I would like to make a function to return a information based on the current date and a process.So my parameters was just NOW() and the Process. For example to process AAA and the date '2011-03-27', I would get the stat 'normal' cause day 27 is between 4-28. (Doesn't matter the month)return case when ((@day >= @INI_DAY OR @day <= @END_DAY)) then @STAT else '' end;OR @day between @INI_DAY AND @END_DAY not works

How to calculate no of days, month and working days
from date
Date1 is Enrolled date
Date 2 is todays date
So I want to calculate no of days and month and working days excluding saturday and sunday
Date1 = 10/01/2012
date = 12/05/2012
I want ans as : total days : 65 days
Month : 2 month 5 days
working days : 48 working days

There is a calendar control in asp.net
For selection mode, there is day, dayweek and dayweekmonth.
But I wanna select randomly like every monday for the selected month.. something like that.
For that, I need to do the custom method.

I am facing a different problem in using Ajax Calendar..
i.e., I am using ajax calendar properly
but whenever i am click calender image it displays ajax calender only 5 days instead of 7 days...

I have records that were inserted into a sql server 2005 table using a stored procedure. I now need to remove or delete these records. The only problem is that the table does not contain a relevant column to define in my where clause when using delete command.
Is there any way I can identify these records for deletion.

i have Intime and Outtime of each employee for all the days of 1st,2,3,4 week.There will be a off for 1 day or 2 days for each employees.Based on this i need to calculate consisitency days off assignmanet i.e no of matching days off among employees in percentage.If there are 100 emplyees out of 100 employees 50 people may get week off on the same day(for example sunday).I want result in percentage.result like this
Consistency Days of assignment Across 4 weeks 3 weeks 2weeks
0 2% 0% 0%
1 98% 100% 100%
2 0% 0% 0%
Here 0,1,2 are macthing days off.Across 98% of employees getting 1 days matching in off i.e 98% of employee might off in sunday.For this we need calculate matching days off for all the days from sunday to saturday across 4,3 2 weeks Here 98% of employees getting off in same day.0 indicates 0 days,1 is 1days and 2 is 2 days(for example 50 percentage of people will get off in saturday and sunday)

I have projects table which have project starting date and end date in datetime() format.every project have some report day which is friday and saturday(which is fixed),the problem is i want to show which project is falling in this week's reports, i think i have to compare project starting date and ending date with this week dates...so i have create function in sql to get week date... but i don't know how can i show...i am totally confused

I want to generate 30,000 cards and each card must be duplicate check with database. In my card, there are 2 things. Serial No and CardID. If any card already exists then I generate another card id but with the same serial no.
So how faster way I can generate 30,000 card with duplicate check? Which one I have made application, it takes about 25 minutes to insert.

As i told in my last post, I am designing a forums website. I am not able to design the query to retrieve the topics for a category for example say catid=1. I want to display it in a grid view as done in every forums.
I made some query :
SELECT Topic.Sub, Topic.CreatedBy,COUNT(Topic.viewers) from topic where catid=1
group by Topic.Sub,Topic.CreatedBy
This is for retrieving the topic name from the subject and the createdby giving the topic starter and the total no. of views of that topic.
Now i want to make a query from the post table displaying the last post in the topic and if the post does not exist, i want to display the 1st post from the topic table as the last post done.

Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near ' <!DOCTYPE html PUB'.
There are tons of references for this error message on the Web, but I can't figure it out. The problem is that the application works fine when I run it locally or when deployed to other servers. There is just one server where I get this error during a post back from an Update panel (it is supposed to populate and open a popup panel). There is no Response.Write() anywhere in the code and the other either. I think. The next thing I will try is install the remote debugger. In the meantime, can someone tell me how to check if server trace is enabled (IIS 6)?

I am very new to this and have watched a lot of the videos. While trying out VWD2010 and SQL2008 Express, I come across many things, I just don't know how to do. Here is the latest:
I have a Table
UserId - Int - AutoIncrement
FirstName - Var(10)
LastName - Var(10)
I also have an ASP web page that allow the user to enter a first name and last name. It also has a button to submit. What I would like to do is have a Select statement check to see if the name already exists, then send a comment back to the user via a label. If it doesn't exist, then I would like to Insert the info and then again inform the user via label.

I want to be able to check if a value exists before inserting a new record in the table. I am taking a nvchar value from a textbox and want to compare it to existing values in the table. My codebehind is:

It is also important to filter down by CompanyID which is held in a Profile table. So the value can be equal in records where the CompanyID does not equal the loggedin Profile.CompanyID. So a user with a CompanyID of 2 can have a value in the table for SubType as "laptop" but a user with CompanyID of 3 can still enter "laptop" if there is no match for "laptop" and companyId = 3.
