all I have available is JPG.I installed service pack 1 as well, but its same. I have following SQL server installed.

I found few solutions like mentioned here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967618 But thats for 2005. Surprisingly, already solved error for 2005 coming for 2008.

Problem 1: My reports come up in one single page instead of many pages. How do I change it. Can I control how many pages we get? I thought its the height of the report. But obviously I am missing something.
Problem 2: I am using matrix. I want the header to stay on the top when the users scroll through the report. Is this possible?
I have a print button on my site, and when I click it I would like it to print everything EXCEPT the Master Page. I don't care to waste the space and ink on all of the menu and header stuff. Does anybody know how to do that? I'm running Visual Studio 2008.

I am doing a SSRS report to generate some kind of print outs.
I need to have different footers inside the whole print out.
e.g. After first several pages I need to use page number as page footer( this can be easily done). but after that i need have footers as Annex A -1, Annex A-2, or Annex B -1 , Annex C - 1, when the page is Annex A, Annex B...etc.
I am using SSRS in my web aaplication to display reports, but i face few problem like:
1. I have place two textbox in report footer & i want to sum their value and display on third textbox. but error occured, error is :
"Error 1 [rsMultiReportItemsInPageSectionExpression] The Value expression for the textbox 'textbox21' refers to more than one report item. An expression in a page header or footer can refer to only one report item."
textbox21 is third textbox. Expression for Third Textbox is "=ReportItems!textbox17.Value + ReportItems!textbox18.Value"
2. In export option i want to set excel option by default, user just click on export link.
3. Footer section not available in excel or pdf file, when i export report to excel or pdf format.

My problem is, I use the Page Header to include the Report Name & Desc. along with client's Logo, it works however my client doesn't want the Page Header to show on every page just the first page is good enough save papers and keep larger report small.
